Dont break the baby

Covet: Cadence was inside with Trick, getting him put in his bouncer. The dogs hovering over him, Petey laying down on the floor by his feet, because old and shit. Once she had him buckled in she let him be while she went about cleaning up the living room a little bit. She had been kind of lazy over the weekend, so it was a little cluttered. Mostly tissues, blankets all over the couch, pillows in disaray. Empty glasses on the coffee table...etc.
Alexithymiaa: -Brad pulled his car into the driveway of Cadence's house, putting it into park and killing the engine. Climbing out, he walked around to the other side to open Kelsey's door for her, taking the pizza box from her so she could climb out.-
Covet: Cadence had just finished cleaning up when she heard Brad's Mustang pull up in the driveway. She walked over to the door to open it up for Titus befor he started barking in the house riling up Trick. The dog ran out and was barking and wagging his tail, because people that weren't his people, and would give attention. // Kelsey was riding shotgun and passed off the pizza to him as she climbed out. "I think this is the first time I've seen their new place, this is really nice." She said as she closed the door. "So what made you come up with this?" She asked him with a yawn. "I realize we had a mostly free night since Holly's helping Connor come up with his halloween video stuff, but this is odd for even you."
Alexithymiaa: "Well Cadence has been a friend for a long time and it felt kind of shitty that we haven't been over here to check in. And the only time I've seen the baby is when we were babysitting. I feel less self centered right now." He said with a grin, because of course he would have a selfish reason for being there. He looked down at Titus as the dog came running over, switching the pizza box to one hand so he could lean down and pet him. "Hey boy."-
Covet: Cadence smiled and gave them a wave as they came in the gate and started up the walk. Titus not jumping up, regardless of the food, because he was well trained dammit. "Hey guys." She said. // Kelsey raised an eyebrow at him as she followed along, "You wouldn't even hold him, and have you been smoking something and not sharing, because I'd never put Your name and less self centered in the same sentence. What are you up to?" She asked then smiled up at Cadence, "Hey there, hope you don't mind us interupting.
Alexithymiaa: (HAHAHAHA KELSEY. Its true, but damnnnnn)
Alexithymiaa: -Brad started up toward Cadnece, leaning in to give her a half hug since he was holding the pizza. "Hey. I got meat lovers, ya' know, everyone's favorite." He said with a grin before continuing into the house so he could go set the pizza down. He turned to look behind him, eyeing Kelsey. "Hey.. shut up."-
Covet: "Perfect." Cadence said with a laugh walking in, "C'mon in. I don't think you guys have seen the house yet, but this is it. I'm still working on unpacking things when I get the chance. Trick coming early kind of threw everything for a spin." She told them then walked into the living room, heading for the kitchen, "I've got beer, soda, juice...?" // Kelsey gave a shrug, and innocent look at Brad, "What?..." Walking in she marvled at the place, "Oh this is so cute. Is this all newly remodeled?" She asked then walked into the living room, spotting the baby instantly. "Hi little Trick. How are you." She said to him leaning down so he could see her better, giving Petey a few pets too. "I'll take a soda." Kelsey called out.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, I can imagine him coming early can throw off your timeline a little bit." He said as he looked over at Kelsey and the baby before following Cadence into the kitchen. "A beer is fine, thanks. So how have you guys been doing?"-
Covet: Pulling out a beer for him and a Soda for Kelsey, she grabbed a water for herself, and took out some plates for the three of them. "We've been pretty good. It's tough sometimes, only being myself. But he's still sleeping a lot, so it's not too terrible. Steph and Felix have been really helpful though. We actually got to see Remy this last weekend. He wanted to come home and finally meet Trick...and bring home some good news." // Kelsey was listening in, "If things ever get overwhelming and Steph's not available, We'd be more than happy to help out too, Right Bradley?" She said as she played with the baby.
