  47. Dr. Kersey is going about living his life, until one dreadful day. Paul Kersey's family is endangered, Dr. Kersey swears revenge upon those who had wronged him, and from there everything changes. He will do anything in his power to make sure these anonymous men pay.
  48. Dr. Paul Kersey is an experienced trauma surgeon, a man who has spent his life saving lives. After an attack on his family, Paul embarks on his own mission for justice.
  49. Not 'Taken 3'. story of hard working husband and gentle father who accidentally ended in finding closure to his loss through clever planning and swift actions without getting bluntly caught by police force. violent but with less efforts. the story line and the movie phase was synchronous.
  50. I am not certain about a great number of things. I am not certain about much at all. But of this I'm convinced: with absolutely no experience directing, casting or writing screenplays, I could have done a better job than the idiots who made this movie. Eli Roth is Ewe Boll. There is no difference, except Boll would have done a far superior job. The original death wish captured a cultural flow of a certain time period: fear of the impoverished other in the seventies in the form of home invasion in a raging, jungle metropolis (yes, racism was an issue also). A B movie to be sure, Bronson played cool rage to elevate it to cult status, speaking to the fear that was hanging around everywhere. In comes Bruce Willis and Eli Roth and the absolute worst movie ever, ever, ever. Try to picture a comedy bit, say two cops looking at a crazy scene of dead clowns, "open and shut case Johnson," one says, "open and shut case." That they're being serious strikes us as funny. Now imagine that very same "energy" if you will between Willis and the cops "investigating" him for vigilante justice. The screenplay and directing is so god-awful we get this confusing, expressionless, one-dimensional surreal dialogue that we only bare by fantasizing we are watching The Naked Gun: Death Wish. It truly is that bad. I almost didn't rent this one, solely because of Willis, who for too many years has ham handedly parodied himself with soggy, by the numbers and massively uninspired performances, truly the opposite of say, Robin Williams performances in Good Will Hunting and Dead Poet's Society. Not only do we know he doesn't care, we know he wants us to know it, and that, my friend, makes all the difference. Boycott all things Willis now and forevermore. Boycott as you envision him with his pearly white dentures, corpse-like, as he mindlessly chirps off his lines, laughing all the way to the bank. "Hank" from Breaking Bad should feel deeply, deeply ashamed. He took the money to be a part of trash. And yet, who must take the full brunt of the blame? "Hank" and Willis were just doing a job they were paid to do. Roth was the same. Maybe, like a Gestalt, they are all to blame, they are all complicit. But of this I am sure: if only one person had even a miniscule bit of passion, this movie would have been watchable.
  51. Eli Roth and screenwriter Joe Carnahan could have done the same thing, manifesting the rages and fears that afflict the country we live in right now. Instead they offer a cheap and dishonest Death Wish that (references to social media notwithstanding) is interchangeable with get-tough knockoffs that have flooded cinemas for decades.
