Tijuana part 4: everyone is pretty bummed

Covet: Cadence was sitting criss cross on one of the loungers on the beach, looking out at the ocean. Her hands gripping a water bottle tightly slightly fidgiting with it. She was working on her breathing, inhaling slowly as her eyes just looked out at the water. She'd been feeling anxious all day. // Felix had everything that he and Steph would be using for their camp out tonight. He'd double checked everything then left his stuff on the porch so that he could hunt down Steph. // Kelsey was in the kitchen mixing herself a drink, adding the booze and juice mix stuffs making some sort of fruity concoction. She was humming and dancing a little in the kitchen, but the over all mood of the house had been pretty somber since Javier had been found. // Tae had just gotten out of the shower to feel less sweaty, She was treating herself to a left over party favor from Drew, and was in the middle of crushing it up like he'd done, and seperated a little bit for herself before snorting it. Tae hadn't really been sleeping the last couple of days, rather chipper and energized despite the given shitiness of Javier's death. leaving the rest of what was there, she adjusted her boobs in her top and made sure it was tight, then made her way downstairs where everyone else was at. She'd completely forgotten about her necklace with the ring from Drew on it.
Alexithymiaa: -Steph sat on a blanket laid out on the beach, her sketchbook positioned in her lap with her pencil pinched between her fingers. She hadnt really slept the last couple of nights because she couldnt stop thinking of Javier and his face. Letting out a sigh, she dropped her eyes to the book in her lap, adding some shading to her picture before lifting her eyes to glance up at the crashing waves again. // Brad was on his way down the stairs behind Tae, his beanie kind of damp and slapped on his head and probably extra smelly given the circumstances of where they were for the week and they werent in a position to actually wash it. Turning to head into the kitchen, he made his way over to Kelsey making her drink, peering over her shoulder. "What do we got?" he asked cheerfully, clearly unaffected by Javier's untimely death. // Adam was in the gym on one of the weight machines desperately trying to keep his mind occupied on anything other than what they'd done Tuesday night. He stared hard at the floor, pushing his muscles to further lift the gross amount of weight.-
Covet: Looking up she saw Steph down the beach a little bit sketching, since breathing wasn't doing her a whole lot of good right now she made her way down the beach to where Steph was at and sat down next to her. "Hey."// Felix saw Adam in the gym area and gave him a wave, "Hey Man how's it going?" He asked him cause he hadn't really talked to him since he helped bury a god damn body with Brad. // Kelsey looked at the cup and shrugged, "I'm not entirely sure actually, but hopefully it tastes good. I can make some for you too if you want." she said looking at him, watchng him intently the last couple of days because who just burries a body and doesn't even think about it afterwords. // Tae walked into the kitchen with Brad and Kelsey, "So, what's with everyone lately? You guys are all acting like someone died or something." She asked kind of bouncing on her feet, "Oh could you make me one too?" She asked Kelsey with a smile.
Alexithymiaa: -Steph slowly lifted her head when Cadence walked over, twirling her pencil around in her fingers. "Hey..." She spoke in a somber voice, her eyes fixing back onto the ocean before going back to sketching. // Brad looked into the cup and shrugged, not really caring what it was anyway. "Yeah sure, make me one." He turned to look at Tae, raising his brows. "What? No. Why would you say that?" // Adam looked up from the floor to look at Felix, kind of staring at him like a deer in headlights. "Huh?' He asked since he'd been in his own little world and not paying attention.-
Covet: "I take it you're not doing any better than I am right now." Cadence said to her then put her legs out to wiggle her feet, getting the cirulation back into them after sitting criss cross.// "I asked how is it going?" Felix repeated himself and looked Adam over. // "Yeah sure, Tae." Kelsey said then went about making some sort of rendition of her own concoction. She looked at Tae and furrowed her brow then looked at Brad and his completely obvious look, shaking her head. // "Um, the fact that everyone's moping about here like it's a funeral? I thought this was spring break, we should be down at the pool living it up, we've only got a couple of days left."
