  1. Once the world was a place of relative peace, people still fought over things that didn't truly matter and wars, arguments, and various other problems in the world were commonplace, yet you could always find light within that darkness, people working to help others and bring joy to the world. That was until the Virus hit. This Virus...it changed people, reset their brains to a reptilian state, sure some managed to resist it for at least a week or two but everyone infected eventually became insane, angry, mutated, taking on forms like the beefy and powerful Juggernaut Infected or the Explosive Boilbomb infected among a myriad of others. These...creatures came to be known as "The Mutant Hordes" and they ravaged the world as the virus spread like wildfire. People became even more cruel and divided, yet heroes born from hardship were also born. One such hero, a man known as "Surgeon Daniels" brought hope to this desolate wasteland. A cure and in turn a vaccine, once he created it he spread it's secrets to manufacturing all across the world and many soon became immune to the virus and began to fight back. A special mist was created that ended up having an unintended effect, it cured those who were already mutated and infected. They retained their mutations and in some cases with the more volatile infected, the self-destructive effects of their mutations were negated and they regained their mental acuity and sanity.
  2.
  3. It has been years since then, over 90% of those who were once a part of The Mutant Hordes have had their minds cured and reverted back to normal, these people are...not treated very well and are usually kept seperate within their own communities for fear of the abilities they have. This is not the same all over the world though, as there exist communities where families that had infected members tearfully reunited with their family and there are many calls to stop discrimination against the mutated and allow them to fully re-integrate into society. Others still say they should be exterminated for the crimes they have committed and many of the Infected themselves deal with deep mental issues as they remember everything they did while their minds were overtaken by the virus. Still, the world is learning and rebuilding and who's to say it'll remain this way for long?
