» BACKGROUND:
— AKEMI GREW UP in a rich household. her parents made sure to get her into the best schools because they wanted her to have the best education; plus they wanted to brag about their daughter. instead of their little 'dream child' they wanted, things ended up going wrong. when akemi was in public school, she had always spent time after school working on projects but ended up trailing off and visiting the science room instead. her teacher would be out of the room so she'd sneak a few chemicals and such info her bag, then once she got home she would clear up space in her garage and practice making things.

— WHEN HER PARENTS caught her working with chemicals, her teachers didn't think it was that much of a bad thing (although she did get scolded for stealing chemicals out the lab). they actually encouraged her to work more with science to find out who she was, but her parents fairly disagreed. they didn't want akemi to be working with a "dirty and low paying career" like science and instead decided to get akemi her own personal teacher at home; so she was then homeschooled.

— HER NEW TEACHER was a female and a very strict one at that. she wouldn't let akemi slouch when she sat, she wouldn't let akemi even look at anything like science, and she taught her how to be the kid her parents always wanted. akemi hated it all. since she was homeschooled, she was kept away from friends and nature. during the weekends when she would ask to go out, her parents would complain and yell about how she needed to be a 'normal child'.

— THIS PHASE WENT on until akemi stayed with her aunt for a week while her parents were out of town. her aunt wasn't very good at watching her so she ended up sneaking back home and went back to her garage to work. every night akemi had low key been researching and keeping up with chemistry, so she would finally be able to test out new things. when her parents had returned, even though she knew she would get in trouble for it, she still wanted to show them her first actual completed experiment: toothpaste.

— HER FATHER DIDN'T say anything, but her mother had slapped her and told her she needed to do better things with her life such as getting married and having children. that night, her mother (with the help of her father) threw out all of her science related things, even the ones in the garage. akemi had cried herself to sleep that night but before she did her father had snuck in and gave her what he could save.

— THE NEXT DAY akemi was still upset but her mother tried to act like everything was fine since she thought all of the science related things were gone. things absolutely weren't fine though, and they wouldn't be after that day. akemi grew too upset with her mother and with the leftover chemicals her father saved her, she made a poisonous mixture and poured it into a glass of wine.

— HOWEVER, HER MOTHER didn't end up drinking it. it was her father who did so instead, and he passed away later on that night. akemi had always regretted it, but at least her mother wasn't so bitchy anymore. in fact, she had softened up and tried to buy akemi all the things she had thrown away before. because of that, akemi had always felt guilty, so since she had her science back she made a deal with her mother.

— SHE BEGAN TO act like the daughter her and her father always wanted, and she fixed up everything that her mother didn't like about her. this change made her almost a completely different person too. the new akemi learned not to talk unless obligated to, had gotten rid of her childish sense of humor, and had more of a reserved type of behavior. her mother was proud of this, and even though akemi always acted like she was happy about the new her too, deep down she wasn't and would never be.

— WHEN AKEMI FINALLY graduated she left her mother alone and got her job at the coffee shop. she met the girls there and thought it would be a normal job until she once followed one of them home after a very suspicious day at work, and that's how she found out about them being assassins and such. instead of snitching about it she wanted to join in too since her life was basically boring and always in the house before that. even though the girls were mad at her for being sneaky, they still did welcome her in and were very accepting of her.

— IT WAS TOUGH for her at first, especially since the last time she had used chemicals for anything bad ended with her killing her father by accident. she got over it though and learned how to identify chemicals quickly and speed up the reactions in large emergency situations.

— SHE ALWAYS ATTACKS the same way each time: shoot the target with her silenced gun, then throw/pour a chemical on them afterwards. the good thing about her using chemicals as well is that with some of them, there's no trace that's left behind, so she also doesn't get caught that often, but just in case the girls always check behind her for mistakes.

— THE THOUGHT that her father died despite being a good person makes her want to fight off all the bad people every day. Akemi believes that only good people deserve to live because bad people will only do bad things.

— AKEMI AND YOONGI met at the cafe she works at. at the time, she didn't know he was going to be her partner for the next target, so she only treated him like abnormal customer, whilst he sat in the corner — never drinking what he ordered — but instead studying akemi's actions and how she worked.

» FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
— [AKEMI] when akemi first met yoongi, it was because she was serving him as a customer. she didn't think much of him but noticed how he would stare at her from the corner of the cafe, and never actually drank what he ordered. she found this suspicious and initially planned to target him, but the next day she found out he was her partner, so she realized why he acted like that.

— [AKEMI] after working with each other for a few days akemi had realized that he wasn't a pervert and that he actually was a pretty decent guy. she liked being around him and one night while they're on lookout she falls asleep on his shoulder and that's when she knew she was starting to like him, so then she started to show him more of her true colors to initially see his reaction.

— [YOONGI] even though he knew akemi would mistake him as a pervert, yoongi went on with his 'observing coffee' plan. he would watch how she worked with the girls and wanted to know what she was really good at while keeping his distance. he kind of fell in love with the way she moved her way around the cafe so regularly but still managed to look like a queen while doing so. funny enough, that was the same day she planned on targeting him.

— [YOONGI] once the two started working with each other he could tell he was starting to enjoy working with her more than he should have. then one night when they were supposed to be looking out for their target (who didn't show up that night) she fell asleep on his shoulder and he didn't know what to do so he finished working, brought her to his car and wrapped his jacket around her, and drove her home safely. after that night he realized he had some sort of feeling for her, so he also opened up more to see if she liked him for him and not just for his (really good) looks.

» HOW SHE ACTS AROUND HIM:
— in the beginning akemi barely even acknowledged yoongi. she mainly wanted to focus on her work, but as she got more comfortable around him she started to loosen up an it on her strict personality and he loosened up a bit too. akemi got to see the goods and bads of yoongi and she enjoyed it so she showed him her highs and lows too. around him she's more fun and smiles more often because he brings that out in her, and she likes when he asks her for help because it makes her feel important, like he needs her, you know? and everyone wants to be needed every once in a while.

» HOW HE ACTS AROUND HER:
— at first yoongi just thought of akemi as a work partner, that's it. but once they started spending more and more time together he started to open up more and show her what she calls his "bad boy side". he's very dominant and possessive over akemi — which she doesn't mind — and always asks her things like "what's on your mind?" or "are you okay?" a lot. around her he's not his normal self, but at the same time he is. akemi brings out the human in min yoongi.
