  1. It's rare that I am able to wake up feeling as well rested as I was at 6:30, but nevertheless, I felt great. It was an absolutely gorgeous spring morning, with birds chirping softly as the sun began peeking through the blinds and a light breeze running through the window into my room. I immediately shut off the music coming from my alarm clock, hoping not to wake up Tess, who for whatever reason preferred to leave her sleep schedule unaltered, despite the fact that she can easily fit a full nights sleep in a fraction of a millisecond.
  2.
  3. I quickly took a shower and got dressed. As much as I would have loved to spend my Sunday with Tess, I had promised my folks that I would meet them this morning for breakfast. At least the drive will be nice on a day like this, and waking up early enough like this should let me beat the traffic.
  4.
  5. Making my way into the garage, I opened the car door, only to be suprised by Tess already being in there, sitting pretty inside the previously locked car. A few months ago I would have made the mistake of asking how she got in there, but by now I know better. Tess can be anywhere, at anytime, slipping behind any barrier with the ease of walking around a pebble in the middle of the sidewalk.
  6. “Hey dear, I’m from a timeline about two hours ahead of you. Just came here to say that you do NOT want to get in this car- trust me.”
  7.
  8. “Let me guess, it crashes?”
  9.
  10. “Yup, you went splat pretty damn hard; you’ll want to go get the brakes looked at before you even think of taking it out on the road.”
  11.
  12. “Yikes. That’s pretty brutal.”
  13.
  14. She shrugged. “It happens.”
  15.
  16. “Well, thanks for that, I’ll be sure to send it to the shop as soon as I can. What are you going to do now?”
  17.
  18. “After I’ve gone and warned enough versions of you about this whole car crash deal, I’m just going to go and settle down in a timeline I don’t exist in and you’re alone. I’m sure having the girl of his dreams step out of thin air will make his day.”
  19.
  20. “I’m sure he’ll- err- I’ll appreciate it.”
  21.
  22. “You know you will.”
  23.
  24. Taking the handle of the car door, she closed herself back in as I went back into the house. I turned back to thank her, but she had already slipped beyond this dimension, leaving behind no trace she was ever there.
  25.
  26. Ever since Tess ascended into her higher-dimensional form, her alternate selves have been popping up at an increasingly rapid pace. There essentially is only one Tess out there in hyperspace, but the way different timelines twist and diverge lead both of us to view all of them as somewhat different identities.
  27.
  28. After going back in, I placed a call to the local auto shop to reserve an appointment, and then to my parents, letting them know that we’ll have to reschedule. Placing the phone back on the hook, I went back upstairs to see that Tess had woken up and was now sitting cross legged in the bed with four different books spread across her lap. Her pupils buzzed about at incredible speeds, taking in numerous pages in the time it would have taken anyone else to read one. Decelerating the flow of time around her back to its normal rate once she saw me, she dog-eared each book and then shoved them into the 4-D realm, causing them to vanish before my very eyes.
  29.
  30. “What’s the matter? Weren’t you on your way to your parent’s place?”
  31.
  32. “I did, but you went and told me not to. Something’s up with the brakes, so I just went and called to get them fixed.”
  33.
  34. “I told you…? Oh, right. I guess that’s what +2h12m57s told me about next week- I think I’ll give her a gift basket as thanks for the heads up.”
  35.
  36. It was kind of weird hearing her talk about- well- herself like that. But to her, interacting with her alternate timeline selves was little more strange than just having a big support group- a sort of omni-temporal neighborhood gathering populated only by herself. Chatting up her future selves certainly helped us out in certain cases like this, as each individual Tess usually tries to avoid looking at the future too much, saying that it will “spoil the surprise”. While she could always peek off to see what will happen next week, year, or millennia from now, she seems to prefer to walk the 4-D hyperspace blindly, with her eyes on the cosmic sidewalk, so to say. In her own words- “I’ll be here long after this reality collapses, and then I’ll have all the Pentaspace (see note #1) in the world to do whatever I want, but until the day this universe is gone, I want to live through life normally, with you.”
  37.
  38. “Well, let’s take a look at what’s wrong.” Tess said, getting out of bed.
  39.
  40. In less than the time than it took to blink, we were back in the garage, with Tess having instantly showered and changed. Her location jumped around the car a few times, observing the body from a few different angles to see if she could locate the damage.