Alexithymiaa: -He took the beer from her and took a quick sip, nodding his head along with Kelsey's comment. "Yeah, we're here for you too. Just need to pick up the phone." He paused to take another sip of his beer. "Wait, what good news did Remy bring home?"-
Covet: "I guess he applied to a few different writing jobs and was able to take one up. Which...is great, but... We just bought this place and had a baby, and now he's clear across the country." She said taking a deep breath feeling her eyes start to water up, "But it's fine.. We'll get through it. We're going to talk about it more this weekend. After I take Trick to his check up, we're heading to Jersey for the weekend. Let Grandma,Grandpa and Hayley see him."Cadence told them as she got herself a slice of pizza on a plate and grabbed Kelsey's drink and her own to take over to the couch. // "Awwh, yeah, that's going to be rough, what are you thinking about doing?" Kelsey asked moving to sit down on the smaller couch next to where the baby was at.
Alexithymiaa: "Like... permanent writing jobs?" Brad clarified, serving himself a piece of pizza and Kelsey's to bring back over into the living room, passing off a slice. "Besides, can't you write from anywhere?"-
Covet: "Like, definitely long term writing job. Or could potentially be." Cadence said then nodded, "Yeah, but he's got to work into that. They were impressed with his work so far, and the recomendation letter from his English professor from here, so he stepped in at a higher level, but he still has to be around I guess." She shurgged. "It's some screen play company type of job." She said sitting down. // Kesley took her drink and her pizza and dug in, " That's pretty intense, at the same time, if Remy's work is really good, he could easily get picked up for a network show, or a movie even. So that's pretty big."
Alexithymiaa: "That's crazy. Good for him. I bet he's making good money doing that too." He said as he dug into his pizza, taking a big bite. "How do you feel about it?"-
Covet: "I'm proud and happy for him, this is kind of his dream. I hope he can get the stuff he's already written looked at, even more, and maybe picked up... It's just... I've still got another year here....and I just didn't expect to be starting my family in essentially an estranged home, where Daddy's gone all the time. I don't want Remy to miss out on everything with Trick. So I don't know how we're going to plan for all that." She said looking over at her son, taking a slow bite of her pizza. // "It's okay to feel like that, It's not easy having to do this mostly alone. But on the brightside, you have a pretty good husband and he's doing this just as much for you guys as he is himself." Kelsey told her.
Alexithymiaa: "Exactly." He said ith a nod of his head to Kelsey's comment. "And in the meantime, you have a good support system to help you out until you guys can be full time together."-
Covet: "Yeah, I know. I keep reminding myself of that too. And I tell my son all about his Dad, so hopefully it won't be so bad. We skype all the time. I'm just kind of bitter sweet over the weekend. It was nice to finally be a whole family, even if it was only for a short time." She said with a smile, "I got pictures, and memories, to show Trick as he grows up. Anyways... enough about all that sad sob stuff. How are you guys doing?" // Kelsey smiled, "Thank God for technology." She laughed, "Doing really good. Busy with classes starting up, and the aftermath of winning a VMA, the video release, and the upcoming album release." She said in an exhausted way.
Alexithymiaa: "It's all good things though." Brad chimed in, finishing off his first slice of pizza before getting up to take another slice. "Yeah, I've got a video for Nicki Minaj coming up. And then I'm supposed to be squeezing in a video for Steph's band, and then the Weeknd after that."-
Covet: "Well jeez, you don't have to rub it in." She said with a laugh. "That's really cool. Careers are really starting to take off then?" Cadence asked them as she took another bite. // Kelsey nodded, getting about half of her pizza down now. "Mhhm. Like full speed now. It's kind of cool yet, very exhausting. Totally worth it though."
Alexithymiaa: "It's exciting. Get to do what you enjoy doing, but like... for money." He said with a laugh, taking a sip of his beer. "I feel like some people search their whole lives for what they enjoy. It's cool we have that."-
Covet: "Yeah..." Cadence said biting the inside of her cheek. "That's great that you guys have found that early on. Mean's you'll get to enjoy it a lot longer." She grabbed her water and took a drink. // Kelsey gave a little bit of a tilt of her head, "I don't know, this is nice and I plan on doing it for a while still, but I'm looking forward when I get to slow down a little and really enjoy the family thing. I'm a little jealous that you just get to stay home, with an adorable little baby all to yourself." Kelsey stop it... it's just a baby.
