Things you could do in the future to avoid this happening again:

- **NEVER FLY WITHOUT REBUY**

- Don't buy a ship without C rating it at least, and if it's a large ship A rate on purchase or save up until you can

- Get engineering done straight away as well, large ships flown by CMDRs that have not dabbled in PVP are hot targets. Ideally, you want to upgrade your shield booster AND generators first.

- When flying in SC, always check who's in your instance, what ship they're in, what weapons they have (and an interdictor or not).

- Also in SC, never let any suspicious ships get on your tail lest you want to be interdicted. Always assume the interdictor is well engineered and will shoot on sight.

- Upon interdiction, depends on your skill, you can either choose to fight it (and hope to hell you win) or submit and slam **4 pips into shields** and prepare to **highwake**. Depending on any meme weapons like grom bombs and shield torps/mines, you'd want to take additional measures.

#What you can do now

- Get your sidey, do some bounty hunting until you can afford a hauler.
- Do a couple of rare trade loops until you can afford the advanced discovery scanner and detailed surface scanner. If you haven't gotten an A rated FSD, do so during or before rare trading.
- Slam on some RTR, do as many ELW/TWW scans until you can afford to run passenger missions in a ship of your choice. Preferably around 375 scans to be in a real "safe" credit zone.
- Outfit a conda for passengers and slam that away until you have a nice healthy balance.


You may choose to do this in solo/pg for additional safety as well. Overall this would take around a week, however there's nothing I can do about the loss of any engineered module.