  41.
  42. “Wow, you’d never have noticed anything wrong with it unless you were told. I’m really glad I warned us against it. You said the shop would take care of it? Are you talking about the one off Route 71?”
  43.
  44. “Yeah, it's them, but they said they don’t have an opening for another two hours.”
  45.
  46. “Alrighty then, I’ll just give it to them then.”
  47.
  48. With that, Tess grabbed at the bottom of the car, rolled it out of the garage, than held it up over her head one-handed (see note #2). I felt the air twitch as she sped away, distorting the rate of time around her until she herself had proportionally accelerated past light speeds. She was only gone for about a second- rather slow for her given that she could have done it in literally no time at all, but simply having the car appear to vanish before my eyes would have went against her inherently flashy nature. I don’t exactly understand how she gave them the car two hours in the future while taking it out now, but I’m pretty sure I still wouldn’t be able to even if she did explain it to me, so I didn’t ask.
  49.
  50. With the same hand that had effortlessly carried a car overhead, she gave me a light, loving tap on the chest, then walked her fingers up to my shoulder.
  51.
  52. “Well, with the car out of the way, it looks like I have you all to myself…”
  53.
  54. Another blink and we were both back in the bedroom, with her sitting on the bed as if she had never left, once again in the thin silk dress she had slept in. I didn’t need another invitation. As I began stripping down to my boxers, Tess held her hand out as it began to taper, with the majority of her forearm vanishing only to fold back out into space across the room and close the windows and curtains. Clearly, what we were about to do deserved some privacy.
  55.
  56. I slid into bed next to her, and as her arm coalesced back into existence on her body, we simply hugged, arms wrapped about each other. I reached up with my hand during our embrace, running my fingers through her blond hair. She had gotten it cut recently, not due to it growing too long, seeing as her body is timeless, but more as a result of her simply wanting to try a new style. It only came to the base of her neck, and to be truthful, I had actually preferred it the other way; I just didn’t say anything because she seemed happy with it.
  57.
  58. “You didn’t happen to like my hair longer, did you?” Tess asked, seemingly reading my mind.
  59.
  60. Somewhat embarrassed, I stammered a response. “Y- yeah, but you look great either wa-”
  61.
  62. I suddenly realized I was talking to an empty room. The bed was empty. I fell on my face as I now found myself hugging nothing but air.
  63.
  64. Shit, did I upset her?
  65.
  66. I felt like a jackass. Surely I could have been a little less blunt with how I told her…
  67.
  68. “Hey honey! I was told you liked the longer hair.”
  69.
  70. I turned around to see her laying behind me. She was almost completely identical, down to the outfit, but now had the same long, flowing hair she had possessed a few weeks ago.
  71.
  72. “Where did- wait- which Tess are you?”
  73.
  74. “Oh, I’m Tess from a timeline where you liked me with shorter hair, but I didn’t want to get it cut. Your Tess and I just decided to swap places so everyone’s happy.”
  75.
  76. “So everything else is the same?”
  77.
  78. “Pretty sure. Correct me if I’m wrong, but if I’m not mistaken, this country uses dollars as currency, we breathe oxygen, all women have a third nipple on their small of their backs…”
  79.
  80. “...Umm, about that last one…”
  81.
  82. Tess burst out laughing. “I’m just fuckin with you, babe! Seriously, nothing aside from my hair is different in my home timeline. We even had the exact same car troubles you did just earlier.”
  83.
  84. Her voice dropped down to a sultry whisper.
  85.
  86. “Now, where were we?”
  87.
  88. This new Tess leaped on me with surprising force, pushing me down on the bed. She was clearly into it, and craved my touch, anywhere she could get it: my neck, my shoulders, my back- more places than she could possibly reach.
  89.
  90. But Tess doesn’t care about possibility.
  91.
  92. Breathing heavily, Tess relaxed her grip atop me and rolled off to the [Left/Right], placing both hands upon my [Chest/Sides] as she took two options at once. She was causing a timeline split, but was holding said timelines together by sheer force of will, causing two distinct possibilities to overlap and become equally true. Each Tess than [Moved/Kept] her attention [Somewhere Else/Where It Was], as both timelines were sliced apart yet again. I was now surrounded on all sides by four equally valid possibilities of Tess, as she [Hugged/Kissed/Gave A Shoulder Massage To/Climbed Atop] me.
