This Neighborhood is Crazy

Be an average office worker going home for the day.

One day you’re walking toward your car when your ears pick up a strange, high pitched sound coming across the lot. It’s pretty hard to make out, so you walk towards it. Once you crest a small hill the source reveals itself to you. A small herd of fluffies sobbing into their fluff.

As you get closer, you make out the individual sobs. Cries of “Where weggies?”, “Miss weggies”, and “Weggies pwease come back” reach your ears. Kneeling down to inspect one, you notice that it has no legs. In fact none of them do.

Who would amputate a whole herd? What’s more is that you notice that the amputations are very, very clean, with no stumps or scaring. In fact it’s almost like they never had legs to begin with. At least the nutcase who did this was kind enough to give them proper care after he amputated their legs. Trying to ask them who took their legs is fruitless, as they’re too distressed to give a coherent answer.

Very very odd.

One call to a local shelter later, and you’re on the road home.

You’re about four blocks from your apartment when you see it, an indistinct blob of colors on the sidewalk. Puzzled, you slow down until you can get a better look at it.

It’s a mass of thick, furry sausages, bouncing along as such a sight was perfectly ordinary.

You hear one of them squeak out, “We’re going to disney world!”

How about that, their legs really did go on vacation.
