  1. The game will be released in 2023/2022 depending on the progress of development.
  2. It will be called N.Y. Noire because it will take place in New York.
  3.
  4. Year: 1977
  5. Map: 2:1 scale Manhattan, 4:1 scale small section of South Bronx
  6.
  7. New York in 1977 was the most dangerous city in America. The streets were ruled by gangs, muggers, thieves, drugs, pimps, hookers, and the city was ruled by the Mafia. Play as a 70s cop who starts out in the urban warzone of the South Bronx, in a Precinct full of dirty cops as the player decides which route to take. Advance through the story and get promoted and moved to a few selected Manhattan precincts. An honour system similar to RDR2 helps you decide whether to be a good cop or a dirty cop. The dirty cop route means you're on the take and you can afford to buy more cars, clothes, fancy weapons, whilst a clean cop gets paid a weekly wage (but instead every 3 days in game time so you don't have to wait around broke forever) and might have other benefits related to career advancement. Story involves a armed robbery desk, vice desk, homicide desk. Mingle with Prostitutes and Pimps, and the Mafia (Paul Castellano). Homicide desk has mob hits and Vice is focused on Pimps (and some Mafia).
  8.
  9. Since it'll now be Rockstar Games making it, they can give it their Rockstar touch.
  10. *Take elements from RDR2. Core, stamina, etc.
  11. *Eat to keep core and stamina up. Fast food places, bars, supermarket.
  12. *Realistic car handling, depletable gas (gas stations available around the map)
  13. *If you're not in a police vehicle (or personal vehicle), then other cops pull you over for speeding. (just flash your badge to get off the hook, or try to escape [affects honour])
  14. *Personal vehicle acts like RDR2 Horse Saddle where you can keep your items and weapons. Grab your weapons out of your trunk, like LA Noire. You can now buy your own personal vehicle rather than using your partners.
  15. *Honour system, good cop dirty cop. Accept bribes.
  16. *Cases like in LA Noire, but cases involving the Mafia or Pimps have different outcomes depending on your honour level.
  17. *Go to the deuce (42nd street) and hire a prostitute.
  18. *Visit popular landmarks, access famous nightclubs Studio 54 and CBGB's. Player visits World Trade Center to interview a witness.
  19. *Random street crimes, hundreds of possible crimes, more like True Crime NYC. Stick ups, muggings, crazy folk, house calls, assault/battery. Choose to arrest, take a bribe, or even steal from a mugger. (Impacts honour levels)
  20. *1977 New York Blackout makes an appearance and you have to police the riots/looters.
  21.
  22. The mood/original score has some Taxi Driver noir tones, and a soundtrack which sounds happy and dark at the same time.
  23.
  24. Studio 54 has classic New York disco music playing. CBGB has actual punk bands performing.
  25.
