►PERSONALITY : Aya is quiet, but not painfully shy. Just contemplative. She is a very creative person and tends to focus on one thing, and just one thing. Although she isn't super introverted, Aya hates awkward situations and tends to hide her feelings to avoid creating an emotional scene. She tries not to let her emotions affect her work. On stage, she is usually confident, but sometimes freaking out on the inside. Off-stage, alone, she sometimes breaks down but rarely talks to anyone about it. She doesn't easily let people into her world, but once she does, she is very loyal to them.
►BACKGROUND : Aya was born to a Korean mother and a Japanese father. She was born in Seoul and lived there for two years, until they moved to Kyoto to be with her father's familh. Although she lived in Japan for the majority of her life, her mother spoke Korean around the house and because of it Aya is mostly fluent, though she sometimes makes little grammatical mistakes.
Even when she was little, Aya wanted to be a star. She would sing and dance, performing for her family often. Her aunt was a moderately successful singer, and Aya followed her example. When she was in elementary school, her parents enrolled her began taking vocal lessons and loved it. She performed with a friend at her middle school's talent show, overcoming her stage fright, and did well. Because of her outstanding performance, her teacher suggested she apply for an agency.

►HER OFF STAGE PERSONA : Off stage, she is a lot more relaxed than on stage. She says random things and doesn't really care if her friends think she's weird.
►HER ON STAGE PERSONA : On stage, Aya is very nervous, but focused on her performance. She has stage-fright, and has had to overcome that, though she is still self-concious and sometimes loses her cool.

When Aya moved back to Seoul, alone, for her career, they ended up going to the same high school.
