- (Grace) The conversation with August went well, and dinner was a pleasant change from just grabbing what was within reach--probably healthier, too. Still, Grace eventually found herself back in the bunk after checking on the kids and drifting off to a somewhat restless sleep. There wasn't a way to tell exactly how long she'd been dozing off before the knocking on the door-the first one jostling her from slumber with a little "Huh." The second was followed by the voice of their newest survivor. Whatever was happening -- didn't sound good. "Y-yeah, coming. Don't worry, I'll make sure Leon's awake too," she said, while getting out of bed, reaching down just below for her tan leather jacket, and grabbing the pistol from within the inner pocket. Going over to Leon's bed, she placed a hand on his shoulder, gently pushing on his shoulder, doubting he wasn't at least a little more awake now from Jordan's knocking. "L-leon, something's going on. Enough resting your eyes."
- (Leon) The weird half-awake dreamscape was crushed under the suddenness of the knocking. It took him a moment to realize what was going on - that the knocking wasn't in his head, but actually happening. Groaning some, he stirred. "Wh--" It was Grace now working to wake him up. Brows knit, feeling a stirring of foreboding in his gut. His hand wrapped about the butt of the Requiem and pulled it up as he lethargically sought to sit up, avoiding the underside of the bunk above him. "What's going on?" Surprisingly, he didn't react violently toward her because he was already semi-aware she was there. "Who--" It was Jordan? Getting up with another grunt, the gravelly tone from resting more prominent. "Everything alright?" It obviously wasn't, so he grabbed some of the Requiem's limited ammo and shoved it into his pocket haphazardly. Moving with just a bit of a stagger after Grace and Jordan... That's when he heard it. A part of him kicked in and he moved passed the women swiftly, drawing up the Requiem. "Where's August?" He glanced over at Jordan, turning to look at her when he had paused near the elevator. The sounds from the door were getting louder as a result. "Shit." Something was wrong and he was absolutely concerned for those who were in the Bunker. "Get Ellie." To either Grace or Jordan before he sought to go toward that one door they couldn't open. "August! August?" He called for the other man, sounding rather concerned. He had no idea how the man felt currently and that spiked his adrenaline, straight to the rest of him. Whatever vestiges of sleepiness had been there were gone now. Completely.
- (August/Whatever nickname they have atm) The sound of a latch click. Instinctively, he glanced towards her holster. Good. She was still armed. It's smart of her to stay that way-- the safety of the bunker isn't an absolute, after all; but then, after they'd gone together to the point where different halls cross, between the main thoroughfare, she'd offer it to him. A brief moment of consideration for a near-stranger, on her part. He might not know how to handle a firearm, but he'll take it anyways. To ease her worries a bit, if she had any. "Five bullets. Okay. I'm-- sure I won't need it though." Because at this point, they can see the elevator and down the adjacent hall pretty clearly. No one had come down... so, there were only a few options left. One was pretty bad and one was just inconvenient. He's hoping for the latter of the two. Jordan sets a quick pace down her hall, August goes down the other. Towards the med ward. Towards the increasingly aggressive sounds of metallic banging. It was only when he'd almost made it to the waiting room that he found the source. A worst case scenario. The mysterious door has been breached. -- BANG. BANG. Gunshots, in the bunker. In the direction Leon and whoever else stuck with him was headed. That couldn't bode well.
- (Red Glow) What had started as a mostly peaceful day. Primarily taking care of Aya and trying to make sure she was okay and recovering... Its been a hot minute since he had last been outside. A tad bit behind on his tasks and objectives but he certainly had plenty of time on his hands... He'd finally have begun on his normal routes. Crossed off a few locations on his way. Small points of interest worth inspecting and checking out. Gun stores ransacked, Hospitals usually hotspots for infected, pharmacy buildings ransacked and looted thoroughly. Anything to increase one's chances of survival were of course were looted and scavenged... His route would lead him back to the BSAA Bunker. The Bank seemed quiet. Infected likely dispersed... But why does he have this sudden sinking sensation...? "BSAA Bunker, this is Paradox. Status?" A few moments... Its usually like that with those inside the bunker... Without much else thought, without properly waiting to hear back from anyone. He'd pull his MK18 from his back and descend from the building he had been atop. Chamber check, loaded. Mag full, EOTech on, Suppressor screwed on tight... He'd navigate into the bank building, quickening his pace and heading to the vault to check out the elevator... Was there any way he'd be able to get down on his own without damaging something important? Or locking down the bunker? Everything seemed fine, everything seemed okay, but this sensation was too apparent to ignore. Maybe it was just his eagerness to actually get something done? Seek answers or seek some kind of information since the last time he was on the surface.
- (Jordan) As she was just about to take on the responsibility of finding whoever this Ellie was, her ears boomed with a heavy, ringing vibration. She knew that sound, that was her gun. August was in danger. Breaking out into a full, untamed sprint, her boots echoed throughout the halls as she closed the distance to the crossroads of hallways. Falling and slipping a little as she took a corner too fast, she'd scramble back up, her gaze soon falling on the firing August. Slowing her roll ever so slightly, she'd announce her arrival before planting a hand on the broad shoulder of the EMT, "August! I'm back." Her tone was rushed, as if her brain was moving too fast for her mouth. With her hand on his shoulder, she'd swiftly, yet gently, take the gun from August, holding it up and gazing down the front sight. BANG. BANG. Two more shots rang out through the bunker, this time landing in the arm of one infected and piercing between the eyes of another. "Leon's coming, so is Grace. Do you -- have a different weapon?"
