  1. [15:01] Upon heading over, passing the pond, and skidding across the grass to face a very familiar individual that she had seen not so long ago. "You."
  2.
  3. Short green locks began to sway as ambers hues focused on locked eyes with Naki. There was something about Himari that didn't seem to like how casually in place they were. "You spread those rumors about you defeating our Uncle didn't you?" she inquired, fist clenching slightly before they softened and relaxed. The ease of tension would as well.
  4.
  5. A beat as gravity begin to tighten around Himari but none would feel such unless they were in her immediate vicinity. "Now you're opening up your own dojo? Have you no honor?"
  6.
  7. Despite stepping in and wanting to take her Uncle's place in fighting Naki just so they wouldn't have to be embarrassed. Her Uncle had the tendency to underestimate his foes so easily and that was his downfall. Now here was Himari trying to defend his name.
  8.
  9. "Hard of hearing? That's not the only thing he's disabled in."
  10. (Himari Kurokaiyo)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12. [15:10] After a long day of doing nothing, the mangy half-breed decided to take a trip to his city. People watching was one of his favorite hobbies when he's bored.
  13.
  14. And by the way, people watching was the code word for roasting the nobles as they walked by.
  15.
  16. The first thing he's met with was a young, screaming slum rat. To which he responds slapping the boy right in the middle of his chest, aiming to knock the wind out of him.
  17.
  18. "Why the hell would I wanna go to somethin' like that? Don't you gotta wear your pants--" There's a slight pause, that same hand that had slapped the young boy now sitting level with his chest. "All the way up here to get into one of those things?"
  19.
  20. Was he insinuating that nobles pulled their pants up too high? Yes. Yes he was.
  21.
  22. Right after, he'd turn towards Lander. A pair of animal-like eyes tracing along the boy's features. Studying him as if he were going to be quizzed on it later.
  23.
  24. .. Only to chuckle, slowly shaking his head to and fro. Guess he found something 'funny' about them. Again, people watching - noble roasting.
  25.
  26. And finally, that scrutinizing gaze drifts on over towards Himari. There's a few seconds where the man just stands there, his head shifting ever so slightly to the side. All while one of his gloved hands rose, scratching at the side of his cheek. And softly humming to himself.
  27.
  28. Before finally, he responds.
  29.
  30. "Don't come talkin' to me about honor after your 'Master' had to have a bunch of kids come save him from me rippin' his arm off. It's his own fault for tryin' to step up to me. Also it's not rumors if it's the truth." Shoulders rise and fall into a light shrug, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."
  31.
  32. "And yeah, I'm startin' my own school. Gonna teach people how to win, instead of just bein' someone's bitch."
  33. (Naki)
  34. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  35.
  36. [15:27] "T'ch."
  37.
  38. Himari's boots would move slightly across the grass as her stature became more wide. Eyes unwavering on Naki's position, she never left his contact even if he drifted to look at someone else. She seemed quite serious.
  39.
  40. "Aren't you the one who came in the dojo demanding to be taught? I should..." A current drop in pressure began to surround Himari. It was like the amount of gravity increased around her form. Only a tinge of it was felt and soon the area around her palm would circulate with pure mana that had tons of weight to it.
  41.
  42. Her urge to sink her fist into the male's jaw was a bit noticeable. Just one hit so she could feel just a bit of satisfaction and relief. After all, unlike the other kids that were there to save her Uncle, she was the only one to stand continuously at the sidelines to respect the battle. She followed the codes of their clan and she was going to do just that in this moment.
  43.
  44. The weight of gravity around her form and fist would lighten before there was no longer a hint of the mana that resided. Her expression softened while the first and second code of their clan range through her head.
  45.
  46. "Just so you know, he's embraced and learned from his defeat. He's an honorable man unlike you. The day that I surpass him, I'm coming for you and you only. I hope you can at least hear that in your blockaded ears."
  47.
  48. Himari would slide her arms in a cross as they hid in the drapes of her Kimono's sleeves. Release those genuine words felt a bit stress forgiving to her.
