You have overcome the ⅝ chance of getting innocent. This is the role you will play as the most because of the high chance of getting it. So you need to get familiar with this role. You should be looking out for people that are suspicious and you should put suspicious on them by typing in chat “sus <player’s name>” into text chat - this can be done in voice chat but if it is done in text chat then everyone can see it - or this can be done with a bind which I will cover later on. If they do something to prove them a T then you should KOS them this can be done by putting “KOS <player’s name>” into text chat - this can be done in voice chat but if it is done in text chat then everyone can see it - or this can be done with a bind which I will cover later on. There is a risk in killing everyone that does a KOSable thing as, if they are innocent,  your Karma will go down, when it goes below 1000 then the damage you do will start to go down. There is no reward for having high karma, the max karma is 1400. You should always do as a D - or detective - tells you to do as this can help the round move faster.

You have overcome the ⅛ chance of being Detective here is how to use the role most effectively. Being a Detective is a lot like being Innocent but you have more tools and you spawn with armor. However the most valuable is the DNA scanner which can be used to see who killed someone. This is essential to caching Ts as it leads you to them, to use the DNA scanner you go to a dead person or a C4 and take DNA from it. Not every dead person has DNA from the person who killed him, to see if they have DNA on him just press e on them and there should be a little window that indicates that they have DNA and how long the DNA lasts for which can be seen in this picture:

The red box shows how long is left to get the DNA of the body if this has gone it means that either the timer has run out or that he was killed in a way that means getting DNA of the body is not possible. The blue box if pressed calls you the detective to it and you should urge innocents that if they see the thing in the red box to press the bottom in the blue box.
However, a good T can counter this by buying a Decoy which pits a DNA trace to a small box. If you see one you should destroy it then you can find them. Another useful tool is a live check which you can call using the bind that I will show you bellow or putting “Live Check - Respond or KOS”. This can weave out who is alive and who is not. This can also be done with a radar but you don’t know who is dead.

As a Detective this Item is already purchased by default, it reduces the damage taken from bullets by 30%. Example: If you headshot a person without armor with a deagle the person immediately dies, if you headshot someone with armor they survive with 30 HP.

This item is good if you were in a gunfight and took a lot of damage to get your health back. Note: That it can be destroyed and that is a KOSable offence, unless they are given permission.

You’ve overcome the ¼ chance of getting Traitor. I will show you here how to use the role most effectively. As a traitor your main goal is to kill everyone except your traitor buddy’s, but how do I manage that? There are a lot of ways to kill everyone, you can try to go and plant C4’s all over the map and kill the innocent team slowly or you can go ahead and go on the tower and snipe everyone or you can go ahead and just go on a rampage and try your luck to kill everyone you see. There are different ways you can play as a T and it is up to you to find out which playstyle fits you the best, but I can show you some strategies that could increase your chance of winning.

[u]The Aggressive Playstyle[/u]:
So let’s start with the simplest one, going on rampage and killing everyone you see. This is basically the simplest one, but most likely the hardest to pull off. You need good aim or one of the higher unlock weapons (if you got both you basically won). There is more to this than just running into a crowd of people and going on a massacre, you need a good understanding of the game. Having a weapon that can kill someone with a headshot instantly is the easiest way to pull this off, however it requires a good aim. As I said previously you don’t just run into a crowd of people and start shooting (even though it may look like that to someone else), you pick your victims with care, there are some things you have to note:

[*]How far away are they from you?
[*]What weapon do you have?
[*]How many people?
[*]Who could possibly notice you killing them?
[*]How long would it take?
[*]What weapons do they have?
[*]Are there experienced players?[/list]
This playstyle fits you the most when you don’t like to wait the entire round for something to happen and you like to have a fast paced game, rather then have to wait 10 minutes to end 1 round. However if you just started playing this game or just started playing on this server, I would recommend you to use a different playstyle for a bit to know the environment and how the weapons are balanced and maybe get some info about the other players, who play on the server in the meantime.

