Game of the Decade - Contest Entry

10 years, 128 games, but only one will be crowned the Game of the Decade.

Between user nominations, review scores, and overall popularity, we've pulled together 128 of the greatest video games of the 2010s, and it's time to let them battle it out. Starting March 26th, the 128-game-winner-take-all tournament will begin.

Your mission is simple: Choose which game will survive each battle. Fill out your best guess at how each battle will turn out, and if you're good enough, you can win a prize. Don't forget: This is not a contest to see which game is your favorite, or even which one is critically the best. It's all a big popularity contest, and visitors who have never visited GameFAQs before will be sure to stop in and vote.

Some important things to remember:

Registered user votes count double. That's specifically for users who register before the first battle of the contest on March 26. While off-site rallies for certain characters can definitely happen, this gives GameFAQs users a slightly bigger say in the outcome.
Correct picks score 1 point in the first round, 2 points in the second, and so on with the final battle being worth 64 points.
Prizes for the winning Official Entries are:
First Place: a $1000 gift certificate
Second Place: a $500 gift certificate
Third Place: a $125 gift certificate
Fourth Place: a $50 gift certificate
Fifth-Tenth Place: a $25 gift certificate
Battles will begin daily at midnight UTC (8PM Eastern, 5PM Pacific).
There will be four battles a day through April 19, two battles through April 27, and then a six day break. During the break, you can enter a Second Chance Bracket Contest for the final sixteen games before the battles start back up, with two battles a day through the quarterfinals, and one per day for the semifinal and final battles.
Remember, it's all a big Internet popularity contest. Outside forces can influence the results, and have done so in the past. We take many steps to prevent vote-stuffing by individuals, but the power of the masses is unstoppable.