  93.
  94. She began to potentially lower herself upon me, taking in my manhood that I swear had been clothed a split second earlier, riding me gently with the sway of her hips. Once again, she held a hand out, making sure I could clearly see it despite my vision obscured by her multitude of alternate selves. Her hand collapsed instantly, vanishing beyond this world, only to reappear just as fast. I couldn’t see where it had reappeared, but I certainly felt it.
  95.
  96. Her hand had re-emerged within her own sex, and was now wrapped around my shaft, pumping me alongside the already stimulating feeling of my thrusts inside her.
  97.
  98. Two minutes passed, and I began to feel as if I was already nearing the peak, my body crying for release. The three Tesses not directly on me began to retract into one another, possibilities merging into one inevitable conclusion.
  99.
  100. “It can only end one way, and I want it all to myself.”
  101.
  102. I came, an orgasmic rush traveling the length of my body. I breathed deeply as I felt myself begin to come back down, only to look into her eyes and see a wide grin upon her face.
  103.
  104. I came again, just as strong as the first time, yet not feeling even the slightest bit exhausted by it. For a moment, I thought that maybe I was just feeling the second wave from a single, particularly good bout of sex, but then the third one hit.
  105.
  106. Then the fourth.
  107.
  108. Then the fifth.
  109.
  110. And it didn’t stop.
  111.
  112. My mind racing in the utter bliss caused by a nonstop stream of orgasms, I happened to look at the clock beside me, and saw it flashing wildly.
  113.
  114. 9:10
  115.
  116. 9:22
  117.
  118. 9:31
  119.
  120. 9:43
  121.
  122. Time seemed to be jumping ahead, each skip corresponding to yet another orgasmic burst. I was so awash in sensation it was hard to move, but I dragged my gaze back to Tess’ unbroken, cloying grin. My mouth flopped uselessly as I struggled to speak.
  123.
  124. “W-w-what a-a-are you d-d-d-doing?”
  125.
  126. Tess made me wait a very long time for the answer, enough for three more orgasms, and another half hour of time to pass on the clock.
  127.
  128. “Don’t you see… I’m erasing your refractory period!”
  129.
  130. Even if my thought process wasn’t being blasted by an unyielding onslaught of orgasms, I don’t think I could have understood what she meant. Tess let out an angelic laugh.
  131.
  132. “We’re having sex dozens of times, but your body doesn’t remember getting tired or spent at all! The arduous build up leading towards release has been erased from reality… all you remember… all that exists within this world… is nothing but the results! Orgasms from hours upon hours of lovemaking have been strung together end to end; we’ve entered an everlasting climax!”
  133.
  134. That was all she said before leaning down and planting a kiss on my lips, my unyielding erection still comfortably inside her. We embraced passionately for hours which felt like minutes, then days that felt like hours, as the room darkened, than lightened, than darkened again. But even through her cutting out large chunks of my inevitable exhaustion, the seconds-long orgasmic bursts stacked up, and my mortal body soon reached a point where it could go no longer. Tess climbed off of me and back to my side as I began to drift off.
  135.
  136. “This has been the best day ever… I wish it would never end…”
  137.
  138. And with that, I fell asleep, with Tess’ beautiful smile being the last thing I saw before my eyes closed.
  139.

  146.
  147.
  148. Note #1: A version of Tess explained this to a version of me in more detail once supposedly, but that version had to be committed to an insane asylum as she tried to not only explain more about the 4-D world, but also her limited understanding of the 5-D word. Therefore, she gave me the simple rundown: just as our 3-D lives are bound by a finite amount of time, she herself is bound by some quantity of the 5th dimensional aspect that lays even beyond her. So while to us, she is an immortal who will infinitely outlast our physical universe, she is free from that existential dread that one would typically think a human granted immortality would encounter.
  149.
  150. Note #2: Dip your finger in paint and poke it on a piece of paper. That’s a pretty small dot, right? But your 3-D body so much bigger than that tiny imprint would imply. Behind that dot is a finger of infinite area, far greater and far more massive than a 2-D observer could ever comprehend. Similarly, behind Tess’ typically petite 5’ 2” frame is a form of incalculable proportions, able to exert infinitely more force upon our universe than any other human her size would otherwise be able to.
