  33. [11:36] <@Minase> Yeah... I'm not this desperate. Sorry. I'll head back to the guild and have them send a journeyman here. They'll jump at this. You won't even have to worry about them scaring off their customers. Hell, they might even end up drinking up their pay by the time they're done.
  34. 06[11:36] * @Minase crumples the paper and lets it drop, kicking it off to the side.
  35. 01[11:37] <huh> "Pity. You'd have looked good in the outfit, too."

  37. 06[11:39] * @Minase keeps her cool and walks outside, casting a Sending to the GM to dispatch a newbie to the bar and if he sends Minase a newbie quest again, she'll make public the story about what he did that time after that one big job when they successfully defended a western border village from the orc incursion.

  40. 06[11:40] * @Minase turns around
  41. 01[11:41] <huh> "I'll give ya a drink. For your troubles." He puts a tankard down on the table.

  44. 01[11:42] <huh> As you leave, you bump into a rather thin-looking man wearing a cloak and hood pulled low over his face.

  46. 06[11:42] * @Minase instantly has her staff up and at the ready, sticking it in the cloaked man's chest
  47. 06[11:43] * @Minase turns to the barman.
  48. [11:43] <@Minase> You're really lucky, you know that?
  49. 01[11:44] <huh> The barman looks up. Hm?
  50. [11:44] <@Minase> I suppose this is your cloaked man, right?
  51. 06[11:44] * @Minase keeps a careful eye on him
  52. [11:44] <@Minase> Also, don't move or I'll blow a hole clean through your chest.
  53. 01[11:44] <huh> He stares at the cloaked figure. "...No, that isn't him." He shakes his head. "He was more... yea." He motions at a height slightly shorter than Minase.

  55. 06[11:45] * @Minase sighs
  56. 06[11:45] * @Minase lifts the guy's hood
  57. 01[11:45] <huh> He looks like a deer in headlights.

  59. 06[11:45] * @Minase puts the hood back down and pats him on the head.
  60. 06[11:46] * @Minase walks outside before she causes any more trouble.
  61. 06[11:47] * @Minase sees a pair of intrepid newbie guilders run past her and inside the bar.
  62. 06[11:48] * @Minase grins as they pass, remembering when she was young and eager and not jaded and oh god, she sounds like one of those bums that sit around in taverns all day.
  63. 01[11:49] <huh> As you walk outside, some slight oddity seems to be nagging at you. As you look around, it becomes more plain. Every single person outside, from the old man at the vegetable stand the the newborn babe, is wearing a hooded cloak.

  69. 01[11:51] <huh> The figure is, in fact, slightly shorter than you. It offers a piece of paper.

  71. 01[11:51] <huh> "Come find me." When you look up, the giver has disappeared into the crowd.

  74. 06[11:53] * @Minase finds the nearest town guard, hands him the note for evidence, and gives him as best a description as she can.

  77. 06[11:54] * @Minase brushes it off, it's out of her hair now. Besides, the newbies are there.

  81. 06[11:56] * @Minase flies into a rage and runs back to the bar, feeling like she wants to punch someone in the face really hard

  87. 01[12:00] <huh> The figure lets out a high-pitched yelp, but what you find yourself threatening is an empty cloak. A piece of paper flutters to the ground.

  92. 06[12:04] * @Minase throws the paper down and goes on the hunt for the one person who's not wearing a cloak.

  334. 06[00:31] * Minase scrambles on her back and hands as she gasps for air, feeling as if she's been drowning. Her eyes squint as the light floods her vision.
