[23:00] <+Editanon> Up and over the southern snow capped mountains, our view centers on a enormous tree in the center of a small plain encircled by a large flowing river. As we get closer we can see people coming and going by both land and air giving off the feeling of a large and bustling city.
[23:00] <+Editanon> Its the day after Breeze and by some miracle Roost has made it though the holiday with no accidents and its airship fleet still in tact. The air has a slight nip to it now as we enter one of the slower months of the end of the year. Missions have slowed, but just barely. Still more then enough work to go around for those that seek it.
[23:00] <+Editanon> As we get closer and closer we ascend the large tree and come to a stop a few feet from a window almost at the top on the northern side. In it we see a tall kid with messy hair standing in front of a desk at which a well built gray haired man sits.

[23:01] <+Editanon> "Well whats going on? Its rare for you to give me a request by myself, now isnt it?"
[23:01] <+Editanon> The middle aged man behind the desk lets out a hearty laugh "This is not a normal request, not a normal mission to tell you the truth. Encouragement, would be more accurate."
[23:02] <+Editanon> The spiky haired guy raises an eyebrow and takes a more relaxed stance "Encouragement you say?"
[23:02] <+Editanon> "Precisely. We have a few members that are simple sitting around letting their precious youth pass them by, I want you to go out and give them a bit of motivation."
[23:02] <+Editanon> "Hey, old man, common. Shes hurt. And even if I had a whole squad of Gus', I doubt I would be able to pull Sam away from her."
[23:03] <+Editanon> The man behind the desk lets out another deep set of laughs. "Oh no, no, you misunderstand Christopher. What happened to Kazumi is regrettable, and you have done a fine job keeping the team in high spirits since then. The members in question.." He slides a few folders across the desk "..are these four."
[23:03] <+Editanon> Chris grabs the folders and ruffles through them as he nods. "Ya I guess you have a point, most of em havnt been all that active latly now have they?"
[23:03] <+Editanon> Chris chuckles to himself and sets the folders down "And you are finally lettin her spread her wings huh? Alright Mallard, this sounds like fun so leave it to me."
[23:04] <+Editanon> Mallard reclines in his chair, putting his arms behind his head "That a boy, be creative if you have to. Hopefully this will light the fire they need to get going themselves."
[23:04] <+Editanon> With a wave Chris exits Mallards office. He places his right hand to his head and puts on an almost evil grin as he walks the halls towards the members in question.
[23:05] <+Editanon> A few minutes later Chris stops outside of a room on the northern side of the same level and knocks a few times on the door "Hey Abby! You decent in there?"
[23:06] <+Editanon> (introduce yourself if you would Abby)
[23:09] <~Abby> a soft voice answers "You can enter" As chris opens the door, it reveals a room that, while cluttered full of various odd and arcane books, still somehow gives off the vibe of being elegant. at a desk near the window sits a young girl writing in a journal, while a larger books is open next to it, both books are full of arcane scribblings. [23:10] <~Abby> elegant eastern kimono with a elaborate Phoenix motif, her hair is long and blonde, with a fair face that has turned to politely face Chris, her long hair completely obscuring her left eye
[23:11] <~Abby> "What did you need?"
[23:12] <+Editanon> Chris nods in approval "Thatll do. What I need, is you." He calmly walks over to Abby, picks her up, an slings her over his shoulder. "Common ya little spitfire, i know your in here too, lets go. We have fun to do!"
[23:13] <+Editanon> Chris calmly walks out of the room with Abby in tow and takes off towards the elevators.
[23:13] <~Abby> Abby sort of... doesnt react, not because she's ok with this, more because she's not sure HOW to react
[23:13] * +Ami follows behind in concern
[23:14] <+Editanon> And now we switch over to our next vict... I mean marry member of this impromptu party, Zip please introduce yourself and your whereabouts
[23:17] <+Zip> Zip sits, slumped at a desk in the library, resting her head on her arms, a fantasy novel pushed just out of reach and her glasses placed to the side. Despite her seemingly docile slumber, her ears remain alert to her surroundings as if they have a mind of their own.
[23:19] <+Zip> She is well dressed in one of her stylized tunics, picked out by her older sister, but is clearly not as careful with them, as wrinkles have been forming from her impromptu nap
[23:20] <+Editanon> It has been a fairly quiet day here at Roost, alittle too quiet really. Normally the tree hums with a low roar at how busy it is, but today not so much, kinda eerie...
