(1:39:48 AM) SpaceThorWork: Two days after the job's conclusion: Aeon gets a call from Shibal Kim.
(1:40:31 AM) ***Aeon answers, smiling brilliantly. She's just finished putting her face on. Literally.
(1:41:14 AM) SpaceThorWork: "Hey Aeon, your girl here's awake finally. Want to come talk to her?"
(1:42:07 AM) Aeon: "Of course, how did it go?" She's already on the move as she keeps talking, slipping into a briliant red dress that has been the height of fashion for about three hours at this point.
(1:43:45 AM) SpaceThorWork: "She looks good, if I can compliment my own work. I went with a little bit lighter touch than I do with you, since she's new to this. No obvious joint lines and such. Of course if she decides she wants those they're easy enough to add later, just don't want to come on too strong. That's your job."
(1:47:29 AM) Aeon: "I'm just interested in what makes her happy, the payments went through fine?~"
(1:49:30 AM) SpaceThorWork: "Yup, you're good for it."
(1:49:54 AM) SpaceThorWork: "You coming over?"
(1:51:31 AM) Aeon: "I'm already on my way~" She's already climbed into her stylish car.
(1:53:05 AM) SpaceThorWork: Traffic is annoying to get to the nondescript clinic, but you're still there within the hour. Parking on the street, walking through the rough exterior to a bright, clean interior, and the dye-blonde caucasian woman playing mobile games on her phone in the waiting room. "There you are, traffic?"
(1:58:25 AM) Aeon: "A Future Hope Alliance protest. People were mostly ignoring them but they were taking up lanes." She nods
(1:59:17 AM) SpaceThorWork: "And you wonder why I leave the outside of this place looking like a mess. Protesters assume I'm out of business. Anyway, your girl is resting in bed right now, but she's awake."
(2:00:01 AM) ***Aeon nods. "Alright, anything I should know before I head in?"
(2:00:24 AM) SpaceThorWork: "You want her medication regimen?"
(2:00:46 AM) SpaceThorWork: "I'm assuming you're gonna be taking her in yourself, given that you wrote her address as 'somewhere in the slums i guess'."
(2:01:51 AM) Aeon: "I was planning to, yes." She nods "She'll need some help adapting and I'm very good at that~"
(2:03:52 AM) SpaceThorWork: "Alright." She leans over the counter and grabs a sealed plastic bag. "First month's dose. She should only need three of these. Big bottle is synthestrogen, she takes that twice daily. Small bottle is anti-rejection meds. Once a day, with food. Blister pack is Midol. She wants the whole experience, so I put her on a 28 day clock. Take as needed."
(2:04:52 AM) Aeon: "Alright, just some basic medications then." She smiles and heads in.
(2:06:19 AM) SpaceThorWork: Back behind the counter and down the hall to the right is the convalescence room. Ji-Yae is sitting there, hooked up to several machines...and cuter than hell. Seriously, this should be criminal. The TV is on in the corner, weather forecasts for light rain over the next two days.
(2:07:13 AM) ***Aeon nods, taking in her new look. "Good day~"
(2:09:18 AM) SpaceThorWork: "Hey." She smiles. Honestly, looking at her, the doc didn't have to do much work on her face. She already had the soft lines, they were just roughed up a bit from slum living. A few days after the care of a talented street doc and some real nutrition has done wonders on its own. "Did you deal with Hexcaster and the other one?"
(2:10:18 AM) ***Aeon smiles brilliantly as she heads up to her "We did, yes. They won't be killing any more police officers, thanks to your help."
(2:11:00 AM) SpaceThorWork: She blushes a bit. "I'm glad I could help. I was worried she'd get you though, she's scary."
(2:12:48 AM) Aeon: "Not while I still have a mission~" She reaches down to run fingers through the girls new hair.
(2:13:33 AM) SpaceThorWork: Now, the hair is synthetic, but it's not as ostentatious as Aeon's. It still has colour settings though, right now it's a nice dark brown.
