  1. meyer is a big cube method for roux users.
  2.
  3. it is essentially just yau, but after your first 2 centres, instead of building the first 3 cross edges you build first block. which is basically just the same as first cross edges, but with the corners inserted.
  4.
  5. then you solve your last 4 centres like in yau, and you get to edge pairing, where you only have 2 open slots instead of 4, because you need to preserve the corners of your first block.
  6.
  7. then afterwards you just do roux 3x3 stage, with first block already solved.
  8.
  9. it is worse than yau (though i have my own opinions about that...), but its probably the best option if you really really want to use roux on big cubes. but for like 95% of roux users, it would be better to get good at cfop and use yau/hoya/redux.
  10.
  11. one more thing to note is that M slice edge pairing is better than E slice edge pairing for meyer, for a variety of reasons. so if you already use M slice edge pairing (which is very rare these days...), and you wanna use roux on big cubes, you may as well give it a shot. but if you use E slice like 99.9% of people, you probably just shouldn't bother. because why on earth would you relearn how to pair edges on a different axis just so you can use roux on big cubes 😭