[23:21] <+Editanon> And then you hear it, just out of the corner of your perception, that tell tale giggle of the two little monsters that run this tree
[23:21] <+Editanon> and just as quickly as your heard it, its gone
[23:21] * +Zip frowns in her sleep.
[23:22] <+Editanon> suddenly you feel a tug at your left side
[23:22] <+Zip> "Nap'n."
[23:23] <+Editanon> No responce. But now you can hear a pair of faint giggles off infront of you.
[23:23] * +Zip whines, and opens her eyes a crack to look
[23:24] <+Editanon> No bodys there, just an empty library.
[23:24] <+Editanon> But now you feel a tug on your right side.
[23:25] * +Zip archs her back in a stretch, and reaches for her glasses
[23:26] <+Editanon> The tugging continues
[23:26] * +Zip looks at the tug
[23:26] <+Editanon> And again, no one there, Its like some evil ninja clan is out to get you
[23:26] * +Zip detects.
[23:27] <+Editanon> You pull up your detection just in time, to see your world get turned upside down and turned pitch black
[23:27] * +Zip can see despite pitch black
[23:28] <+Editanon> And what you see through the extremely sturdy bag, are the all to familiar twin terrors. Rhona and Raya have finally succeeded in baggin their second favorite play thing.
[23:29] <+Editanon> "We caught her!" Squees Rhona "Yay we got the kitty!" giggles Raya.
[23:29] <+Zip> "...Then you're prepared!"
[23:30] * +Zip twists her body, attempting to attack the bag around her.
[23:30] <+Editanon> Both twins nod in unison "Yeah! We laced it with chains this time!" Cheerfully says Raya "No breaking these!" giggles Rhona
[23:30] <+Zip> Clawing the bag.
[23:31] <+Editanon> The bag has you to tightly, you can hardly move, but the twins are doing that for you. Taking you out of the library and off to the elevators

[23:34] * +Ami --> "Zip rolls 1d100 and gets 8."
[23:34] <+Editanon> You manage to somehow twist the bag... and nothin happens
[23:35] <+Editanon> You can see both twins smiling with pride that they have finally caught there pray
[23:35] <+Editanon> "Yay! We get a good reward for this mission!" yells Rhona "Reward reward!" Raya repeats
[23:35] <+Zip> "Oh noooo. I've been caught", Zip whines, completely monotone
[23:36] <+Editanon> And off you are dragged by the evil duo, to where you donno
[23:36] * +Zip knows exactly because she can see as they take her.
[23:37] <+Editanon> Soon there after at the base of the great tree off to the right of the entrance, we see a fiery redhead standing before a massive door
[23:38] <+Editanon> A few confident knocks echo through this members room, unlike the manic barrage of the twins that normally disturb you at this hour, this one seems friendly. Jeanne please introduce yourself
[23:39] * +Jeanne hurriedly moves some curtains back into place, blocking the view of the larger portion of the room.
[23:40] <+Editanon> Two more knocks ring through your door
[23:40] * +Jeanne is a young girl with blonde hair reaching down to her waist, contrasting nicely with the green dress that appears to hang on her slender frame. A pair of glasses keep her bangs from going into her eyes.
[23:41] * +Maid_in_Heaven opens the door with a bow, "Yes? How may I help you?"
[23:42] <+Editanon> The redhead smiles cheerfully at the maid "Hiya heaven! I just came by to see Jeanne real quick, she around?"
[23:42] * +Maid_in_Heaven appears to be a young woman dressed in a maid outfit. Light lilac colored hair reaches down to her shoulders.
[23:42] <+Maid_in_Heaven> "Yes, I will fetch her in a moment."
[23:43] * +Jeanne appears soon enough being walked to the door by her maid.
[23:43] <+Editanon> "Thanks!" Her happy voice echos out
[23:44] * +Jeanne looks up at her guest, with a wave she remains silent
[23:46] <+Editanon> The redhead smiles "Sorry to drop by this early, but old man Mallard wants to send you an a few others out on a mission. So im here to pick ya up!"
[23:46] * +Jeanne looks up at Maid_in_Heaven
[23:47] <+Maid_in_Heaven> "Very well, I will fetch Holy Diver and the rest of your things."