(2:13:46 AM) SpaceThorWork: "You said you were going to tell me more about your mission?"
(2:14:26 AM) ***Aeon nods. "If you'd like to hear it now~"
(2:14:55 AM) SpaceThorWork: "I do."
(2:18:08 AM) Aeon: "Alright. Nature is...it's uncaring and cruel. People are born in ways that are harmful or ways that are painful for them...and beauty is up to the whims of genetics." She shakes her head. "It is not fair...but humanity has always worked to rise above the whims of nature."
(2:18:12 AM) Aeon: "We domesticated animals, we invented farming and tools...and now we are defeating that cruel foe." She smiles brilliantly. "Cybernetics allow for true beauty, for the body to match the soul inside and to give everyone a chance for a future they want. To allow the lame to walk and the blind to see despite the actions of nature against them."
(2:21:47 AM) Aeon: "Replacing the ugly soul of nature with a pure and wonderful synthetic one... a soul reaching for a future where all can be happy, all can be beautiful. To allow everyone to be the best they could possibly be...and to be all they want to be."
(2:22:09 AM) SpaceThorWork: She nods. "I'm in."
(2:22:55 AM) SpaceThorWork: "Wherever you need me, however I can help, I'm in."
(2:23:12 AM) Aeon: "Are you sure dear? There are groups, like the Future Hope Alliance...those who would try to drag humanity back into the muck and the unfairness of the past...they seek to oppose this holy mission."
(2:23:51 AM) SpaceThorWork: "I am. I woke up today and looked at my body, and for the first time it felt like mine. It felt like me."
(2:24:22 AM) SpaceThorWork: "I want to help other people who feel the way I did before. And I want to stop the people who would prevent them from feeling what I feel right now. I'm in."
(2:25:15 AM) ***Aeon takes her hands in her own. "Thank you."
(2:26:05 AM) SpaceThorWork: She squeezes. "So when am I allowed to get out of bed?"
(2:26:59 AM) Aeon: "You can get out of bed today...though you'll want to take it easy for a few days. A butterfly needs a little time to learn to fly even after she's left her cocoon."
(2:27:28 AM) SpaceThorWork: She nods, and starts trying to climb out of bed, careful to not yank any of the wires or tubes still attached to her.
(2:28:24 AM) ***Aeon gently helps her.
(2:29:44 AM) SpaceThorWork: She stands, the thin hospital gown barely covering her slim body. She's a little unsteady on her feet, but acclimatizes quickly. "I'm okay, I think I've got it."
(2:30:30 AM) Aeon: "Alright. Would you like to stay with me for a time?~" She puts an arm around her to help steady her.
(2:30:40 AM) SpaceThorWork: She nods. "Yeah, I'd like that."
(2:31:50 AM) Aeon: "Lovely...oh, I have such wonderful things to show you~" She has brought a change of clothes for the girl. It helps when you literally helped design her measurements for picking clothing.
(2:32:44 AM) SpaceThorWork: "Oh?"
(2:32:47 AM) SpaceThorWork: She looks at the clothes.
(2:35:17 AM) Aeon: It's not quite as showy as Aeon's outfit but it's a very pretty pink and white dress. "Of course. Do you know much about fashion?"
(2:35:54 AM) SpaceThorWork: "A little, I liked to look at fashion magazines a lot, but in Gimpo they were always really old."
(2:36:47 AM) Aeon: "Well, I can help you there~" She starts to help the girl into the dress and heels. Cute look needs cute dress.
(2:38:21 AM) SpaceThorWork: Gown comes off and clothes go on, and it's a match, just like you knew going in. The pink and white accent her skin tone nicely, and the heels give good shape to her already better-than-natural sculpted legs.
(2:39:33 AM) Aeon: "Oh, you look lovely~" She pulls up an AR display mirror of the girl.
(2:40:01 AM) SpaceThorWork: She stares for a few minutes. "It's still hard to believe that's me...but it feels right."
