Limbo - recheck.. maybe

Story: (8/10 for setting, 3/10 for the actual story)
you are a boy that ends up in this grey world. an educated guess is that this is limbo.
you start to go forward and on your way explore this world.

that about all the story yo get except for a few points near the end.
it is open for interpretation based on the world itself and i seen a few very cool hypotheses that are based on details i just ignore while playing.

Gameplay: 7/10, high polarization.
its an puzzle game. you move from obstacle to obstacle trying to survive and, more often then not, failing to do so.
yup, even the smallest mistake will cause an gruesome death.
thankfully this isn't something to be afraid of because of the very frequent check points.
all the obstacles pose an different challenge and aren't repetitive, nevertheless (and this is where other reviewers disagree) the general experience does feel like repetition of the same trap-trail-death-trail-death-win cycle.

Graphics: 8/10.
the black and white graphics is not something you see in most games, and although you might think it is outdated at first, you'll soon understand how well it blends with the game.

Sound: 2/10.
normally i don't have an sound category in my reviews but this time i felt the need to mention this.
there is absolutely no music in the game. most of the game you'll spend in silence with only the sound of your footsteps and the sound of the next trap.
from my description you might think it adds to the atmosphere and you'll be partially right, but i do believe this takes away more then it gives.

replayability 0.5/3
minimal. after you'll finish it, the only thing left to do is replay old levels and hunt "secret eggs".
those secret eggs are just some round items you can step on when you find them to get steam achievements and nothing more.
those mostly well hidden and sometimes require ridiculous time investment to get.
not recommended.

final score: 6.5/10. high polarization.
good atmosphere, not so good repetitive general fell.
