  1. >You're Applejack, Canterlot High's Sweet Southern Belle.
  2. >It's a different story out on the asphalt, though.
  3. >You drive a '69 R/T in Burnt Orange, a Dixie flag on the top, a big 01 on the side.
  4. >It's name was the General Lee.
  5. >You usually drove, but tonight, Applebloom was coming too.
  6. >The General was pretty fast, I mean, it beat Rainbow Dash and that damn Camaro of hers, that's for sure
  7. >"Applejack?"
  8. >While you were dazed off in a daydream, Applebloom was trying to talk to you
  9. "What's wrong?"
  10. >"Well, I was jus' wondering if I could get another bow and arrow."
  11. "What happened to the one I gave you?"
  12. >"I broke it..."
  13. >That bow was a stick one, with a piece of twine as a string
  14. >The damn thing was invincible
  15. "How'd ya break it?"
  16. >She looked really upset and broken up about it
  17. >No pun intended
  18. >"Well...y'see...It just snapped when I tried shootin' a rock with it..."
  19. "Why in the high holy Sam hill would y'all shoot a rock with a bow and arrow?"
  20. >"I know that, Sis, it's jus'...Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle talked me into it..."
  21. "It's alright. Jus' go upstairs."
  22. >Then you got a text
  23. >Rainbow Dash telling about how she got stopped, and the police activity is high
  24. >Perfect
  25. "Applebloom!"
  26. >"Yeah sis?"
  27. "You're gettin' a new bow. Get your jacket."
  28. >She fumbled through a green highboy closet and nabbed a red coat
  29. >You slid into the door of the General, because the doors were welded shut
  30. >Applebloom finally came, the giant bow in her hair bouncing up and down as she pranced down the dirt driveway
  31. >You put the car into neutral, which makes it slide back, then quickly go into 1st to drift around
  32. >Bass Pro Shop, for Applebloom's bow, because you had a plan
  33. >You slam the hammer to the floor, spinning the wheels in the dirt, then heading down the road.
  34. >Applebloom presumably wasn't used to your "aggressive" driving
  35. >The tires squeal loudly as you parallel park into a space in the parking lot of the store
  36. "C'mon."
  37. >You nod your head to the door
  38. >She slinks out, struggling to get her legs through, until she pushes on the roof
  39. >Inside is the essence of life
  40. >Applebloom spots a bow
  41. >It's not too fancy, and thank god it's not expensive either
  42. >You buy it, shelling out a decent amount of money
  43. >As you look to the front, Applebloom looks to you
  44. >She's smiling
  45. >You hand her the bag on the way out
  46. >She jumps up and down, as you roll your eyes
  47. >Then back to the General
  48. >"So sis, why are we goin' out tonight?"
  49. "A little fun. You wanna ride along?"
  50. >She looks inside the bag
  51. >"Well, yeah, sis."
  52. "Great, let's start."
  53. >You take the old '69 down the highway, trying to antagonize the police
  54. >Then out it comes
  55. >County Mountie
  56. >"What's that, sis?"
  57. "It's your first roundup."
  58. >"What?"
  59. "Jeez, just get your bow out..."
  60. >You're annoyed at this point
  61. >She reaches into the bag, draws out a bow and arrow
  62. "Now here's what I want you to do. Take that there arrow, and shoot the tire of his car."
  63. >"But that's bad!"
  64. "That's the point!"
  65. >You veer away from the guardrail
  66. >She flops into the door
  67. >Applebloom regains her bearings and aims out the window
  68. >The arrow flies with a thwing of the string
  69. >It nails it right in the center of the hubcap
  70. "Tires, Applebloom, I said tires."
  71. >"But sis, it ain't that easy shootin' up here!"
  72. "Just try!"
  73. >She grabs another arrow
  74. >It lands on the second O in Goodyear
  75. >The tire goes flat
  76. >Cop is forced to pull over
  77. >"Sis! I did it!"
  78. "Yeah. Yeah you did."
  79. >She sits back down, excited
  80. "C'mere."
  81. >She hugs your midsection, trying to avoid your arm that's on the shifter
  82. >"This is real fun, sis."
  83. "Heh, yeah. It kinda is."
  84. >You plant the police scanner in the console
  85. >"What's that?"
  86. "It's a little radio-type thing that the police talk through."
  87. >"Oh."
  88. >Suddenly it goes nuts
  89. >"Uh, yeah, I was in pursuit of an Orange Dodge, lost it."
  90. >"Copy, I'll pick up the slack."
  91. "Uh oh."
