- It works the same way as how cults give out free lunches to get prospective acolytes in the door. You come to the Happy Hotel because the bar has a two for one special and a free snack with every drink you buy. You stay because once you're on that bar stool you find yourself with one pleasantly chatty drinking buddy after another. Then the next thing you know some cheery blonde and her phat-assed goth GF are inviting you to come back the following afternoon for a little "group activity". You join in on that once, twice, three dozen times, and all of the sudden you find yourself sitting on a cloud playing a harp in spite of the fact that you've never owned a harp and never learned to play either. That's how they get ya.