Alexithymiaa: "Our friends buried a body." She spoke in monotone as if that answered Cadence's question, although it sort of did. She didn't say anything else, moving her pencil over the paper in her lap. // "Well then let's go to the pool. Kels?" He asked as he turned back to look at her, his brow raising as if to suggest she should cover her tracks a bit better in front of people who dont know what happened. // "Oh. Uh..." Adam trailed off, dropping his hands from the machine to fall into his lap. "It's... going." He stopped, not really being one for words right now because his brain was filled to capacity with shit feeling.-
Covet: "No? You don't say? I was hoping that was all a really bad dream." Cadence said looking at her, answering sarcastically. "As if I needed more stress right now." // "You need to talk about it or anything?" Felix offered to him. // "I'm not really feeling the pool tonight. Maybe we could hit up the hot tub instead?" She suggested then looked back at Brad, because she didn't say anything one way or the other about the body issue, sliding their drinks to them. "They're probably really alcoholic, I have no idea how to mix drinks." // "I'm cool with the hot tub, that's fine." Tae took a sip from her drink and puckered her face a little bit, "Wow Kelsey, I know who to go to if I want to get fucked up now."
Alexithymiaa: "I know..." She sighed, squeezing her pencil hard. "It makes already difficult situations even more difficult. All I wanted to do tonight was have a romantic campout on the beach with Felix. And I can't get my mind off this..." // "Hey, hot tub works for me." Brad said with a shrug, grabbing his drink and taking a quick sip. "Woah Kels... this is going to be interesting. Shall we, ladies?" He asked, gesturing towards the doors where the hot tub was. // Adam shook his head, pushing himself up from the machine he was seated at and walking over to the rack of dumbbells, turning his back on Felix. "No..."-

Covet: "Well at least you have plans tonight to try and keep your mind off of it." Cadence said then gave a sigh. "I still haven't talked to Remy at all, not after all this happened after last night.// "You sure, it's not really good to keep all that battened down, and I was there, so I can at least relate that way."// Kelsey looked at Brad and shook her head, as he put his arms out, walking past him, sipping her potent drink. // Tae followed out with them not picking up on the intent behind Brad's comment, because her mind was going a mile a minute.

Alexithymiaa: -She gave a little shrug, keeping her eyes down on the sketchbook in her lap. "I guess. I don't really know where Felix is or what we're doing anymore so..." // Brad followed the girls out of the house and out onto the patio, stopping next to the hot tub to take another sip of his drink. "Ladies first. Everyone hop in and get comfortable." He said with a grin. // "I said no." Adam snapped quickly at Felix, hauling a couple of the dumbbells off the rack to hold in either hand. He silently started his bicep curls, keeping his back to Felix. He feels shitty.-
Tsaaq: Hayley peeled off her gloves as she walked into the house from the front. With a dreary look she strode to the kitchen. "Oh, people." She greeted solemnly as she went to give Tae a pat them went to take a seat on the sole seam at the kitchen island. "Let me guess? Getting wasted." She asked in a monotone. // Remy staggered towards the gym, figuring he should get some exercise in lest he get a beer belly. But he was just being dramatic. It's only been one week of drinking. He went towards one of the weights and went to lean his hand on the wall, disregarding Adam and Felix a moment cause he had to focus on not fucking falling.
Covet: "You guys should still go on your camp out. Get away from here for the night." Cadence suggested then went to stand up stretching, putting her hand on her stomach// "Okay, then.. Sorry I asked." Felix said then turned around when he saw Drunk Remy stumbling over. " Hey Rem... Uh, you need help? Maybe working out right now isn't a good idea for you" // "Ignore him, Tae." Kelsey said as she climbed into the hot tub and sat in a corner getting comfortable. // "Oh shit, Hey Hayley, "Yeah, about to hop into the hot tub. You want a drink? Kelsey made these bomb potent cocktails." Tae told Hayley with a smile, even though they weren't even really cocktails
Alexithymiaa: "I guess, yeah..." SHe said with a nod, lifting her head to follow Cadence when she stood up. "Sorry if you were expecting a pick me up." // Brad settled into the hot tub after them, taking another sip of his drink and setitng it down on the side next to the hot tub. "Oh this is nice. Isnt this nice?" He asked them before looking at Hayley when she approached. "Hey." // Adam kept to himself as he did his curls, glancing over his shoulder to look at sloppy Remy coming in for the work out, pressing his lips together.-
Tsaaq: "I'm not really dressed to get into a hot tub." She said. "Uhhh..." She trailed off and darted her eyes a moment. "I guess." She replied with an unenthused tone and a shrug. // He turned to look at Felix. "Heeey." He greeted, giving a thumbs up. "Uh, no. I disagree. I'm actually a lot more sober than I look." He answered, forcing himself to stand up straight. Believe nothing. He's an actor. "See? Everything's fine." He stated way too loudly, finally picking up a dumbbell and doing a few slow bicep curls.
