  3. We have been experiencing issues with emails this week; a number of emails coming in from external have not been received properly from our exchange (email) servers. Due to the nature of the issue, the severity of the issue came to light after damage was caused.

Up to now, $boss has been working with Microsoft to work out the root cause of the issue on our side after we located where the issue was happening, and I’ve been working with our mail filter service provider (where we hold copies of our emails) to work out how to re-deliver this mail once Microsoft’s side has resolved the cause (re-pushing emails right now would risk having additional emails not come through due to the volume all at once, and some recovered emails not being delivered due to the existing issue).

  7. When we restore these emails, we will try to ‘fill in the gaps’ and not duplicate all external emails that have come through for the period of time, however this may be required if there is no other option.

  9. We will update you when we have found the fix for the mail transport, and I will inform you of our side’s expectations from recovering these missing emails in advance.
