- So today was supposed to be the day I was changing my ISP, an engineer was supposed to come to my house to install the new line and switch me over from the old ISP to the new ISP. They gave me a time-slot and the appointment was booked according to the website and emails they sent me. However, they never came during the time-slot so I assumed they were just running late.
- I called to check up on the appointment after the appointed time was finished, but not only did they say they were running late, apparently in their system they didn't even have my appointment scheduled on their end, even though I literally have emails and text confirmation the appointment was supposed to be today. They apologized and asked if December 11th would be acceptable. I said it was not because my old ISP line was going to be discontinued starting from early December and I needed the new internet and line.
- Here's where things get really screwy, after talking to customer service and trying to get through to any engineer that could help and explain the situation, they then said that there were no new fibre lines they could connect me to, and it was going to be impossible to install the internet with the speeds that I wanted. This was apparently the reason why the engineer cancelled the appointment today, but they didn't call me, text me, or e-mail me to let me know at any point. I had to call them in order to figure out what was happening. They then said it was going to be highly unlikely they were going to be able to give me the internet package I ordered, and so they cancelled my order, despite them entering and accepting a contract with me saying they would be able to provide this specific package.
- The big problem is, I've already cancelled my old ISP, and upon trying to cancel the discontinuation with them, they told me that I'd have to enter a new 12 month+ contract with them, which I really don't want with the current and past issues that are preventing me from streaming, and without that, I won't have internet starting from early December.
- So right now, I'm just trying to figure out what to do about the internet. I honestly don't know when I'm going to be able to sort out this mess and I apologize profusely to everyone. This also seriously messes with the exciting announcement I had planned. Streaming looks like it's going to be really difficult for the near future, but I'm going to try my utmost to come up with a solution to everything.
