  1. Pilot’s plan to not get fired
  2. Written due to the likely hood of us being fired.
  3.
  4.
  5. Phase One: Preparation for Reconstruction: Thirty minutes - One day after plan start
  6.
  7. Step one P1: Purge inactives
  8. This step is one of the most crucial steps. Inactivity is like virus that will spread to others if not stopped quickly. Nevermind the fact the high command will punish inactivity, inactivity will often lead to other active members becoming discouraged and becoming inactive themselves. Therefore, inactivity should be rooted out at once, not in big sweeps.
  9.
  10. If step is performed poorly/not at all: You won’t be able to fill your platoon with new active people, and will likely lead to a low activity rate
  11. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12. Step two P1: Recruit / Consolidate (After initial recruitment, it should be continued through out platoons lifespan)
  13. Once your platoon has all of its inactives purged, you must consolidate what forces you have and recruit as much as possible. Do not, under any circumstances assume that your lowers can recruit for you. It is your sole duty as a Lieutenant to feed and grow your platoon. From my personal experience, anyone who isn’t tagged Lieutenant will often get much less recruits then the Lieutenant himself. Recruiting should be the main focus of the time immediately after the purge. Once you get men coming in, you must merge them in with the men you consolidated before, as seeing a platoon that welcomes them will breed activity. Make sure you are online and engaging with your new people, as it will help greatly.
  14.
  15. If step is performed poorly/not at all: Your platoon will die, if you can’t perform basic recruitment, your platoon will die.
  16. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  17. Step three P1: Make clear goals and guidelines for your platoon
  18. Make sure your platoon knows exactly what you want from them. Be as sure as possible that each and every person you recruit is able to be on when you need them. As the platoon will be reconstructed soon, these are the guidelines to give them in preparation for the reconstruction:
  19. Must be able to be on most of the times when squad is assigned
  20. Must be willing and able to be messaged asking for help/attendance.
  21. Must not set their discord to offline, if caught they will be discharged. (To avoid the argument “Well you guys ping too much, the schedule will hopefully fix that)
  22. Must fill out any and all forms that the Lieutenant or other command staff give them (I.e. Squad forms (will explain later) and surveys) as they are for the betterment of the platoon.
  23.
  24. Also, begin mass training and learning the potential in every member. You will need good sergeants for the next phase.
  25.
  26. 
  27.
  28. If step is performed poorly/not at all: The following reconstruction will be difficult without this step, as people will likely be confused and such. Make sure this step is followed, however it is likely not going to kill your platoon if not followed through
  29.
  30. ==================================================================
  31.
  32. Phase Two: Entire platoon reconstruction: Five days to one week after plan start
  33.
  34. Step One P2: Squad reconstruction
  35. At this point, your platoon should be a relatively full (50+ members not including command staff) and is mostly active. It’s now time to build your squads. Make the top five of the newly trained and hopefully still active recruits as your Sergeants, and have them hand pick who they want as Corporals. Please use the following format of a optimal squad for reference.
  36.
  37. Squad Format:
  38.
  39. Sergeant - Everything below + good leadership experience from training/trails
  40. Corporal - Mic/must be competent/Someone I would make a sergeant
  41.
  42. Lance Corporal - Mic/must be competent
  43. Lance Corporal - Mic/must be competent
  44.
  45. Private First Class - A promising person

  50. Private - Anyone
  51. Private - Anyone

  55.
  56. If you can’t fill the squads, either lower the amount of people from thirteen to twelve. If even after this your squads can’t be staffed properly, continue recruitment and training.
  57.
  58. If step is performed poorly/not at all: Impossible to continue on to the next step, this must be down atleast to four squads(however I recommend filling five) to continue on.
  59.
  60. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61. Step Two P2: Squad Scheduling
  62. Probably the most important and key part to this entire plan, the squad Schedule. It is crucial to this plan that you have at least four to five active squads for this to work. I know getting that many is daunting, however as a Lieutenant it’s your job to fill and make your platoon active, so get along with it.
  63.
  64. The following schedule is to cut down on the amount of time the individual low ran will need to spend in game. This will hopefully allow those who end up leaving due to them feeling either overwhelmed or annoyed about how often we randomly ask them to get on. (Squad five is reserved for those few who actively be on all the time.
  65.
  66. Sunday: Active Hours: 5pm --- 9pm / Squads: All squads
  67. Monday: Active Hours: 6:30pm --- 9pm / Squads : Squad 1 / Squad 5
  68. Tuesday: Active Hours: 6:30pm --- 9pm / Squads : Squad 2 / Squad 5
  69. Wednesday: Active Hours 6:30pm --- 9pm / Squads : Squad 3 / Squad 5
  70. Thursday: Active Hours 6:30pm --- 9pm / Squads : Squad 4 / Squad 5
  71. Friday: Active Hours 6pm --- 9pm / Squads : All squads
  72. Saturday: Active Hours 5pm --- 9pm / Squads : All squads
  73.
  74. If step is performed poorly/not at all: This is key to this plan, if not done, why did you even start? If done poorly, could lead to people getting confused, plan collapsing, and your platoon relapsing back into inactivity, be careful while performing this step.
  75.
  76. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77. Step Three P2: Squad Upkeep
  78. This is where having good people in spots Sergeant + is important. All sergeants should know what the schedule is an make extra sure their men also know and accept it. It is then the duty of the Staff Sergeant to collect reports of the squads performance and activity. Those Sergeant reports should also include any needed personal, but as the Lieutenant should be on top of his platoons squads membership at all times, the personal part should be more regarded as people possibly inactive and needing of discharge. These Sergeant reports will be presented by the Staff Sergeant in a command staff meeting held at 4:30pm every Friday.
  79.
  80. The following is a sample report:

  82. Sergeant name
  83. Date Written
  84.
  85. The 3rd squad is going quite well. Yesterday, our squad was able to rally everyone for our Wednesday training and patrol except two. At the moment we are doing very well, although in the last inspection some of us were a bit slow to react. I plan to fix this by being more strict with them when doing things like turns and arms drills.

  107. Phase Three: Keeping your platoon alive: three weeks and beyond
  108.
  109. (No steps, as anything that happens past here is subjective and can’t be predicted)
  110.
  111. Congratulations! If you made it to this point fine, and your platoon is hopefully doing well, then thank you. Hopefully this plan actually will work in making a platoon into an actual effective fighting force, not some ten active member small squad pretending to be a platoon.
  112.
  113. Anyways, you must continue to recruit fresh faces, imprint on them, train them to not only be good soldiers, but train them to be loyal. With loyalty will come activity, with activity comes greatness. If you can set up as welcoming system, like this one is, and create a non invasive and easy to understand schedule, hopefully you can propel your platoon into greatness.
  114.
  115. However, none of this is proven to work. I’ve only done small scale tests which have brought promising results. For all I know once this system is put into a platoon is may very well collapse and die. Although the risks, I have faith in this system, and it follows along with what I have observed throughout my time as platoon command staff. I sure as hell will attempt this, and hopefully, even I get ousted and some random Lieutenant in the future, maybe you, they might try this system to.
