Calm before the storm

Alexithymiaa: -Brad was sitting on his bed in his dorm, still grumpy from the exchange last night and his overall sour mood. He'd been playing with his camera in his lap, adjusting the different settings and taking quick shots across the room before accessing the playback and flipping through the settings again.-
CovetCovet : Kelsey came into Brad's room, half hoping that Evan was around because after spilling her stash the other day she was on a pretty limited supply that was nearly out. She saw Brad on the bed, then looked at him, "Oh... No Evan... Okay then... Uh... What are you up to?" She asked him, curious as to what he was doing with his camera.
Alexithymiaa: -He glanced up when she walked in, raising his brows when she looked around for Evan. "No, he was doing something with his little brother tonight. Why do you need him?" He asked, looking back down at his camera as he pressed a few buttons. "Just trying to figure something out with the filters I bought."-
Covet: "Oh no reason, I can just text him tomorrow." She said quickly with a shrug, her eyes darting to the drug drawer. "Oh, that's cool.... Connor's in bed... He seems.. a little off..." She said as she looked over at him. "I'm starting to wonder if it's the attitudes lately."
Alexithymiaa: "What attitudes?" He asked WITH A FUCKING ATTITUDE, instantly taking a little offense.-
Covet: "THAT attitude." Kelsey said, shaking her head. "I have a headache, I really don't want to get into it again tonight. Even if you do deserve it."
Alexithymiaa: "Deserve what? What have I done that was so bad?" He asked sharply, sitting up a little further so he could set his camera down next to him. "Look out for your best interest? Not want to be taken advantage of?"-
Covet: "Inserting yourself into things that you have no right to do, regardless of your reasons for doing so. Did I ever once say I felt like I was being taken advantage of? No... Steph hasn't asked anything from me in ages... So I'm sorry that you find her to be such an inconvenience, but I don't." Kelsey told him. "It was rude and completely out of line of you, and everything you said yesterday just made you sound like some pretentious Hollywood jackass."
Alexithymiaa: (THE SECRET SLIME ACTION)
Alexithymiaa: "I was looking out for you! Just because you didnt like the outcome or the way it was done doesnt mean it was done with bad intentions. All she does is take advantage of me and it started innocently and got worse so I just didnt want that to happen to you. I don't give a shit what they think of me."-
Covet: "No... because if you were looking out for me, you wouldn't have mentioned the money aspect of this!" Kelsey said loudly. "Because let's be honest that's what it all comes down to. If Steph was able to pay the money that Nicki or The Weeknd could... you and I both know you wouldn't be bitching right now. That is the only reason why you think she's taking advantage of you, and that's the only reason you 'care' is because you want to make sure I'm getting my literal two cents."
Alexithymiaa: "So?" He asked, his brows furrowed. "If she's going to make money off YOUR song, you should get some of that. It makes it fair. The fact that you're just going to sign the rights to produce the song over to them without any stipulations is opening a door for them to do whatever they want without your permission."-
Covet: "So?" She scoffed at him. " Exactly.. It's MY SONG.. which means I get to do with it what I want. And guess what, I have faith enough in my own music and talent that I think I can do that for at least one song. Not to mention... I trust my cousin enough not to be that kind of asshole, because she's never been that kind of asshole. What astonishes me is the fact that you don't even deny the fact that you wouldn't be bitching if Steph had more money."
Alexithymiaa: "It's not purely about the money!" He retorted, throwing his hands up. "It's about the fact that the band is a bunch of nobodys. Havign the money is like putting all the artists I work with on a certain level of success. The fact that they dont have the money means they're not up to that level of success."-
Covet: "How are they supposed to be anybody if they can't afford someone that's supposed to be a friend? How are they supposed to get to that level of success if people like you are out there to 'keep them in their place'" Kelsey snapped at him. "Would you have treated me like this, If I hadn't already done the work that I had before meeting with you? You also realize that without me... you wouldn't be where you are... would you have made the connections you have without me? So how is that any different then Steph supposednly taking advantage of me?" She was just mad now because all the stupid.
