Summer Speedrun Goals

It's been a bit of a hectic few months for me, mostly in my head rather than any physical place, so I haven't felt in the best state of mind to be running or streaming of late. This does not really merit going into, but let it suffice to say that I will be graduating college in a couple weeks, and that is a large part of the weight that I've been under.

Over the years, in a number of different arenas, I've found one of my greatest failures to be not setting concrete and reasonable goals for myself. Without taking down the actuality of what I want accomplished, I often fail to even make any effective attempts at my desires whatsoever. So despite some of my recent misgivings about speedrunning in general, I know that I am not finished with the thing, because I am not yet satisfied with my contribution to it. And to better organize this process, I have decided to be fully explicit about my goals.

These are listed in rough order from most important to least important, but that doesn't mean I will necessarily tackle them in that order--more that I will focus the most time on the more important things, though I will still work at each one simultaneously. Goal times are listed by those that I already have a rough idea (or a very good idea) of what time I want/is reasonable.

1. Pokemon Sapphire Version Any% - 2:04:xx IGT

2. Harvest Moon 64 All Photos - 8:59:xx RTA

3. Harvest Moon: Magical Melody Any%

4. Harvest Moon: Back to Nature 98%

5. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (various categories)

Numbers 1 and 2 are by far my primary concern, and I feel confident that I will complete at least the first 3, but I wanted to lay out as much as I could think of while still being reasonable about what I could achieve in these next few months. Speedrunning is also absolutely not of singular focus for me this summer, but still something I want to devote a good amount of time to. I will edit this list as things progress to check off that which I have finished and perhaps add anything that springs to mind.