Covet: Cadence gave a shrug, "I didn't have any real expectations. Was just looking for a distraction. I might head back up to the house." She said soflty biting the inside of her cheek. // Felix watched Adam for a moment but he was clearly more foucused on Remy now. "Yeah.. that's kind of the vibe I'm getting from everyone lately." Felix said in a slight mumble. // Kelsey put her feet on Brad's lap as she kept sipping from her drink, "The stuff is on the counter if you think you can handle it Tae?" // Bouncing a little bit, Tae looked at Hayley, and handed her, the drink she had, "Here, you can sip on this, give me just a second and I'll have one ready for you." She said then ran off into the kitchen, attempting to wing Kelsey's drink.
Alexithymiaa: -She twisted her body to look back up at the house, pausing for a long moment. "I guess I should too. Sitting here by myself isn't exactly ideal." Picking up her book from her lap, she pushed up to her feet, tucking the book under her arm. "I might just... try to sleep or something since I havent done very much of that." // Brad looked over to watch Tae run away, checking out her ass before looking back at Kelsey. He hides nothing. "They're really pretty good drinks if you can handle the alcohol content. Not usually my drink of choice, but still good." // Adam finished off his bicep curls and set the dumbbells down back on the rack, turning to face Felix and Remy. "What did you drink?" He asked Remy in an even tone.-
Tsaaq: Hayley blinked a few times before lowering her head. She merely gave another shrug. "I'll go with you Tae." She said quietly, following the other female but not moving quite as fast. She watched as Tae bounced around with a pretty vacant expression. // Remy put to weight down in an aggravated manner. "The hell is that supposed to mean?" He asked with a slight tilt of his head. He put his hands on his hips as Adam approached and narrowed his eyes. "Why are you asking Sasha?" Remy's voice raised.
Covet: "Yeah, sleep could be nice. I'd go lounge in the pool, but.. not all that ideal now." Cadence said, "And the ocean's too far from the house." She said with a frown, then started walking slowly up to the house, trying to keep her eyes off of the pool as they walked past it.// "Dude, nobody brought up your dad"Felix said raising an eyebrow, "And I mean, that everyone despite not wanting to, is looking riduciously suspicious by looking so down."// Kelsey saw where Brad was looking then gave him a nudge with her foot, "I'm pretty sure she's got a boyfriend, I saw her with a necklace that had a ring on it the other day when we were playing with the super soakers." Kelsey told him quietly. // Tae noticed Hayely's demeanor and frowned, she was talking pretty quickly as she just started pouring liquids together. "Okay, so what's up with everyone? Was there like a big fight that I missed or something? Because you are all strangely mopey and it's kind of morbid. What happened?" She asked.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah..." Steph trailed off, following Cadence as she walked. "I'm going to vote a hard no on the pool tonight." Shifting her book in her arms, she hugged it against her stomach, watching her feet as she walked up to the back doors of the house. "Part of me just wants to go up to my room..." She mumbled to Cadence as she walked inside with the intention to head upstairs, stopping on the landing to look at all the guys in the gym because they were being weird. // "So? Boyfriends mean I can't look? Or they can't be involved?" He asked with a quick laugh, flicking his damp hair out of his eyes. "Besides, you have a boyfriend and look at us. Happy as clams to get a good hook up going." // Adam furrowed his brows as he stared at Remy. "What?" Because Remy was being weird. He shot a glance at Felix, speaking a little harshly. "Well not everyone can just write off the events of this week so easily. Maybe we look suspicious because we feel awful about what happened." His eyes jumped up to see Cadence and Steph approaching, quickly shutting his mouth because the womens.-
Tsaaq: Hayley crossed her arms over her chest. "Nobody got into a fight." Hayley answered. "Surprisingly." She pursed her lips as she went to shrug. "Uh." Hayley paused to think. "I don't know. Spring break is just stupid I guess." She finally replied. "A week away to party? It's a joke. Everybody's gonna die eventually. Just corpses waiting to rot." She murmured as she lowered her head. "What's the point?" // He rolled his eyes with a huff. "I said my dad's name because he's asking me shit like he's my dad or something, Felix." He explained. "And I'm not down. I'm fine. I didn't bury a guy in the sand, like Moses." Remy paused lifted his index finger. "He got caught by the way, because sand is a horrible place to bury people, I have nothing to do with whatever you gusy did. I went back to the house with my sister and wife if you'll recall. Happy Passover." He threw his hands up in the air a moment and went to pick up the dumbbell once more.