Alexithymiaa: "We were on the same level when we started together. It was different." BRAD STOP THATS THE WRONG ANSWER. "We grew together. The point is to get successful without riding someone else's coat tails and cheating your way to the top. You have to work hard for it, which is what we did and are still doing. This is like a hobby to them."-
Covet: Kelsey just stared at him and blinked, "We were on the same level? I knew you were delusional.. but I didn't think it was this bad..." Kelsey gave a shocked laugh. "You work hard when you want to. I work hard all the damn time. I've been working hard. The only reason why you've picked up the way you have is because of me and the connections I have. Because that's the world you and I live in. It's not about the money, it's not about the work, it's about the connections. You would still be sitting on your ass barely taking enough classes to get by...if I didn't push you, but apparently I went wrong somewhere, because now all this success has gone to your head and suddenly you're too good for your own friends, How long before you too good for me too? Should I not worry about booking you after your Weeknd shoot? I'd hate to be an inconveniece to you because I'm not on their level."
Alexithymiaa: "What are you talking about? I work hard whenever I need to work hard!" He yelled, clearly offended that she thinks he's lazy even though he is. "I've done everything i needed to, to make my career successful and I have. There's nothing wrong with the way I conduct myself." He stood up from the bed, staring at her. "You are on their level so don't say stupid shit like that. I like working with you because we're both professionals and we do what we need to do to get the work done. What happened to it being healthy to cut people out who drag you down?"-
Covet: "Okay, Whatever Bradley." Kelsey said starting to see that nothing she says is going to change his mind. "I don't think I want to work with you, if this is the person you're going to be. This is not the kind of values I have as a person, and I don't want to associate with those that think they're too good for their friends, or too good for those that might not be able to afford what we think our own worth is. That right there is the difference between us... I don't think I'm better than Steph, or anyone in this school... or anyone in the world. I just am.. and if I can do something nice.. or helpful, or kind for someone, that's not charity or an inconvenience, or an annoyance, or someone taking advantage of my good nature... That just is my good nature." She told him then went to turn towards the door because she was disgusted with him right now and she needed a distraction, and her head was hurting.
Alexithymiaa: "You don't want to associate with me?" He asked, starting after her through his room. "I dont THINK what I'm worth, people tell me. People pay me. They set the standard, not me. That's not my fault. And what about Connor? Have I done nothing, but bend over backwards for you and him? Been there for both of you whenever you needed anything? I'm not a bad natured person, I'm just trying to be business savvy."-
Covet: "People pay you the prices that you set." Kelsey said turning back around. "You do set that standard, Because if that wasn't the case it wouldn't matter what Steph could pay you, you'd do the same thing for her that you would do for someone of a higher profile." She threw her hands up and kept walking downt he hall to the bathroom. "Yeah... you're great in those areas and I'm thankful for that. But I'm talking about business right now. And that kind of mentality, is not good for my businesss. So don't take it personal, I just don't want to be drug down by that kind of attitude and I really want to keep Connor from that too, so if I disassociate on a professional level, that will mean less of this..." She said turning around to motion to him. " that he will see."
Alexithymiaa: "So basically you're saying I need to choose between my professional life and you." He snorted. No brad, she didnt say that. "That's not fair. I want to have a successful career and look out for myself AND be able to work with you and make cool videos."-
Covet: "No, I'm saying that I'm not having anything to do with you professionally anymore." Kelsey told him. "At least not right now."I'm still here for you on a relationship base, but I dont' want to hear anything about work between us, or work in general." She said to him with a shrug. "I'm compartmentalizing, because otherwise everything is going to be effected by these kind of attitudes."
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not giving you an attitude!" He threw up his hands, raising his voice with clear attitude. He wasnt quiet and was being fairly obnoxious at this point, yelling in the hallway. "Work is a big part of both of our lives so how is that going to work out?"-
Covet: "I don't know, but I'll take it, over this kind of bullshit!" she said yelling back at him,then turned again to walk into the bathroom making her way into a stall, slamming and locking the stall door. Her head was throbbing at this point.
