Nobody knows when it truly started.

Just a few years ago, demons are just myths. Fictional entities conjured by our collective imagination to justify the woes and evil of our lives. Malicious beings for writers and storytellers to weave tales of good and evil, their nature as varied and diverse as our darkest fantasies.

Then we found that they are amongst us all along.

And by the time we have to do something about them, it was too late. The demons had overtaken a century-long shadow campaign to eradicate humanity’s collective understanding of magic bit by bit. Communities of magic users were hunted down and exterminated with extreme prejudice.

Ruthless campaigns of genocide were going on behind our back without us any wiser, our blindness further reinforced by our obsession with new found technology. In our pursuit of the future, we dismissed our occultic heritage as foolishness and superstition.

Now our ancient enemy is amongst us, and we are helpless to stop them.

Or so they thought.

We might have lost all our occultic lore due to their effort, but what they’ve given us might be more valuable than they’ve thought.

A fresh new start, unmired by tradition and preconception. No ancient dogma to hold us back, no sacred creed nor covenant to halt our reckless pursuit.

Once demons foolishly provided the evidence that magic exists by revealing themselves, our scientists threw themselves into the subject with maddened zeal rivaled even the most demented of warlocks. Our best and brightest utterly riled up by the new field of mystery and unknown, and the urgency of the crisis allowed them to throw all caution into the wind and indulge in their darkest curiosity without restraint.

Armed with the scientific method, modern information technology, and most of all, presented with a common foe, humanity’s occultic might rose to a new height unseen in human history. Repeated engagement with hostile demon only drove new discover and inspired more depraved experimentations.

In their effort to conquer mankind, the demons had created a monster that could rival their own evil. One who justifies their own atrocities with the false notion of greater good, relish in horrific acts in the name of progress.

After all, everyone agreed that the demons must be stopped,

One of the primary methods for the demon to usurp us is to directly target our population via cross breeding.

For a century, they have contaminated our gene pool with demonic ancestry. Due to some quirk with demonic hierarchy, humans who inherited the genes can be subverted with relative ease under the right trigger condition. The subject’s very blood, once awakened, would compel him to serve their demonic sire without question.

While we have concocted a few workarounds for this problem, we still have not able to completely subverting this inherent mechanic of demon heritage.

Thankfully, most modern humans have their demonic blood diluted enough to avoid total domination by the demons, with the right precaution of course. The blood, despite their subversive nature, is still a key for our research and practicing of demonic magic, the few who had their blood awakened under our purview are given reliable protection against such tactic.

However, those who are only one generation away from true demonic sire have no such protection. Any child of a demon parent will be completely and utterly submissive to their ‘clan’ despite retaining human appearance. We currently have no reliable means to pick out such personnel from the mass.

In would be in our best interest to prevent the demons from directly sire any more child from our females, until we figure out a way to root out these perfect agents.

Despite the demons’ attempt to be covert about their breeding operation, we have raided and recovered not insignificant amount of female victims, who provided us with a thorough and complete line of specimens for our study of demonic pregnancy and their corruption through insemination.

Turns out, the female womb is a wondrous organ that could handle demonic energy like nothing else. The fact that it could incubate and gestate new life from an alien and metaphysical species completely from a mortal organ speaks much of its still unexplainable compatibility with the otherkin.

Further studies definitely required.

From the recovered subjects, we have successfully awakened a few females to be able to wield magic. Unbeknownst to them, their artificial magical core was wired to their tainted womb, allow us to observe how sexual interaction with the demons would affect our brand of magic.

Their memories were wiped so their traumatic experience would not interfere with their mental well-being. These girls would be given standard witches training and send out into the field.

They will be our third magical girl squad. Depend on their performance we may base our fourth batch of magical girl on their design.