[23:47] <+Editanon> "Nono, its fine, the three youll be with will be more then enough help. Besides, Haven needs a break. And a request was given that you leave your combat puppet here, we dont want to scare the newbie."
[23:47] * +Maid_in_Heaven soon returns with a bag and a man sized wooden construct
[23:48] * +Jeanne looks back and forth between the girl and her puppet before shaking her head furiously and grabbing the puppet.
[23:50] <+Editanon> The redhead chuckles "Its ok, its ok, i know you dont feel right without one, thats why.." She reaches behind her back and pulls out a large ish box "I got ya this! Its much cuter if I do say so myself."
[23:50] <+Maid_in_Heaven> "I will take my leave then. It was nice seeing you Miss Luna"
[23:51] <+Editanon> Luna waves "Enjoy your break Heaven!"
[23:51] * +Maid_in_Heaven walks off to the side and out of view. Though you swear you heard the sound of something falling onto a bed.
[23:51] * +Jeanne tentatively opens the box.
[23:52] <+Editanon> Inside is a rather cute, but rather childish wooden doll. A damn near spitting image of the girl in front of you, aside from the large head and eyes.
[23:52] <+Editanon> Little over a foot an a half tall and completely combat ready
[23:53] <+Editanon> "Hopefully this little one will due you proud out there today!"
[23:53] * +Jeanne glances between the two before giving the girl an odd look
[23:55] <+Editanon> "Oh dont give me that look, shell do just as good as diver over there, maybe better!"

[23:56] <+Holy_Diver> "Oi! I take offense at that! But take it anyways girl, ya know ya want to use that name ya dart boarded last night."
[23:57] <+Editanon> Luna giggles to herself "You always do such a good voice for him, now common! The others are waiting!"
[23:57] * +Jeanne sighs as she sets the wooden construct aside and starts to figure out how to work this puppet.
[23:58] * +Jeanne makes it a point to look for the details in construction beneath the clothing

[23:58] <+Editanon> Luna covers her face "Its extremely well made, thats what Peacock said atleast. She sure enough charged me a fortune for it so it better be."

[00:01] <+Editanon> Luna smiles "Now she sounds cute, and that would of ruined the surprise wouldnt it?"
[00:02] <+Killer_Queen> "Probably, though I don't know how you'd feel about what I just got named."
[00:03] <+Editanon> Luna quickly grabs your hand an tugs you through the door "Shes yours now, Im sure its a wonderful name" Luna making sure to lock up, and heads inside roost with Jeanne in hand.
[00:04] <+Editanon> Soon enough the two of you are inside Roost at the message board. Sittin in front of it is a rather large bag with the twins jumping in front of it with grins as big as they can be
[00:05] <+Editanon> soon after Chris has arrived with Abby on his shoulder as well, He quickly sets her on her feet an stands by the board
[00:06] * +Killer_Queen wobbles over to the group, "Chris! Chris! I got shrunk!"
[00:06] <+Editanon> He takes a look down at the twins, then at the bag, then back to the twins and sighs. He pulls out two small bags an tosses them to the twins
[00:06] * ~Abby brushes herself off as Ami lands on her shoulder. "You could have at least let me change"
[00:06] <+Editanon> Both twins let out a high pitch sqee as they catch the bags and take off running
[00:07] * Killer_Queen is now known as C-Moon
[00:08] <+Editanon> Chris smiles at Abby and waves at C-moon "You can change later if ya want, this takes precedent, Mallard wants you guys off as soon as ya can."
[00:09] * ~Abby nods "Well ok than"
[00:09] <+C-Moon> "Didn't work huh?"
[00:09] <+Editanon> Luna walks up to Chris an elbows him "You remember the deal right." Chris sighs "Yeah yeah, its yours next run."
[00:10] <+Editanon> Lunas eyes light up an she takes off towards the center of the tree. Chris sighs again and reaches down to the bag "Hey Zip, you ok in there? Twins didnt kill ya did they?"
[00:10] <~Abby> "Is that zip?"
[00:11] <~Abby> "If she's not responding she's probably just napping"
[00:11] <~Abby> "I swear that places she can sleep..."
