ch - 3 - Bravely move forward - 218 - 234

Several hours have passed in a laboratory of Kubota Kaito, since the exercise program began.

However, the fight between Akatsuki and programed Gouki is not yet over.

Gouki's strength and toughness are superior, while his speed and reaction time is not far off from Akatsuki. Once Akatsuki realized this it was possible for him to design an effective fighting strategy.

The energy bombs approached him from all sides, Gouki countered with his fists.

The pressure from his fists compressed the air around them into bullets to intercept Akatsuki's energy bombs.

The bullets dispersed the energy bombs into huge flashes of light.

"Take this!"

Akatsuki used the light as cover to instantly close the gap between the two, and without hesitation he let loose his right fist.

A shock wave rang out as it hit.

But ......

"--Uhh!"

Akatsuki immediately shook his head.

Gouki's fist pierces the air, "vuun" sounded as the power shot through the air grazes Akatsuki's cheek.

Akatsuki only felt a slight burning sensation on his cheek. After waving his fists around Gouki's stomach was left wide open.

However, Akatsuki had no time to even breathe.

By rotating the power in his arm with back of his neck and shoulder he immediately sprang up to his feet. Narrowly avoiding Gouki's crushing stomp to the top of his head.

He was able to withdraw several steps away from Gouki.

"Damn ...... this is getting no where."

Akatsuki bitterly spat out.

Since the fighting began, his opponent never let up even for a second.

In a fist fight where the opponent's strength surpass his own, any careless mistake can lead to an irreparable end.

Therefore Akatsuki has both physically and mentally accumulated a considerable degree of fatigue.

While the other is a computer created program and not affected in any way.

In addition, Akatsuki hit him many times, and it seems that it didn't cause any real damage to Gouki.

Normally Akatsuki's fist and kicks would have been sufficient to stop an enemy, but ... ...

There was no set battle mode, so he change freely and irregularly.

Coincidentally, Akatsuki fought precisely the same way.

He concentrated on finding out how to effectively strike his opponent, while warding off against the others more destructive attacks.

Incredible consideration was needed every moment to determine a way to avoid the next attack and remain unhurt. In a split second he was continuously subjectively making the best choice. But at the same time, Akatsuki still had to think about the other variables.

Gouki is obviously stronger than himself -- he had to think about how to fight an opponent like that.

Unavoidable attacks are slowly becoming dodgeable.

Indefensible attacks are gradually becoming preventable.

Attacks that couldn't hit are gradually hitting.

Soon after Chikage and Kuzuha returned to their homes.

Miu Ousawa greeted another visitor at the door along with Listy.

It was a teenage girl -- Haruka Nanase, who became a close friend of Miu.

However, when Haruka once again visited the Ouswa home she was looking rather gloomy.

Both of them invited her in, while passing through the living room they heard why she was here.

So ......

"The student council president ...... is looking for me?"

Miu heard the situation from Haruka, puzzled she had unintentionally raised her voice.

Haruka was sandwiched between Miu and Listy on the sofa, making a bitter expression.

"Yes ..... He said he had some things that he wanted to talk to you about. I hope you can go to JPN Babel to meet with him."

"That person is a manager of the world COCOON, right?"

"Did he discover Miu's true identity?"

At the time Akatsuki was poisoned and temporarily unable to fight. When he finally recovered, he rushed over to save Miu and the others. He single handedly defeated Phil in form of a dragon, ending the earth-shattering battle.

However, time in this world doesn't pass when you are in another world.

At least in this world, only about a week has passed since the ranking tournament.

In the middle of the turmoil, JPN Babel learned that Phil Barnett was trying to capture Miu.

During the decisive battle at Gorudono canyon, after Akatsuki sustain severe injuries in the battle with Leon. Miu had to retreat to Forestium for safety, because the patriarch Ulm had placed a conceptual barrier to protect the town. Then Disidiya and Leon sent a letter saying that the Wandering forest would be burnt down, If she didn't agree to leave Forestium and become their hostage. Miu had no choice but to give in and become Disidiya's hostage. Fortunately Akatsuki stuck a transfer seal on her body, and was able to rescue Miu in the nick of time, otherwise the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Akatsuki seems to have some unknown grudge with COCOON

Miu gently embraced Haruka in her arms.
