personality ┇mindy is what you call a wild card. most of the time, she doesn't really know what she's doing, she just goes with the flow and does whatever she feels like. reckless, yes; but her spontaneity has proven beneficial to the group on multiple occasions. she's unpredictable, but she has street smart and tact, so when the situation calls for immediate response, mindy knows what to do. she's good at thinking on her toes, improvisation, stalling, and getting out of trouble. she reads people easily, though pretty much no one can read her.  it bothers others sometimes that she doesn't really consult anyone before making decisions, but so far so good; most of her decisions have turned out for the better. mindy tries to live her life along the lines of the poop philosphy; grit your teeth, get the job done, and then just flow wherever the flush takes you. many admire her constant ability to stay calm, so they come to her for advice, but she usually just spreads her poop philosophy wisdom instead of giving them actual solutions to their problems. that doesn't stop them from coming though; mindy has a soothing talking voice, so just listening to her, they feel comforted. mindy is generally an optimist, but when she's not in the right mood, she can be aggressive. sometimes, mindy says some really weird out of context stuff (example: *whilst in the middle of dance rehearsal* "i wonder how many humans can fit inside a whale..."), but it all makes sense in the intricate web that is her mind.

background ┇mindy lived in jeju, where nothing much ever happens (i'm not making assumptions about jeju ok a real person that lives there said its boring), and growing up, she was always bored of the peace and quiet. so, she sometimes stirred up trouble in school; she pulled pranks on pretentious teachers and taught a few bullies some lessons. the one time she went on a school trip to seoul at age 8, she knew she wanted to live in a city, surrounded by livelihood and endless stories. when she was 16 (international), she begged her parents to move to seoul and live with her (much older) cousins who go to school there. it took a lot of convincing, but her parents didn't want to hinder mindy's dreams in music, so they eventually agreed, and mindy left jeju. she auditioned at multiple agencies, having fostered an interest in becoming an idol for a long time. she was accepted into cube, which trained her vocals very well, but she didn't really feel comfortable there, so she left after about a year. then, she ended up in pledis.