  49. (Himari Kurokaiyo)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51. [15:39] ".. 'Course I did." Stating so in a matter of factly tone, the half-breeds eyes narrowed in. A single step forwards being taken as he stared down his nose at the girl. Staring down directly into the very windows of her soul.
  52.
  53. "You saw what happened. I'm stronger, so I should be the one learnin' and teachin' people how to fight. Not him. But then again.." Once again, there's a pause. Shoulders rising and falling into yet another shrug.
  54.
  55. "Those who can't do, teach."
  56.
  57. Snorting, a string of laughter soon followed. Showing no signs of actually, well, not laughing in the girl's face over the fact that her Uncle had lost to him.
  58.
  59. "I'm gonna teach you somethin' about honor, alright? A lesson on the house. People are only gonna follow it when it suits them. You think anyone woulda stopped your Uncle from killin' me?" Another shrug, "Probably not. People would gone on and one about 'Oh, it's our code of honor not to step in!'" -- He scoffs.
  60.
  61. "So what happened when he was on the ground? Just about everyone one of them stepped up instead of you."
  62.
  63. "Don't go spoutin' about honor unless you're actually gonna be followin' it."
  64.
  65. Offering up a dismissive wave of his hand, the man turned, making his way over to stand beside his only companion here.
  66.
  67. "Go head, come back and fight me for you Uncle's sake. Keep fightin' his battles for him. I'll even teach you if you wanna start learnin' the real stuff."
  68. (Naki)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70. [15:55] Himari only stared back, unafraid for such a direct approach for she was unlike the other kids who were part of her family. They only fought for their emotions but instead Himari fought when there was no other way. It is why she let her mana dissipate instead of causing a bigger commotion that would've stirred to violence.
  71.
  72. Her eyes soon trailed, focusing on the attire of Naki. Rags was all she could see but she didn't look for long before returning to lock the gazes once more. A voice would escape from her lips the moment she continued to speak after he did. "A lesson on the house?" Himari quirked a brow. She wasn't sure if Naki was joking around or not but his expression hidden behind a mask didn't help. She'd only assume that their was only serious tension in the air.
  73.
  74. "I don't think you understand but I'm going to take this offer. Mostly because I want to see how long before you pop under pressure of teaching. You're stronger and better right? That is what I'd be looking for."
  75.
  76. A turn of her heel, prompting to leave the area. However, her head would return to set sights on Naki for the time being, letting it stay there for just a moment. "Where is your abode?" she inquired, waiting for the answer as Naki was definitely someone who lived in the slums. That is what she heard anyways.
  77. (Himari Kurokaiyo)
  78. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  79.
  80. [16:00] ".. Ain't open, yet."
  81.
  82. Seems the guy was actually serious about teaching her. Go figure.
  83.
  84. Shifting around in place, the man turned, one of his gloved hands being brought up to point off towards the west-ish. You know, in the direction of the slums.
  85.
  86. "It'll be somewhere over there, I'll be puttin' up flyers and stuff once we get the actual buildin' up and runnin'."
  87.
  88. "And I know what you're thinkin', no. I'm not tryin' to get you to like me, or see my side. You're offerin' me a good fight. And that's what I'm lookin' for. It's the only thing that gets my blood pumpin'."
  89.
  90. "So if your Uncle couldn't give me that?" Another shrug of his shoulders, his neck craning back, glancing back over his shoulder towards her. The look in those animal-like eyes of his being more than enough to show just how serious he was.
  91.
  92. "Then I'll try trainin' someone to give me a good fight."
  93. (Naki)
  94. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  95. [16:05] "Hmph."
  96.
  97. Himari didn't have much else to say to the man and would continue to depart from the park. Grass that was near her feet would crush under something heavy but it wasn't all too noticeable. She'd clearly reactivated that energy about her.
  98.
  99. Although, the mention of someone being trained for him to get a good fight. She could only assume that being herself. This only drew a path for her future to come and there were many distortions within it.
  100. (Himari Kurokaiyo)