[00:11] <+Editanon> "It better be Zip, or i just paid the twins for the wrong kidnapping" Chris opens up the bag
[00:11] * +Zip snores.
[00:12] <+Editanon> Chris sighs again "Yep, thats Zip. Alright.. one.. two.. three.. just one more."
[00:13] <+Editanon> Chris looks around, up an above, and raises his voice as he calls out "HEY SWIFT! I KNOW YOUR THERE, COMMON DOWN!"
[00:13] <+Editanon> Alpine, please introduce yourself and possible change your ears
[00:15] <+Alpine> "Aw... How'd you guess?"
[00:16] <+Editanon> "Your not exactly all that stealthy, plus, psionics."
[00:17] * +Alpine a young girl begins to descend from the sky, dressed in a tank-top, a pair of short pants, boots, and a scarf that seems to be as long as the wings on her back. She wears an annoyed expression on her face that quickly turns into sudden shock.
[00:17] * +Alpine points at C-Moon. ''Ah! Big sis became little sis!''
[00:18] <+Editanon> Chris facepalms "An Mallard thinks your ready.."
[00:18] <+C-Moon> "This is what happens when you don't eat your vegetables!"
[00:19] <~Abby> "..."
[00:19] * ~Abby gives a small smile
[00:19] <+Alpine> "ready? Gr- Mallard thinks I'm Ready?"
[00:21] <+Editanon> Chris sighs yet again and points to the bag on the ground "Yes.. yes.. now wake up Zip an lets get this thing going."
[00:27] * +Alpine squeals and flaps her wings excitedly YES!
[00:27] <+Alpine> "YES! yes yes yes yes yes yes yes YES!"
[00:27] <+Editanon> Chris reaches down and shakes Zip a bit "Common sleepy kitty, nap times over."
[00:28] * +Zip gives a big yawn, pushing her glasses up as she rubs her eyes
[00:29] <+Zip> "Whyy..."
[00:29] <+Editanon> Chris completely opens the bag to free Zip "Thats better. Alright, long story short, the old man wants you guys to take the fledgling here out on her first mission. The board is kinda sparse this time of year, but theres still some jobs thatll do just fine."

[00:32] * ~Abby takes a look at the board than furrows her brow and stares at one in particular
[00:32] <~Abby> "...a Dark node? That sounds rather serious."
[00:33] * +Alpine stares at the board and grabs a paper. ''This one has grandpa's signature on it!''
[00:33] <+Editanon> "Ya that ones.. alittle suspicious to say the least, our scouts have said nothing of the sort and our patrol teams are all reporting ok. So really it shouldnt be there, but this chick says it is."
[00:33] <~Abby> "Than someone should investigate I should think. A dark node is no small thing."
[00:34] <~Abby> "And Im worried about the men left behind"
[00:34] * +Jeanne kinda slinks off to the side, letting the others choose.
[00:34] <~Abby> "Im sure at this point there isn't much left but..."
[00:34] <+Editanon> "Correct, someones been doing their homework. If left unattended a node can grow and corrupt everything around it, at later stages it even acts as transport for them.."
[00:35] <+Editanon> "But again, none of our people have seen signs of it, so it should just be a fluke."
[00:35] * +Zip ears quirk about as she reads it
[00:35] <~Abby> "I /am/ a summoner chris, it's not strange I'd know a little something about them"
[00:36] <+C-Moon> "If there's nothing there that just means that there's good news."
[00:36] <~Abby> "hmmm, I'd like to investigate either way. if it /is/ there, and you just missed it, it needs to be destroyed...besides id like to have the chance to study one up close"
[00:36] * +Zip turns to Abby
[00:36] <+Zip> "I wanna go too. It sounds fun."
[00:37] <+C-Moon> "Though we gotta stay away from Zaude."
[00:37] * ~Abby smiles "Glad to hear it"
[00:37] * +Ami sighs in exasperation
[00:37] * +Ami obviously thinks this is a bad idea
[00:38] <+Editanon> Chris smiles at the tiny Luna "Dont worry, this one is a fair bit away from Zaude. Now if you guys dont need me any further, make sure you stop at the old man before headin out."
[00:39] * ~Abby nods
[00:39] * +Ami makes funny faces at the back of Chris's head
[00:40] <+Editanon> And in a blink Chris disappears leaving you all to your own devices