Covet: Cadence gave her a soft frown and just kept walking with her, stopping on the landing as well to watch the guys for a second, Then she continued up the stairs once Felix started to walk over.// "Right, and I was there too, but thanks for that vote of confidence man." Felix said with a shake of his head, "Happy passover to you too." Turning his head he saw Steph and Cadence on the landing, "Hey there you are, I got the camp out gear on the porch ready to go when you are." He said as he walked over to her.//"Yeah but not everyone is like us. I dont know if her boyfriend is cool with it or not. So I wouldn't want anyone getting in trouble." Kelsey told him.// "Wow, that seems pretty dark Hayley... Shouldn't that mean that we should be living it up and partying all the more?" Tae asked, "I mean if what's the point.. of everyone coming here just to mope about? Don't we all do that enough in Portland?"
Alexithymiaa: -She stood on the landing as she listened to Remy's words, the look of worry only growing on her face. Opening her mouth to speak when Felix came over to her, she glanced up the stairs to see Cadence ascending before nodding her head. "Yeah... whenever you want to set everything up..." // Brad rolled his eyes because the idea of a monogamous relationship was so asinine to him. "That's why you talk about it first, obviously." He said with a bit of attitude, reaching for his drink to take a long sip. "Besides, it's better when all parties are involved anyway." // Adam kept his mouth shut as he listened to Remy because he didnt disagree, hanging his head a bit when everyone turned away from him. Without another word, he turned and walked out of the gym, heading over into the kitchen to grab himself a bottle of water before spotting Hayley and Tae. "Hi."-
Tsaaq: "Yeah well, I know a lot about darkness." She countered as she pressed her lips together as she frowned. Hayley raised an eyebrow at Tae's response and blinked her eyes slowly again. "Are you done with my drink or what?" She asked with a raise of her brow. Holding out her hand leaned forward a bit. She turned when Adam came in the room and lowered her head. "Hey." She muttered. // Remy turned and saw Cadence from the corner of his eye. He sighed as he fumbled with the weight and put it back on the rack. "Scuse me you guys..." He trailed off as he went to catch up with Cadence. "I haven't seen you move that fast in weeks." He tried to say jokingly.
Covet: "Cadence jumped a little when she heard Remy, then tried to laugh a little but swallowed hard, "Yeah, I guess, I just have extra energy or something." She said quickly totally covering up the fact that she was only more or less running from her thoughts right now. She kept walking to their bedroom door and pushed it open to walk in.// "Later dude..." He said to Remy then looked at Steph, "I'm ready to go set up now. I scoped out a spot yesterday." He told her then walked up the landing offering his hand to her. "c'mon."// "Well of course they talk, Bradley." She said with a sigh then shook her head, "Nevermind. I'd ask you to behave but it's pretty pointless." She said finishing off the rest of her drink. // "All the more reason to be more up beat then. Oh.. yeah here." Tae said sliding the drink over for Hayley then waved at Adam all energetic like, "Hi there."