The Newton Launcher when shot at someone in the body deals 6 damage no matter what the charge is and then 11 damage to the head no matter what the charge is. The charge depends on how far the person will be launched and then fall damage is added onto the 6 or 11 damage.

This item looks identical to the normal sniper but it shoots Poison Bullets that do 5 damage at a time every 1 second. If the player is at full health it will take them down to 90. It has 3 bullets total and is incredibly powerful.

This is a fast firing pistol that does 39 damage headshot and 26 or 14 damage body shot - through testing, it seems to hit 26 more than 14. In the right hands, this can be a very powerful weapon. Note: you can’t refill the ammo in the gun.

The Flare Gun is a very good weapon if used effectively as it does 44 damage to the head - this includes you burning - and does 33 damage to the body - this again includes you burning. It also can be used to burn bodys to cover your traks if the body is unIDed which can come in handy.

The Suicide Bomb is a very good weapon to use if there is a lot of people in a small space like in tester. With the Radar, it can be more effective as you can see if there is a large group of people. There is a risk to using the Suicide Bomb as when you activate it white sparkes come out of you letting people know that you have set off a Suicide Bomb and of course you will die to the explosion.

A Decoy is a very useful item as it puts your DNA lead onto a small box but this box can be destroyed. I would recommend putting it in a T room so it is hard or impossible to break.

The M98B can be a very powerful weapon. It can hold 4 ammo in its mag or clip and can be refilled with standard sniper ammo. It shots relatively quickly for a sniper. It does 75 damage to the body and 225 damage to the head.

The Poltergeist is like a clinger grenade. It can stick onto props and will give a series of “pulses” moving the prop around.

The Recombobulator is much like a discombobulator in a grenade launcher. This item is very easy to use, has little to no risk and can get you many kills if used correctly.
It is flexible with how long the timer can be set and where you place it can make it very effective. It can be used by either pressing Mouse 1 which will drop it on the floor or by pressing Mouse 2 which will place it on a wall. The timer that you set on the C4 matters at 45 seconds there will be a 5/6 chance for the person trying to defuse it or in other words only 1 of the 6 wires will result in the C4 exploding. Starting at 1 minute it will decrease to 4/6 chance. Afterwards, each additional minute added to the timer will decrease the chances of it getting defused up to ⅚ where only one of the wires will result in the C4 getting defused. Although A Detective can buy a defuser that will defuse the C4 100% of the time.

[b]When planting a C4 there are many things you need to take into consideration.

[br][center][b][u]Potential downsides to planting a C4:[/u][/b][/center]

It's possible that your traitor teammates or even yourself either forgets about one or simple
doesn't notice, resulting in your teammates death or your own.

Detectives can get DNA of the C4 if it is defused which will always lead to the Traitor who planted it (this can be countered by placing a decoy if you don’t want there to be any chance of the innocents getting your DNA).

If you end up getting killed the innocents can check your body to see which wire they need to cut to defuse the C4.


[center][u][b]Tips & tricks[/b][/u][/center]

It is highly recommended to have your volume turned up to make it easier to hear the C4’s as it’s the only way to locate them as an innocent (this could also help you out as a traitor to better avoid them).

The traitor who planted the C4 can defuse it without it exploding by cutting any wire.

You can plant multiple C4’s to increase both the amount of kills you can get but also the area the explosion will cover. An additional note to this is the possibility of timing the C4’s to all explode at the same time. This isn’t the easiest thing to do but it can be quite rewarding.

Planting the C4 early is also quite appealing as it will be more likely to hit more people.

The defibrillator can be used to revive one of your dead teammates the only downside is that they’ll show up as a traitor on the scoreboard and when speaking.

I knife is a very powerful one-shot weapon that can be used at both close and long range. If a person is close range with their back turned then you can use “Mouse 1” to instantly kill them but if they’re facing towards you then the damage is reduced to 50 and will require two hits. If they are at a distance then you can use “Mouse 2” to through the knife at them which you can pick up again.
