Act Report

Greetings, brother. So, I heard you have requested access to the information pertaining to the Protectorate Legion. Well, here it is. But first, let me introduce myself. My Human name is [DATA EXPUNGED], Tier-4 Sergeant-Commissar of the Enochian Guards Regiment. My armor designation is Cloudfire, so you can call me that. Anyway, a Protectorate is what you call a warrior 'conscripted' by the Archangel Michael in service to serve in a collective of Regiment posted across the Multiverse. They call these collective as the 'Legion' or the Protectorate Legion.

A Protectorate can be distinguished from another Human simply by their glowing eyes and the armor they wear called, Battle Gears. These Battle Gears are forged from Heaven's empyrean steel (We still don't know what's it called. Despite we fight for the Angels, they don't seems to like revealing that to us but whatever it is, I don't care and neither should you!). It makes the user impervious to all attacks, be it ranged weaponry, melee weaponry, blunt weaponry, explosives and arcane weaponry/curses. It allows the user to utilize their Angelic abilities (throwing fireballs and stuff. It's pretty neat) and transforming into mechanical Angels (the eight feet tall robotic Angels that could fire a huge amount of light capable of decimating an area of Demons. They were indeed walking tanks for that matter) and also, it contains them to a satisfying limitation (because the Protectorates are unstable in many ways due to the forced modifications done to their bodies).

Speaking of modification, Conscripts are first had their DNAs modified by mixing Malakhim genetic code to their own DNA, turning them into Hybrids. Because hybridized DNA is required to operate the Battle Gear, they were modified so that they would have full access to the Battle Gear's features (sending these guys to the front without any Battle Gears is a sure way to turn Earth into an apocalyptic wasteland. Trust me, we tried this before. He may have destroyed ten Demon Legions but the city of [DATA REDACTED] has been leveled to the ground. A cover up story is created to keep the incident in secrecy. And yeah, the Damage Control is still on our arses).

Each Protectorates are divided into Marks. The Mark Is are the oldest, yet, of course due to their modified DNAs, they age slowly (where they only age one year approximately twenty years each). They ranged only a 1000 and only ten of them are enough to conquer an entire country (since Mark I Protectorates are strengthened to become powerful than the Malakh of Dominion Choir). Mark IIs were massed produced, drawing personnel from the Martyr Brigades (they are the souls who have died and were in Heaven, yet still continued to intercede to mankind both in combat against darkness or aiding them in their needs. Not to be confused with the Saints though). Since they were dead already and the Battle Gear requires a living host, they, ummm, how do I put it?

Really suck so bad that a Legion of Unclean Spirits tramples them down.

No really. They ranged in 10,000 and as far as I know, by the end of the Pre-Judgement era, they ranged only around 2,000. They were simply used as canon fodders by the Commanders of the Mark I Protectorates due to how, umm, stupid they were.

Mark IIIs, IVs and Vs are drawn from the Remnant Order (a collective of Human Faction formed in year 2020 or 2030's to combat the Black Poison Society Insurgents or the coalition of Hell and the Human Governments. They were formed when the Church's Ordo Militiae, UnknownSec Hacker Group and the Night Watch Patrol Group united to fight the common enemy) except the only difference is the age bracket required for squireship under the Mark I Legionnaires.

So why were they created in the first place?

The year is 1953, 8 years after the Second World War. The veil that protects Earth against Hell was broken and a large number of Demons has flooded through this veil and onto the world. Demons, Monsters, and Pagan Deities alike under their leader, the Fallen Lightbearer Lucifer has wrecked havoc on Earth. The Forces of Heaven was stretched thinly due to the fact that their numbers are lessened and also they were locked in battle against the vile Archonites for the domination of Sol VI or most commonly known as 'Saturn'. The Archonites (the gray aliens who also serve Lucifer) and their Alien Overlords has thrown many troops into the fray and the Angels were kept busy while the Fallen Lightbearer sent the bulk of his army to Earth. Because of this, God has authorized Michael to enact the infamous Order No. 47 that "requires 1000 Humans for Conscription into the new Legion." This Order was created when many Catholics has prayed for the "O august Queen of Angels..." Prayer due to warning of the Virgin Mary to a Bernardine Nun back in 1863.

The result was immediate and the spike of demonic activities has decreased so great that the Legion was not disbanded for the next decades.