Alexithymiaa: -She glanced down at his hand, slowly sliding her fingers into his before starting to speak. "It's not close to..." She started to shake her head, cutting off her own words. "Never mind. I don't want to know. Let's just go." She stepped down off the landing, clutching onto his hand tightly. // "You know what I mean when I say talk." Beginning to laugh, he finished off his drink and sank down a bit farther into the hot water, letting it come up just onto his chin. "What are you talking about? I behave all the time. I'm like the best behaved person here." Except that you suggested burying the body. // "I'm just going to..." Adam started awkwardly, slipping by the girls to get into the fridge so he could grab a water before turning back to them. "What are y'all doing?" He tried to ask innocently, taking a swig of his water before coughing and choking on it a bit because Adam only has awkward and more awkward levels of social interaction.-
Tsaaq: She stared blankly at Tae as she wordlessly took the drink. She took a sip and made a face and then decided to just hold it in her hand to only create the illusion that she was going to drink it. "Nothing." She answered instantly as she stared into her cup. // "What did I do now...?" He asked as he started to breathe hard once they both reached the top of the stairs. He slowly followed her into the room.
Covet: Hearing he question she turned around to look at him, "Now? You say that like I constantly accuse you of shit or something." She started then shook her head, "I don't know what you did. But whatever it was, I feel like I'm picking up some serious, second thought vibes or something." She said sitting down on the bed, looking at him.// "No I made Brad take it down the other end of the beach." Felix said quietly as he walked up to his stuff where he'd left it, then started loading up his arms and back with everything." // "Okay Hun." Is all Kelsey could tell him as she let herself relax into the water as well. She wasn't going to argue with him at this point, "Just so you're aware. I'm stealing your beanie when we get home, I could smell it when I woke up this morning." // "We are drinking and getting our good vibes going, of course." Tae sad to him, "Want me to make you one too?" She asked, overly confident in her own drink making skills.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't want to know where it is." She said again, reaching down to pick up a few things to help in the carrying of items. "I just want to try to relax..." She spoke in a small voice, stepping down off the porch and beginning to head through the pool area. // "What?" Brad stammered, gasping a little obnoxiously. "You'll leave my beanie out of whatever vendetta you have against it. It's perfectly fine just the way it is." He pouted a little, looking into his empty cup. // "Oh..." Adam said when he finally stopped choking on water, shaking his head. "No thank you. I don't drink." He pushed off the fridge and walked around to the other side of the island, glancing out the patio doors outside and staring off into space, lost in thought.-
Tsaaq: Hayley sputtered her lips as quietly as she could. Her eyes followed Adam then she glanced to the floor awkwardly. // Remy furrowed his eyebrows at Cadence, looking taken aback. "What?" He asked as he watched her sit. "I'm not having second thoughts, about what? We're married. You're literally pregnant? What type of guy do you think I am?" Remy yelled.
Covet: "I'm not assuming you're any type of guy, Remy!" She yelled back, because he was yelling, "It just feels like, for the last week,since we got here, you want nothing to do with Baby B. You used to say Hi to us both, and now it's like when you look at my stomach, if you look at it, I see nothing but fear or something. When I told you I might have felt Baby B move, you weren't excited, or happy, or anything positive. And it kind of has me worried, because if you're not sure.. I'm not sure.. and who the hell are we to bring a child into a world where people randonly end up dead in a harmless swimming pool." She said trying to keep herself from hyperventilating. // "Okay. I grabbed your book from upstairs, I can read to you if that will help you relax." He told her in a statement, not a question, as they took off for the beach.// "It's not a personal vendetta, if it was a personal vendetta I'd light a bonfire for it. But You'll be fine for a couple of hours, but between the sweat and pool water..." she hesitated for a second, " Yeah. It's getting washed. I don't care if you wear a paper bag around your head while I do it."// "Hmm, if it's alright with you, I'm going to go upstairs. I think you and Adam could use some time together, and I don't want my happy mood burning out the two of yours." She said then made her way upstairs so that she could bounce around her room like a jack rabbit all night.
Alexithymiaa: "Okay..." She spoke in a small voice, walking with him out onto the beach for campings. // Brad let out a very loud groan, reaching his hands up to hold onto his beanie before sinking down under the water to blow bubbles and be a dramatic asshole for a while over washing his stupid smelly beanie. // Adam snapped out of his transe and looked at Tae, giving an awkward shrug of his shoulders. "I actually need to shower..." Stepping through the kitchen without another word, he walked into the living room and headed for the stairs, hearing the sounds of Cadence and Remy's argument, but making a beeline for the bathroom to try not to eavesdrop while showering.-
