Silas: Hm? Who's there?!

Silas: Oh, Prince Leo! What are you doing out here so late?

Leo: Good evening, Silas. I'm looking for Azelle.

Leo: You haven't happened to see him, have you?

Silas: Your horse?

Silas: With all his armor, you'd think I'd hear him coming first.

Silas: Jokes aside, I haven't. Wouldn't he be in the stables?

Leo: Yes, you would think so, wouldn't you?

Leo: Unfortunately, he seems to have wandered off.

Leo: It's strange. He usually never misses his evening grooming.

Leo: Granted, I've been a bit late with it recently...

Silas: I've never thought Azelle would be the spiteful type.

Silas: Do you want me to help you look for him?

Leo: You shouldn't abandon your guard duty.

Silas: I also shouldn't abandon a prince in his time of need.

Leo: You make a fair point. Do what you will.

Silas: Let's check the stables again. Maybe Azelle's come home.

Silas: If not, we get use Sugarcane to search faster.

Leo: You mean you get to use Sugarcane.

Leo: I won't be caught riding behind you on your horse in the middle of the night.

Leo: Dusk Dragon forbid Niles accuse us of "stargazing."

Silas: Yeah.. Maybe you're right.

Silas: You can keep looking on foot, and I'll take Sugarcane out.

Leo: At this point, any plan is a good plan.

Leo: Report back to me in the morning, Silas.

Leo: I'm glad we found Azelle in time for the march...

Leo: But he's still been disappearing every night.

Silas: ...At least he's back in the stables by morning.

Leo: You have a strange look on your face, Silas. What is is?

Silas: It's just... That night, I couldn't find Sugarcane.

Leo: What?

Silas: Sugarcane wasn't in the stables either.

Silas: He's never been one to disappear out of nowhere.

Silas: It's strange that he disappeared the same night Azelle did.

Leo: That's worrisome... What could be causing our horses to flee the stables in the dead of night?

Silas: Do you think it could be mice? Or some other vermin?

Leo: No. Azelle is a war-horse, and he isn't easily spooked.

Leo: I didn't think Sugarcane was either.

Silas: He isn't... What could be going on here?

Leo: I have an idea. Let's go for a ride now, and then watch the stables.

Silas: It's like we're parents waiting to catch our kids sneaking out...

Leo: Do you have a better idea?

Silas: Honestly? I don't think there is one.

Silas: I-

Leo: Don't. Not yet.

Leo: I haven't...come to terms yet.

Silas: ...I just have a question.

Silas: Isn't Azelle a stallion?

Leo: ...It's complicated.

Silas: How could it possibly be complicated?!

Leo: He kicks when people call him a mare.

Leo: Hard. You can ask Xander, if you don't believe me.

Silas: What I can't believe is this situation...

Leo: How about we just...go to sleep?

Leo: This is something we can worry about in the morning.

Silas: Prince Leo, you're pale as a ghost!

Silas: What is it?!

Leo: ...I think Azelle is pregnant.

Silas: You what?

Silas: I wish I hadn't.

Silas: I think it's time we said it out loud.

Silas: Our horses are in love.

Leo: I... It sounds so silly when you say it like that.

Silas: They sneak out of the stables to have midnight trysts, for gods' sake.

Leo: Don't remind me.

Silas: Maybe this is a good thing! An army can never have too many horses, right?

Leo: That's true... I'll need to find a substitute horse to ride while Azelle is...indisposed.

Silas: I can start doing research on what to expect.

Leo: That's a good start.

Leo: They're our horses, so we'll need to be responsible for them, naturally.

Silas: It looks like we'll be spending a lot of time together.

Leo: ...I suppose I don't mind.

Leo: There are far less reliable people to spend time with.

Silas: You think I'm reliable?

Leo: Why wouldn't I?

Leo: You jumped at the chance to help me the very first time I asked.

Silas: I'm glad you think so highly of me, Prince Leo.

Leo: You might as well drop the title now, considering the circumstances.

Silas: Leo! How's Azelle doing?

Leo: Perfectly fine, thank you.

Leo: He's given birth to two healthy foals.

Silas: That's fantastic! Have you decided on names yet?

Leo: No. I believe those names should be chosen by their future riders.

Leo: ...And, if they happen to be in Azelle's situation, we shouldn't assume anything.

Silas: It's almost funny. I've been pacing around out here for what feels like hours...

Leo: What's funny about that?

Silas: It's just...I almost feel like an expectant father!

Leo: ...

Silas: ...Sorry, is that strange?

Leo: No, not really. I had the same feeling myself.

Silas: Leo?

Leo: Yes?

Silas: We've been seeing a lot of each other, haven't we?

Silas: Managing Sugarcane and Azelle...

Silas: Keeping each other updated about everything...

Silas: Even swapping tips about how to handle it all.

Leo: Where are you going with this...?

Silas: I think I might have fallen in love with you.

Silas: I've seen a whole new side of you recently, Leo.

Silas: This situation was so unexpected, I honestly expected you to react worse.

Silas: I know I was pretty shocked.

Silas: But you pulled both of us together and took charge of the situation!

Leo: I feel the same way about you.

Leo: Oh, I feel so silly saying this.

Leo: ...It felt like together, we could overcome anything.

Silas: It would be pretty embarrassing if a prince and a knight were toppled by horse pregnancy.

Silas: Jokes aside, I know exactly what you mean.

Silas: I really meant it when I said I felt like a father.

Silas: It made me wonder what would happen if that were true.

Silas: How much happier would I feel if I had a real family, with you?

Leo: I'd like to find out. If you'll have me.

Silas: Of course I will, as long as you'll have me back.

Leo: We're two bleeding hearts, aren't we?

Leo: I think you bring that out in me.

Silas: That's just another piece of you I get to love.