  92. >Applebloom's expression changes from wonder to worry
  93. >"What?"
  94. "They're comin' for us."
  95. >Fuck
  96. >Suddenly 3 more police cruisers come up behind you
  97. >"Do you want me to shoot 'em, sis?"
  98. "There's jus' too many, Applebloom."
  99. >You then do what the General does best
  100. >Taking the wheel 90 degrees to the right, the General Lee responds by screeching the back tires to the dirt trail ahead
  101. >"Where we goin', Sis?"
  102. "Well, it depends on if we lose these fellers or not..."
  103. >You stretch to see the rearview mirror
  104. >The law is at your heels
  105. >Then you remember this trail
  106. >In a period of 2 minutes, you go from driving straight to airborne over a pond
  107. >The Crown Victorias that trailed you fell right in
  108. >In tradition, you play the Dixie horn that was installed in the car
  109. >You smiled wide, Applebloom looked terrified
  110. >"Sis!"
  111. >You give her a half-headed look
  112. "What?"
  113. >"You're crazy, sis."
  114. "Whatever you say, Applebloom. Whatever you say..."
  115. >The General Lee speeds off into the afternoon
  116. >Eventually, you stop back at Sweet Apple Acres
  117. >"That was real fun, sis!"
  118. >Suddenly Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle mob her, asking her where she was
  119. >You pull the General back about 12 feet, then test the headlight doors
  120. >Out, in and over.
  121. >You look over your shoulder to see Applebloom chatting about her archery session
  122. >A smile brightens up your face
  123. >You catch faint wind of them saying that they want to come
  124. >That's a bit difficult
  125. >Then the three little girls parade up behind you as your body turns to the headlamp door with "Charger R/T" written in script embroidered on it
  126. >"Sis?"
  127. "Yeah, Applebloom?"
  128. >You don't turn around for a second
  129. >"We was kinda thinkin'...That we could ride in the car too...?"
  130. >She's real sheepish about it, like Fluttershy
  131. >Then you turn around and place a hand on your left hip
  132. "We'll see about it. I gotta fix some stuff first."
  133. >"Okay!"
  134. >Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle all run to that treehouse by the farmhouse
  135. >This'll be something, alright
  136. >Looking ahead, you see the backseat of the General
  137. >It's a tight fit, but they're small girls
  138. >There was a bunch of, certain things, you had to move, along with just a bunch of general bullshit that was back there
  139. >Before you grabbed the hose, you realize this car goes off-road more often than not
  140. >The hell with it
  141. >Wash the damn thing down
  142. >Bright Orange sparkles nice, it'll last about an hour
  143. >Then Rainbow Dash drifts her Pontiac into your driveway
  144. >Scootaloo looks elated
  145. >"Hey AJ, I heard about yesterday."
  146. "Did ya?"
  147. >"Yeah. You and your sister."
  148. "Ain't she somethin'?"
  149. >"All I gotta admit is she's a damn fine shot."
  150. >Applebloom beams with pride
  151. >"But I'm good too!"
  152. >Scootaloo noses her way in front of Rainbow Dash
  153. >"See, watch!"
  154. >She snatches Applebloom's bow and 1 arrow and attempts to fire it
  155. >It penetrates the windmill on the top of the barn, right in front was where she stood
  156. >Rainbow Dash starts laughing
  157. >You plant a hand on your face
  158. >"Wasn't that good, Rainbow Dash?!"
  159. >"Priceless."
  160. >Now you gotta fix it, eventually
  161. >For now it's just gotta be that way
  162. >Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo both slid behind your seat, as you sat in the passenger and put the seat forward
  163. >"Why do we have to get in that way?"
  164. "The doors are welded shut."
  165. >"What's does that mean?"
  166. >Ugh
  167. "They burned the metal, m'kay, to make it stick together."
  168. >"Ooooooohhh!"
  169. >You fire up the ol' engine and take the car out
  170. >Then you slightly cringe at the fact that you just cleaned the car
  171. >Eh, whatever
  172. >All of them giggle as the car goes into an accidental 360, kicking up dirt everywhere
  173. >Then you went to the open road
  174. >Highway Patrol
  175. >"Yeah 10903, I've got a hit on that Dodge from the other day. In slow pursuit."