(2:40:56 AM) Aeon: "It looks very right~" She runs a finger down her cheek. "You are beautiful and should feel it."
(2:41:53 AM) SpaceThorWork: Kim comes into the room. "How did you get that dress on around the IV and the monitor wires? Whatever, those can come out anyway."
(2:42:45 AM) SpaceThorWork: Kim starts removing wires and tubes, wiping the spots off with alcohol wipes and putting bandages on them. "There you go. I think I have that shade of pink in gauze if you want it."
(2:42:57 AM) ***Aeon smiles enigmatically. "You know me Kim, I'm a miracle worker~"
(2:46:03 AM) SpaceThorWork: Ji-Yae nods. "Sure, I'll take the pink gauze." "Comin up then." Kim ducks out of the room.
(2:47:03 AM) Aeon: "So, are you happy with your new looks? I tried to make it something you would like~"
(2:47:14 AM) SpaceThorWork: And she's back in a moment later. "Dammit, the stuff I had was hot pink. I got white instead." She wraps the bandages in gauze. "There, you're clear to head out whenever, and Aeon already has your medications."
(2:47:28 AM) SpaceThorWork: Ji-Yae smiles. "It's perfect, thank you."
(2:48:23 AM) Aeon: "Lovely. Please follow me then~" She heads towards the exit, a sway in her step.
(2:48:39 AM) SpaceThorWork: "And thanks, Doctor." Kim shrugs. "Doin my job. You two have fun, I need to get ready for another client in about an hour."
(2:48:47 AM) SpaceThorWork: Ji-Yae goes with you to the exit.
(2:49:37 AM) ***Aeon leads towards her sleek, upmarket sports car...
(2:50:20 AM) SpaceThorWork: "Wow, this is a really nice car. This is yours?"
(2:51:23 AM) Aeon: "It is, yes~"
(2:51:49 AM) SpaceThorWork: "It's been a long time since I've seen a car this nice. I don't think I've ever been in one."
(2:53:44 AM) SpaceThorWork: She climbs inside, making sure to not scuff anything inside.
(2:59:57 AM) ***Aeon slips into the driver's seat. "Well, I suppose you'll get used to it~"

(3:03:21 AM) Aeon: "To my home~" She smiles. "Your home now too~" Said home is a very, very upmarket penthouse apartment. Aeon's fashion work covers legitimate purchases like this.
(3:03:48 AM) SpaceThorWork: She looks up at the building. "This is where you live?" She's in awe.
(3:04:50 AM) Aeon: "It is where We live~" She leads up into it...
(3:05:09 AM) SpaceThorWork: She follows, you both getting a few stares in the lobby.
(3:05:57 AM) ***Aeon putting a lot of showmanship into her walk as people stare...smiling at the girl. "They are appreciating your beauty, now that others can see it~"
(3:06:16 AM) SpaceThorWork: She blushes. "I can see that."
(3:07:31 AM) SpaceThorWork: The elevator attendant lets you in, and keys in the buttons for the penthouse.
(3:08:54 AM) Aeon: "And so they should...you are a work of synthetic art, showing off your beautiful soul~" She leads into the apartment when it arrives. There is a cake on the counter and, in plastic to keep them in good condition, a lot of new outfits waiting for the pair.
(3:09:46 AM) SpaceThorWork: She's just looking around. "This place is huge..."
(3:11:34 AM) Aeon: "Of course...it needs to be large enough for myself and anyone else I'm helping~" She smiles. "Now, would you like to celebrate your emerging from your cocoon as a beautiful butterfly?"
(3:11:59 AM) SpaceThorWork: She looks around a bit longer, then looks at you. "Yeah, I think so."
(3:12:49 AM) ***Aeon pulls her into a hug. "Congratulations, my dear~."
(3:13:12 AM) SpaceThorWork: She hugs back. "It still feels like a dream...a really nice one."
(3:14:48 AM) Aeon: "It's a dream that will reshape the world into a new, wonderful shape~"
