faulty 22" VGA/HDMI TV-monitor

  3. i have been give a 22" HDMI &VGA TV/monitor.

  5. there a small fault at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way too
  6. get linux mint/ubuntu based distro too not use that section of the
  7. screen. find pictures attached.

  9. seems to be something too do with this command - xrandr --fb 1160x568
  10. --output VGA --mode 1280x800
  11.  
  12. but i am get a bit lost with it?

  42. *22:00 8th august* this is a work around for now using scaling option - xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1680x1050 --panning 1920x1080 --scale 1.2x1.2