  176. >You gulp deep, then check your rear end
  177. >There's a Crown Vic, confirming your suspicions
  178. >Let it fly, AJ
  179. >Slam the pedal, cop engages all the sirens and shit
  180. >They all look around like they don't have a damn clue
  181. >Time to up the ante a little bit
  182. >Slide left onto Old Rockwood Trail
  183. >Surprisingly, the cop doesn't burn out, he actually nailed the turn and is still in hot pursuit
  184. >Take a little shortcut after turning left back in the woods
  185. >You reach a part of a broken dumpster
  186. >The front end of the car buckles as it hits the apex of the makeshift ramp that led back to the highway route
  187. >Another blare of the Dixie horn
  188. >You stare into the rearview mirror to watch the cop do a barrel roll, and slide/scrape into the concrete wall
  189. >Can't help but laugh
  190. >"Uh, yeah. I've lost the suspect."
  191. >"Copy. Another officer is responding. Over and out."
  192. >Sweetie Belle fell asleep
  193. >Sometime during the duration of the jump, Applebloom was smiling wide, Sweetie Belle squeaked, and Scootaloo thought she was flying
  194. >"That was great, sis!"
  195. >"Yeah! Do it again!"
  196. "Well, I just gotta find another place, and some friends-..."
  197. >You're cut off by the sirens and lights of 4 cruisers
  198. "Speak of the devil."
  199. >The police continuously try to box you in, using an upcoming roadblock
  200. >Ain't standing for that shit
  201. >Turn right, leads to a fairly large clearing
  202. >3 officers on your trail this time.
  203. >In your sights now is another pond, but slightly larger and wider than the previous one
  204. >Over the pond it is
  205. >With another bleat of Dixie, the girls are all cheering, causing you to crack a small smile
  206. >The rest of the drive is pretty lax, given the fact that all the police vehicles are in disrepair at this point
  207. >You pull back into the driveway
  208. "How was that?"
  209. >They all chirp at the same time that it was great
  210. "Well, I've got to turn y'all loose now."
  211. >They groan at that, then slink back to the treehouse
  212. >You pay attention back to the Charger, whose brush guard got dented
  213. >An engine is heard, and drifting in dirt, then it stops
  214. >It's Twilight, and a 1971 GTX
  215. >"Hey Applejack."
  216. "Hm? Oh, howdy."
  217. >"I caught wind of a plan from Rainbow Dash that all of us were going to all go out on a rally race, and the police might find us in the process."
  218. >Sounds interesting
  219. "Well, I sure would like to."
  220. >"Great. Just be at the Turnpike at 7 PM tonight."
  221. "See ya there."
  222. >She starts up the 426 Hemi under the hood of her Purple Plymouth
  223. >That specific shade sparkled under the sunset
  224. >Guess she picked it to adhere her name
  225. >You grab a hammer and a screwdriver from a toolbox in the barn
  226. >The process you end up doing is unscrewing the brushguard from the front end, then hammering it into place and repainting it.
  227. >Inside the dents laid tiny piles of grass and dirt, with an occasional leaf or two
  228. >After an hour or so, the brushguard is back onto the car.
  229. >Here goes nothing.
  230. >You fire up the 440 Six-Pack and head on down the runway you use as a driveway
  231. >The General thunders down the late highway
  232. >Your friends sat in the brush, with their cars
  233. >Twilight, a '71 Plymouth GTX.
  234. >Rarity, a '70 Mercury Cougar XR-7.
  235. >Rainbow Dash, a '78 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am "Skybird".
  236. >Fluttershy, a '70 Chevrolet Nova SS.
  237. >And Pinkie Pie, a '70 Plymouth Road Runner.
  238. >Every one of them looked ready to go, including you.
  239. >"Well lookie here."
  240. >Dash was especially cocky today
  241. "What?"
  242. >"Nothin', just glad you showed up."
  243. "Yeah. Alright."
  244. >"Mmm. So are we going to get started here?"
  245. >'How should we start, Rainbow?'
  246. >"Well, just a normal rally race. It'll lead onto the highway, then the cops'll probably end up after us. Who's got the most heat?"
  247. >You raise your hand, then lower it to adjust your hat, then back up
  248. >"Oh, really?"
  249. "I reckon."
  250. >"I'll take your word for it. I've been watching the police scanners."
  251. >Hohoho
  252. >"Let's go, girls."
  253. >You slide into your car, everyone else uses doors
  254. >3, 2, 1, Launch
  255. >The General Lee takes the lead, Rainbow Dash and her Trans-Am in trail, followed by Twilight's GTX, Fluttershy's Nova, and Rarity's Cougar.
  256. >After all, this was almost like a race car
  257. >Then a wrench is thrown into your plans
  258. >There's a overturned 18-wheeler
  259. >Some of the concrete fell off and broke
  260. >It looks like a ramp
