You frown as Touko looks at you with a bored expression, before you push yourself once again, relying on your Mana Burst in order to cross the distance from Touko immediately, trying once more to hit her with Snake Style but instead getting your strikes blocked. The two of you trade blows like this for a while, with neither of you capable of mounting a good enough offensive on the other to actually land a solid blow. Touko is incapable of landing a blow on your face, while you're incapable of breaking through her guard while avoiding the runes floating around her. Even enhancing your speed with your Mana Burst does little to help you. You might be faster than her, and your skill level should theoretically be greater, but even so, she's managing to stalemate you completely in hand to hand combat. Her greater knowledge of magecraft and her rune magecraft allowing her to compensate for whatever weaknesses she might've had. Of course, there's also the fact that with her now enhanced intelligence and processing power, her ability to learn and grow as she fights you is very clear. Even if she started the fight at the level of a Master, having clearly been trained in self-defense to a fairly great degree, she's actually picking apart your techniques as you try to use them to gain an advantage, incorporating them into her own style, which is a horrible mish-mash of techniques designed to be effective for whatever her situation. As far as the beauty of her Martial Arts style goes, there's none. It's a brutally efficient style that only cares for the results. It's strange, you might know everything that she's going to do thanks to the Eye of Truth, but it's not helping you, because she knows everything that you're going to do, having practically been the woman who raised you and having the processing power to read your body language.
