- General Questions
- 1. Do you have previous experience in any similar position? If so, elaborate:
- Yes, I do, I have been a "Vehicle Team" member on VCRP, RPP and Owl Gaming, the position of such a role is dealing with everything that has to do with vehicles on the servers, from people crashing their cars and having an admin request them to be disabled, to players fully building cars from the ground up and us checking the roleplay. I've had to deal with players a lot in such a position, as I was usually the one tasked with talking to the players of our decisions and doing in-game reports which were far between but usually involved whining from the players when they didn't get their way, which brings me to a segway.
- 2. What would you do if an angry player wasn't coming to terms with the decision you've made regarding their case?:
- In this case, as previously stated by my experience, I would try to calm the person down, afterwards explaining why such a decision has been taken and trying to make them understand my or the team's point of view, I always tried to explain how the decisions taken by me were taken by looking at all objective points of view. If all else fails and the person keeps being aggressive (I.e. Threatening and heavily flaming) then administrative action will be taken as an absolute last resort.
- 3. Give us an example of a situation in which you went an extra mile for another community member (Not necessarily on GTA W):
- I can remember this one case very specifically as a VT member, there was a guy that no one in the VT liked for his character, because he criticized the VT, even though constructively the members took it to heart and hated his guts. Whenever he posted a request, all the other people would look at it in a subjective manner, giving him a hard time because of his criticism instead of the quality of his work (i.e. RP logs), a few times people have tried denying his requests whilst I pushed for accepting them as he has the right of any player to submit said requests and do said roleplay unless specifically told so (I.e. VT banned which was a rare thing to happen), in the case that he wasn't I pushed for giving him a fair treatment. Another way in which I was for the player is whenever I did my reports I always tried to look at everything objectively, always giving the player a fair chance regardless of any of his problems (i.e. I remember there was a guy with brain damage that couldn't spell properly, I remember many people didn't take him seriously but I tried to cause after all, he's equal to us all.). I'm business as I am in administrating, prosumer, not for my gain but for the gain of the greater good, after all an admin his here to help THE PLAYER, not himself.
- 4. Please explain why you want to be part of this team and what would be your first steps in contributing to the community as a Tester:
- I want to be part of this team as I love this server and everything it stands for, it being a different take on the roleplay genre of servers, as it's incredibly pro consumer and with an extremely fair staff team and an absolute sweetheart of an owner, which is less than I could say for most servers. I like the over-all attitude of player first, admin second, we're all equal to the players, we're just volunteering to help them. However on what I can bring is insane knowledge of vehicles which can be very useful in script development (helping scripters etc) and in supervising roleplay that might not be supported by the script. Another quality of mine, which I don't have many of by the way, is the fact that I'm generally self-less, which is a disadvantage in every-day life but a huge advantage of a staff member, I think about the player first and me second. I have a lot of experience in dealing with players in my 8+ years of roleplaying and over 10,000 hours of roleplay.
