  1. [00:30] Yvel made himself known moving towards Elijah with a modest demnour, His eyes reflected the same blusih green color they always had burning with determination. Although far more gentler than most.
  2.
  3. "Greetings Sir Soleis. I am Yvel Endore, Cadet of the First Light. I've sought you out for many reasons but mostly because I wish to train under someone whom I find respect in. While the other Exarchs I've met...they've barely had the time to consider me. Beyond the Lightning wielder who made me a cadet."
  4.
  5. Yvel had after become an cadet but beyond his mild duties and training he had nothing to truly fight for beyond the protection of his family and the people.
  6.
  7. "I suppose sir I came here to express my willingness to learn from you and to become a knight that can help others and settle the unrest that I see scattered in the faces of the citizens. Or at least that is my hope." Yvel spoke with truth to his intentions to become better thanhe was.
  8.
  9. He was no Vanguard who would dominate the battlefield within the blazing lions he found no unity there. The Brigade stuck to the shadows which didn't appeal to him either and in truth he knew not the nature of the Agies but knowing that Elijah had mastered Holy magic was enough to pique his interest enough to seek him out.
  10.
  11. "Its a pleasure to meet you Ser, I will not take up any more of your time. I just hope I can one day prove myself a true Knight of this kingdom."
  12. (Yvel Endore)
  13. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14. [00:35] The blonde-haired knight's emerald-cut green eyes were focused on Yvel as he spoke, his lips pressed together with curiosity. Once the cadet has made his introductions, Eliah gestured forward with his right hand, tilting back his chin some. With a wide, open-mouthed smile, he spoke, "Tutelage? It is The Light that you lures you to me, hmm?"
  15.
  16. The tips of Elijah's fingers are alight then with holy magic, a soft, whispy glow that spreads out from the center of his palm along each digit. It is warmth -- it is protection. It is everything that makes us human.
  17.
  18. "You'll be interested in a...public seminar of sorts, soon. I hope to see you there, Yvel? In these trying times -- with The Syndicat eon the loose -- we need more lights in the world to guide us through the dark."
  19. (Elijah Soleis)
  20. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21. [00:40] Yvel watched as the holy lights enveloped the man and a smile rose to his face as he saw it for himself the power one could hold to stand up against the ruinations of the darkness.
  22.
  23. "It was the light at first yes, But it was also the mystery of your Aegis. I don't quite understand what your squad stands for and I suppose I wanted to get to know the man behind it." Yvel smiles his light not nearly as radiant as Elijah's own but it was something to say he was a positive person.
  24.
  25. "I'll take any lessons from you that puts me on the path to shining the lights in the places hidden in darkness Ser. That is what I felt the Stars has lead me to be as a Knight and as a protector of my family. I know this path is for me. Where perhaps will the lessons take place and when?" Yvel did have a few questions about the Aegis but he recollected from his prior conversations that it wouldn't be much of a point unless Elijah picked him personally. It was often rumored those who made it into the Aegis were hand picked and Yvel would not aim to force his way in.
  26. (Yvel Endore)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28. 00:49] Elijah always, without fail, welcomed those interested in learning Holy Magic, and today was no different. What would the sky be without the stars to light it? What would the world be without magi on the proper path? And so he smiles and nods at Yvel, while standing broad-shouldered and proud; the soft golden glow spreads down his wrist and soon envelops his entire stature, like a twisting, calm fire, blending in against the Knight Exarch.
  29.
  30. "Then your first lesson, Yvel..."
  31.
  32. "It is Humility."
  33.
  34. "It is the foundation of the magic. Selflessness and sacrifice. The Light is at its best when the urge to protect is not just your friends and family, but the downtrodden and the unfamiliar."
  35.
  36. "So I want you to spend two weeks in Sudbury. Be helpful, offer yourself as a magi - as someone who has the power to lift others up, then return to me. You can do that, can't you?"
  37. (Elijah Soleis)
  38. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  39. [00:55] The words of the Elijah are heard and an even brighter smile is revealed once the lesson is given to him. Helping others? It was something Yvel would do even if he was told not to. It was what got him recruited into the Order after all.
  40.
  41. He was no bystander and if he could alleviate someone's pain even for but a moment to lift them up and onto a better path...He would do so as many times as it took. "Of course I can Ser, I often visited with my father when I was younger and he would make his rounds. I have no issue going there and offering my services as a cadet and as a member of the First Light as you said. 'All' citizens matter and must be protected."
  42.
  43. Yvel was a big believer that no matter what station you were born at you could achieve greatness. Its something he often told his siblings something he often told many of his friends as well. He struggled, Suffered and had known the clutches of grief as have many but it did not stop him from achieving what he knew he could.
  44.
  45. "I will take myself to Sudbury, and I will aid anyone who needs my assistance. Thank you for allowing me to learn such an importance lesson ser I'll take it with strides."
  46. (Yvel Endore)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48. [00:59] In such little time, he is surrounded on all sides! Yami, who is seeking him for one reason or another, a beggar behind him, and a noble...? Perhaps it's the holy glow that attracts them, but Elijah does not mind. "Do that, Yvel. I'm glad to hear it. We'll speak more on the technicalities of the magic later on." It was a test of character, naturally, and the cadet's reaction was a welcome one.
  49.
  50. Now...
  51.
  52. To Erika, he turns around - while passing a glance to Yami - and speaks, "Of course. Whenever you wish."
  53.
  54. Then he looks down at the boy, "What is it, hm? I was preoccupied."
  55.
  56. Now to the beggar he tilts his head some, "It is against the law to beg in the streets. Please do not do so. Find yourself a shelter, where you'll be warmed by soup and good grace." However, subtly, fingers dip into the Exarch's pocket and he pulls a small bag of bronze coins and passes it to the man.
  57. (Elijah Soleis)