Alexithymiaa: "Stop walking away from me!" He yelled at her back, following her into the bathroom. "I'm not even doing anythign to you, I really don't know why you're so pissed off."-
Covet: "Because I don't like the person you're being!" She said loudly as she slammed the lid down on the toilet and sat down on it. "You are doing something to me... You're trying to direct my life. Just because you're a director... doesn't mean you have any right to inact that on my life, or my business! Especially when it's only YOU that disagrees with it." She reached down into her boot and slid the little bag that barely had anything worth while in it. She knew she wasn't going to get any sleep tonight so she might as well get a boost to power through and maybe get ahead a little. She was doing her best to be descreet about what she was doing, even though Kelsey this is a terrible idea.
Alexithymiaa: "So then I wont give my opinion on things going on with you. Does that make you feel better?" He snapped, repeatedly knocking his knuckles on the stall door. "Come on, are you just going to sit in there and be mad at me?" He asked as he leaned in, trying to look at her through the crack in the door. Imagine if someone walked in?-
Covet: "No! Just.. Go away for now." She said to him, kicking her foot up against the door, then got up to lean against it so that his view would be limited. Her hand was shaking as she held the bag, mostly out of anger as she brough a little bit on her finger and brought it to her noseto inhale, clutching the mostly empty bag in her hand tightly as she did her best to wipe her nose and finger off.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm not going away. What are you doing?" He asked when her back covered the view he'd been able to see through the crack.-
Covet: "I'm trying to ignore you and get a second of peace! Can I have that please?!" She wiped her hand over her nose again, still clutching the bag tightly in the other, not moving as she tipped her head back for a second.
Alexithymiaa: "No." He grumbled, leaning off the stall and crossing his arms over his chest. "I just want to go back to normal."-
Covet: "Yeah, well that's not going to happen, not tonight at least." She told him, turning around to open up the stall door so that she could walk out of it, intentionally pushing past him with her fist closed tightly intending to some how stealthily drop it into the trashcan.
Alexithymiaa: "Well then when? We should go out to dinner or something and we can just have a nice evening, the two of us." He stepped in behind her, walking up her ass.-
Covet: "Yeah, sure.. whatever. Just tell me when and I'll plan accordingly." She said to him trying to wave him off. " Just... take care of work stuff first." Kelsey added, then grumbled, to give him a bit of a shove with her free hand, "Space... seriously."
Alexithymiaa: "I am taking care of work stuff. I can afford a night to eat dinner with you without it. I have plenty of time to get my prepro drafts done." He said, stopping short when she shoved him. "I'm just trying to talk to you."-
Covet: "I don't want to talk to you right now! I'm mad! Talking isn't going to make me feel less mad right now!" She yelled at him, tossing the bag into the trash as stealthily as she could, before walking out the door quickly, and moved into the kitchen.
Alexithymiaa: -This was not going to stop him from following her. "It might if we talk about something other than the reason why you're mad. What if we took a little road trip for a day? We can go tomorrow while Connor is in school"-
Covet: "Where are we going to go?" Kelsey said to him as she got into the fridge. "I have class tomorrow Bradley. I've already been away from classes more than I'd like to be, because of how busy I've been."
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know. We could go...." He paused, realizing this was not at all planned out. "I'll see what's like an hour or two away that would be cool. I'll look it up."-
Covet: "Fine, Just let me know." Kelsey said pulling out a bottle of water, drinking it back as she turned to look at him. "Can I have the rest of the night to myself now?"
Alexithymiaa: "Yes." He said glumly, sliding his hands into his pockets, staring at her.-
Covet: "Thank you." She said shaking her head. "Just so we're clear, I'm not okay with you directing my life. And that's not what this better be." She walked off from him and started down the hallway, when she got to her dorm, she could hear Connor crying inside, and it nearly broke her heart. She opened up the door and went inside to go comfort him because she knew he'd heard them yelling.
