Home again.

"Damn."

He had finally made it. Zenkichi's shoulders slump almost as soon as he enters. It was good to be home alone. These walls made him feel invincible sometimes. Though he knew that just about anything worth its salt could tear them apart in a single swipe of its hand, he still felt safe inside. Safe not only from actual danger, but from the general bustle of the world.

Here he felt at ease.

Like his heart had finally been sewn back together. After the journey into the Spirit Realm and the manifestation of his powers suddenly, his own self confidence had received a huge boost. At the very least, it gave him a sense of progression. No matter how slow that might be.

These thoughts all whirled in his head as Zenkichi sat down, readying himself to meditate. With the slightest of breaths... he cleared himself. All felt right. That feeling of a knife in his throat had completely faded from him. Even as called upon his magic and let his energy drift outward from his body, he felt himself still in peace.

How weird it was, to think that he'd become like this. A man chasing after God.

Maybe the kid in him still had power over him. But he was definitely smarter now. Knew the scale of things. Knew how insurmountable the goals he had set in place were, and knew how ridiculous it was to even think of taking the first step down that path. Even so. Not a single bit of him was thinking about backing out now.

He'd keep it that way.
