- Daphne Bieshaar is the greatest woman to ever race in Formula One. That’s not hyperbole — that’s an empirically proven, statistically backed fact. As of 2029, she already has two World Drivers Championships - including the only perfect season in F1 history, and is on her way to her third as we publish this video. Alongside her now-fiancée Vikka-Marin Simonsson and longtime friend Yachiru Koga, the three have pushed the boundaries of the sport like never before, sharing six of the seven world titles won by female drivers in the past ten years.
- Kristos Chernyrokovic, on the other hand, is the son of Wladymir Chernyrokovic, now-sanctioned former owner of Rosgazo, who sponsored the shambolically slow Manor F1 cars Nikita is driving…when he could drive it, and even then, he’s often the last to arrive after every race. If he even arrives in one piece. He's also a brash, brutish man with a history of sexual assault, including much-publicized cases against Koga and Simonsson. Cases that have earned him suspensions.
- Daphne hates him for that, and won't let Nikita hear the end of it -- or her greatness, considering they come from the same crop of F3 racers. But it's actually the on-track incidents between him and Bieshaar -- plus two nut shots and a helmet hit -- that will turn this beef from a slow-roasting dish into a roaring, bloody, geopolitical fire.
- This isn't beef, it's a whole ranch -- and that ranch is about to become a warzone.
- [title card: BEEF HISTORY - DAPHNE BIESHAAR vs. KRISTOS CHERNYROKOVIC]
- See, Daphne and Krystos have known each other since 2016, when Bieshaar first burst onto the scene as a breakout superstar driving for the Singapore-based Merlion Racing team, who at the time competed in Japan's Super GT and Super Formula series, as well as the Asia Le Mans Series. The youngest daughter of a Filipina mother and Dutch father, Daphne shocked the racing world by winning both the Super Formula and Asia Le Mans LMP2 titles in her rookie season. A year later, she won the Formula 3 European Championship and the Macau Grand Prix by a landslide. The latter two also featured Chernyrokovic languishing in the standings: 20th with just 10 points in F3 Euros and smacked out of Macau in a first-lap pileup.
- But that didn't stop beef from starting to cook between the two -- Daphne's lone DNF in F3, at her home race in Zandvoort -- was caused by Kristos rear-ending her in the pit garage, injuring three crewmen and sending her to concussion protocol.
- After a week, Bieshaar recovered, then ripped Chernyrokovic's recklessness in the Dutch-language interview she gave De Telegraaf. And she wasn't alone: Lance Stroll and George Russell also had their own choice words for the Russian driver. For that crash, Chernyrokovic was docked two points from his superlicense and was fined €50,000 for his role in the crash. Safe to say that Chernyrokovic felt slighted, but he apologized profusely to Bieshaar and even visited the medical facility where the others were admitted. Bieshaar kept it cordial. "Apology accepted," she told Will Buxton.
- That was supposed to be it. And then Kristos's dad made it personal.
- =======================================================================================================================================
- Daphne had finally had enough. With Nikita's car directly in her sights, she told engineer Rachel Noy exactly what she wanted to do to him.
- <<Fuck it, I'm killing him.>>
- She instantly jumped out of the car, shoved a steward away, shouted "YOU ALMOST GOT US KILLED YOU FUCK" in Russian and pushed Kristos' head back into the cockpit. Two-handed, full-force push. Even hit his hand when he tried to get out a second time.
- [ALEX BRUNDLE: "That's Daphne, and I don't think we need to translate what we're seeing. That is frustration, disdain and anger all at once."]
- [DAVID CROFT: "We've never seen anything like this. Not since the '90s I don't think. And from the looks of things, Kristos won't want to stop it either--"]
- Kristos managed to get out of his car and started at Daphne--
- [ANTHONY DAVIDSON: "the stewards are still holding onto Kristos, Daphne's already in the pit lane, still refusing the stewards--"]
- --but by this point, it's clear who Daphne was going after.
- Wladymir had ran out to the Manor garage, "distraught" according to Steiner, and seemed like he wants a piece of Daphne too. Once Daphne make it one step into the Haas box, Dmitriy grabbed Daphne's chest and shouted his curses.
- Her response? A max-power kick to Dmitriy's crotch. Kristos's father collapsed to the ground. All hell broke loose afterward.
