New video on SMB1 any%

Q: Bismuth why don't you make a video on the new SMB1 record?

A: Simply because there isn't anything new for me to talk about. Kosmic's new record is incredibly impressive, but it boils down to the flawless 8-4 I was referring to. It represents the "future WR" mark, being 1f behind the Mario displayed on the infographic. There is no new tech, just cleaner execution in 8-4.

The only new development is very minor, and it's 8-2 being slightly less impossible than I anticipated, but since it still remains unviable to go for in full game runs, no need to make a big fuss about that just yet.

I would consider posting an update if 4:54 becomes demonstrably right around the corner, to bring interest in whoever is going for it seriously. That would require some major changes in the current 8-1 and 8-2 consistency of virtually 0%, but if it somehow happens, then yes, maybe I will make a new video on SMB1 any%.
