Prayer:

>The one seeking the blessing kneels and presents the gun.

V. Adjutorium nostrum in nomine Domini.
R. Qui fecit coelum et terram.
V. Dominus vobiscum.
R. Et cum spiritu tuo.

>Priest takes the gun.
>Priest puts Holy Water on the gun.

Oremus.
Bene + dicere digneris, quaesumus, Domine, ignis ensem istum; et hunc famulum tuum, qui eum, te inspirante, suscipere desiderat, pietatis tuae custodia munias, et illaesum custodias. Per Christum Dominum nostrum.
R. Amen.

Translation of the original:

Priest willingly takes the sword handed to him while the owner is genuflecting/kneeling:

P. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
R. Who made heaven and earth.
P. The Lord be with you all.
R. And with your spirit.

Let us pray:
Bless, + O Lord, this sword, and this your servant, who is held in your inspired pity, guard and keep safe.
Through Christ our Lord.
R. Amen

Take the sword,
in the name of The Father+, The Son+ and The Holy Spirit+,
and use it in defense of yourself, the holy Church, against the confusion of the Christians and Christianity;
and as far as human error may occur, do not allow unjust harm.
We ask this in the name of The Father and Holy Spirit who reigns in Heaven forever.

Notes:
As latin lacks a word for gun, and Spanish defaults to “arma de fuego” lit. weapon of fire.
I propose latin “ignis ensem” which literally translates to sword of fire.
Ignis is in the genitive case, ensem in accusative as it is only used as a subject.
Ignis I believe is more fitting as it refers to properly made, elemental, or civilized fire. Compared to incendium (destructive fire) and other words with more intense connotations.
Therefore, I have edited the latin prayer (without the asides) to conform to our situation.
