-girl lives in a town, is well liked by all but one bully

-girl isn't afraid to get dirty. she sometimes goes on small adventures.

-girl finds an alien and takes them in.
-girl and alien go on a short quest to get their spaceship back, but Things Happen.

-girl falls off the spaceship into the ocean during a turbulent moment, the stress of the hostile underwater world causes her to fly into a rage, eventually makes it back to dry land, spaceship is crashed again because alien sucks at driving

-girl spends some time with the alien, almost get trapped in another dimension
-alien and girl discover they can't leave to space yet because the world is protected by a huge-ass shield

-girl decides to take alien on an adventure to show them the world
-girl meets bully, bully was apparently a close friend before girl got drugged to hell and back by her prejudiced parents, they become friends again
-girl, alien, and friend go on a quest to meet the girl's parents on a snowy mountain
bunch of stuff happens, they eventually make it to the parent's house in one piece
-girl and alien go in first to meet with the parents
-girl finds out off-hand that one of her best friends from town was never even her friend
-friend later shows up once they're already comfortable with alien, discuss things over lunch
-girl flips out and almost attacks dad, friend gives her a backrub and calms her down
-parents approve of friend after a long talk, they leave soon after
-girl, alien, and friend wind up getting wrapped up in rescuing a climber stuck at the top of the mountain
-they get blown away by the ice bird and land in a distant forest.
-friend winds up returning to his old village, they still don't know why he left
-friend reunites with his brother
-friend and brother find the alien, and soon find the girl

-cops find the brother and arrest him. the city is prejudiced against those of his kind and freedom is unlikely.
-alien becomes a lawyer and defends the friend's brother successfully
-the victim turned out to be an important advocate that went against the prejudiced ways of the city, the key to the place where the planetary shield is powered is found in her home.

-girl, alien, friend, and brother all go home after a long journey, old friend doesn't like friend for same reason girl's parents didn't like him. Old friend cuts ties with girl. Girl grows closer to new friend.
-Group needs to get to the desert, hires a bridge builder with some money from the town mystic
-it turns out the bridge builder is the mystic's sister
-At night, everyone goes missing from the other town
-Group investigates and finds the bridge builder is being sacrificed to an underground creature that has charmed the townsfolk
-Group defeats the creature and rescues the bridge builder
-Group goes home again, prepares to cross the bridge

-Group crosses bridge the next day, enters the canyon
-Group is introduced to the local problem, a gang of bandits who kidnap travellers
-girl and brother get kidnapped
-friend and alien rescue girl and brother from bandits
-group goes through confusing desert to desert temple
-group must face their reflections
...
-group makes it to the top of the pyramid and must fight a guardian golem to smash the crystal
-before they can smash the crystal, they are whisked to another dimension to speak to the one who can see All Time
-Time Seer has called them here because _____, and has been watching them since the beginning.
-the group must now do something important before they can smash the crystal, as it will allow "the horrors of outer space" to once again assault the world
...
the ones from the city are the reason why the shield was built, since they killed the guardian of the skies when they landed here a hundred years ago

What must the group do now, before they can break the crystal and allow the alien to return home?
