  1. You raise a hand upwards, towards the axe, and just a moment before the axe makes contact with your bare hand, a golden circle appears just above your hand, which expands outwards to cover all of Tiamat's head from harm through a follow up attack. Keeping up two separate barriers of this size would've been impossible for you before you gained your Dragon Core, but now... now you could probably maintain a dozen of the damn things before your natural magical energy regeneration wasn't enough to overcome the cost of casting them all.

  3. The Axe of Marduk slams into the barrier of truth, an Axe with the power to slay Tiamat herself and rend her in twain is stopped dead by the barrier floating in the air. Yeah, it's definitely far more effective to use your barriers like this than it is to attempt to use your magic to form shields that you hold yourself. If you had attempted to hold back this attack with your own strength instead of the strength of your magic alone, your would've been squashed against the top of Tiamat's head by your own barrier.

  5. Still, your barrier holds with ease as the Axe of Marduk fails to scratch it at all. "What... manner of sorcery is this?!" Marduk sounds understandably upset at your intrusion into his battle, but you really couldn't care less about what he thought "You're nothing to me! You are the most insignificant looking general of Tiamat I have met!" He smashes his axe against the barrier once again, and once again, nothing happens, his axe making a terrible noise as it crashes against the unbreakable barrier.
