  1. The Canonical hiring process has several stages:

  4. Written interview and standardised psychometric assessments (this stage)
  5. Meet & Greet and HR interviews where you can find out more about the company style of home-based work and employment terms
  6. Technical assessments and role-specific interviews with engineers and the Hiring Manager(s) for the role
  7.  
  8. It's a rigorous process, with early assessments and tests that you can take at your own pace, followed by several stages of interviews. If I think you are a fantastic candidate but this is not the best role for you at the company, I will steer you to one of my colleagues who may have a different opportunity for you to pursue.

  10. The current stage is your written interview, a prepared statement for interviewers to read in advance of your meeting to cover your interests, priorities, experience and ambition. Please address the following topics in a PDF document:

  14. When did you start working on Linux? Describe your level of experience as a user & developer on Linux.
  15. What experience do you have with Linux system administration? What is the largest group of servers you have been part of operating?

  17. Describe your experience with container and cloud technologies (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes, Openstack, Public Cloud, etc)
  18. How do you deliver a high quality software product? How do you prefer to drive documentation for your products?