Alexithymiaa: (Me: Sounds like a nightmare.)
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah... the family thing is nice, but like..." He paused, considering his words before sort of just going for it. "...do you ever feel like you could make one wrong move and just break him? He's so little."-
Covet: "What?" Cadence said. "No, I mean, at first I did, but that's cause my first interactions with him were through the wall of an incubator. But I quickly got over that. I got yelled at multiple times by the nurses for letting him fall asleep with me. Hell, I still do it, because I don't know... instinctively it just sort of came. Subconciously my body just reacts, before I even think about it. I tend to watch where I'm going more, when I have him. But so long as their head is supported, you get used to it pretty quick. Or at least I did." // Kelsey looked at Brad, shaking her head with a sigh, "You couldn't just take my word for it... could you. Hurry with your pizza, you're going to hold Trick...It's really easy."
Alexithymiaa: "Wait, what?" He stammered, instantly holding his pizza up a bit higher to shield it from being taken from her. He took another bite, shaking his head. "It's fine. I don't need to hold him."-
Covet: "Hmm, I don't know. I'm kind of with Kelsey on this. It's probably better that you get over the nerves now, before you have your own." Cadence said, smirking because Brad squirming was always amusing. // "Bradley, it's going to be fine... really. Just set your pizza down for a second. You'll only be holding him for a few moments." Kelsey said as she went about getting Trick unstrapped from the bouncer to lift him out, holiding him to her chest, all bundled up still, patting his back.
Alexithymiaa: "But my hands are greasy." He said, trying to pull out every excuse he could find to avoid holding the baby for the time being. "I'm not done eating. I'll hold him next time."0
Covet: "Wipe them off on your pants like you already have. You're not leaving until you hold Trick." Cadence told him. "Or I can get you a wipe if you really want." She said. // Kelsey looked at Brad, giving him a little pout, "Please, just this one time, and I won't make you do it again unless you want to." She asked him.
Alexithymiaa: -He groaned and set his pizza down, vigorously wiping his hands on the legs of his pants and inspecting them before putting his arms out toward Kelsey. "Fine. Okay. I'm ready. But you guys better watch me and make sure I'm doing this right."-
Covet: "Well duh.. we're not just going to walk out of the room or anything." Cadence said roller her eyes at him, because he was kind of being a baby about holding a baby. "Hold your arms out like this." she told him, holding her arms out in a crossed position, but pulled away from her body. "The side his head goes on will be need to be higher." // Kelsey leaned Trick back, still supporting his head, and moved him over to Brad's arms once he was ready, only letting go after she looked at him, "You have him.. I'm going to let go now."
Alexithymiaa: -Brad mocked Cadence's arm motion, watching as Kelsey passed Trick over to him and he assumed the small weight of the baby. He stared down at his little face and just sat completely motionless, afraid to move or do anything in fear that he would fall out of his arms. "Look. I'm holding him."-
Covet: "Okay now relax a little. You look like a manequin." Cadence laughed. "Just let your arms cradle him, you can rock him a little if you want too." she added. The baby smiled up at Brad, content with people in general right now. Then all of a sudden his face scrunched up and he sneezed right up at Brad's face. // Kelsey couldn't help but laugh a little bit, "Well Bless you, Trick."
Alexithymiaa: -Brad flinched when Trick sneezed on him, making a disgusted fuckking face and looking up between Cadence and Kelsey. "Okay take him. Take him now."-
Covet: Kelsey took him back and then handed him off to Cadence, "Okay, we should probably get out of your hair. Classes tomorrow. Thank you for letting us come bother you." // Cadence held Trick, taking the blanket to wipe over his nose real quick. Then headed to the door to walk them out. "No problem thanksl for stopping by. Drive safe."
Alexithymiaa: -Brad shook his arms out when she took Trick from him, feeling overall relieved that the experience was over. "You enjoy the rest of that pizza." He said as he pointed at her, following Kelsey out of the house.-
