- Cimeris would briefly gaze towards Omen at her shown of Rage, truly another of their numbers would be coldly murdered, such would be the fate of those in which fight for the conquer of Hel.
- This one went way too soon.
- A shame.
- "Omen, if you so do wish to speak of the burning sensations in which force your soul to burn, we may speak later."
- "But for the sake of Sak'noth goals, I ask you to not damage the captured Mortal in a way in which it may damage the results of our experiments."
- "For now, let the anger be the sharpening of our blades."
- The children would speak, noding towards the masked witch before soon focusing towards Balar.
- "You were the one to capture the Mortal? Me and Sak'noth congratulate and thank you for your choice of gifting her for our experiments."
- His gaze would stay onto the Demon but for now, his words would be targeted towards Fritz.
- "The balance of blood for now is siding towards those against us, they have taken more lives than us have."
- "For now."
- (Cimeris)
- [17:28] Fritz Caewynn says, "She's an employee of my company."
- [17:29] Fritz Caewynn says, "Or -. Was. She'd been missing, except for letters."
- [17:29] Omen asks, "... who did you pay to release her?"
- [17:30] Fritz Caewynn says, "K'thul."
- [17:30] Omen asks, "Eh...?"
- [17:30] Omen the confusion only grows.
- (Omen)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:31] After finally resting for a while, it was finally time to act, the creature left through the corridors to where the dungeon was - its footsteps were heard from afar and then, the first thing seen was its gaze through the door.
- Before that one entered into the jail.
- Rising as high as possible from the prison area, the figure partially spread its wings before the voice echoed - "Where is the prisoner I was told about?" he asked, before the sight of Fritz captured his attention.
- Oh, oh my.
- The one who had permanently damaged its wings, making it impossible for that demon bird to fly for a while. Yes, she was there... In the same place where her brother was once, before his escape.
- The winged beast tapped its beak a few times before taking a few steps forward.
- "Well, well.. The sands of fate bring me something rather.. Adequate, hello there again, mortal.
- Hope you are ready for what is to come." Thus the voice echoed once more, the inhuman tone remaining.
- Somewhat pleased with what he saw.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:32] One thing after another.. Laplace returned from the hunt and yet K'thul was nowhere to be seen.. intercepted by a blond.. was it Maki's killer? Alyosha? Or perhaps someone else? It prodded his mind.. bugged him.. perhaps he should call upon him?
- The stone giant stood before the cell door alongside Omen. The many cracks in it's body revealed a sea of darkness and eyes.. golden eyes that stared Fritz down.
- "Ariamis was the one who killed Maki. Ripping her heart out."
- Conversing with a captive. How comical, and yet, it could prove itself useful.
- "Your time here will be cruel, an illusion of eternity of torment. And perhaps, this cell will be the last thing you see."
- He was not going to mince words, or fall for their misinformation.
- (Balar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:37] Breathing was hard. Her untreated injuries (plural) hardly made it any easier.
- No, this wasn't good at all.
- Fritz pressed a tongue to her teeth and blew out air.
- Her eyes flicked between the bird and the witch. "I don't want to die."
- But the world had a cruel sense of humor, didn't it?
- "...let's negotiate."
- (Fritz Caewynn)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:38] Sak'noth's voice (to Balar): Do you hold the keys to the jail?
- [17:40] Sak'noth's voice (to Omen): Do you hold the keys for the cage, Omen?
- [17:40] Balar says in telepathy, Yes, what are you looking to do?
- [17:41] Sak'noth's voice (to Omen): It will conduct experiments upon her circuitry, before the inevitable.
- [17:41] Omen says in telepathy, The cage shouldn't be locked.
- [17:41] The demons leveled their gruesome vengeance they eagerly awaited to enact, ominous scales weighing the viciousness of their consensus'.
- Amelouth intercepted a brief silence with an inquiry of her own, her eyes fixed on Fritz, an assumedly close relative to Ariamis.
- "Zymphi. Little red horned cambion child. What do you know?"
- (Amelouth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:43] Fritz Caewynn says, "Very little."
- [17:43] Fritz Caewynn says, "I know that she's red and has a tail."
- [17:43] Cimeris says, "She was captured by the Raccon of Aen."
- [17:43] Balar says, "Then killed."
- [17:44] Cimeris says, "After that? I only heard of their death."
- [17:44] Omen says, "..."
- [17:44] Cimeris says, "I tried to save her, but I were too weak."
- [17:44] Fritz Caewynn says, "I'm not Aenish. I'm opposed to Aen."
- [17:44] Fritz Caewynn says, "That's hardly -."
- [17:44] Fritz Caewynn says, "Mh."
- [17:44] Cimeris says, "While some demons decided to not intervene, a shame that not all have courage inside of them."
- [17:44] Fritz Caewynn says, "I'm sorry for your loss."
- [17:45] Omen the older witch is reeling from another tragically young death- Zymphi was even younger than Maki.
- (Omen)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:47] Fritz Caewynn says, "How about this? Fifty-thousand coins -- to release me unharmed. You can. Hold on to my things."
- [17:47] After a long moment of silent observation, the nameless one delivered a silent pat to Balar's shoulder before departing from the vicinity. It would seem that Zymphi had perished.
- (Nameless)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:47] Without saying anything else normally, the being then entered the cell where the prisoner was - squeezing through the gate which was opened and then closed by the guards, before then arriving in front of the woman.
- With his left hand he gestured to his own back, towards the wings, with his right to her.
- "You caused a rather regrettable inconvenience to me, your kin.. It brought everyone enough trouble. And your friends, allies alike only want us dead.
- They hunt and they kill, without any second moment of thinking - there was no negotiation for them..
- So.. Do you really think there will be a negotiation after everything that happened? Do you really think anyone would consider something like that. No, don't be silly for thinking it, that won't happen.
- Your end will be due, a retaliation for everything stricken during the last year." The voice echoed through the place, he didn't intend to torture her as the others did.
- No, he was very straightforward in his approach to this - what he was aiming for was simple, study. Understand the circuits of the mortal to then apply this knowledge in his projects in the future..
- And nothing more.
- "Do not move." Accordingly, his claw was lifted and moved to her forehead, not with speed to penetrate her skull - but just, touch.
- What came next would soon be seen.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:48] A guttural laughter filled the room.
- "Coin? Really?
- Eyes looked between everyone present, mainly the two demons present.
- "Demonkind has little need for coin. And if any of the coven would be so utterly pathetic to let a mortal go for some coin? I'd kill them on the spot myself."
- (Balar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:54] Omen says, "I... will see if K'thul returns."
- [17:56] Her eyes narrowed, frustration rising. "I can hardly offer anything unless I know what you *want.*"
- Of course, Fritz's circuits were not exceptional for a mage.
- Her father was a common sailor, her mother a peasant from the Port. The mage's circuits reflected this.
- As the claw touched her forehead, her heartbeat quickened. Fritz froze.
- (Fritz Caewynn)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:02] When touched, a small sting could be felt, but that was the least of the effects - as subsequent to the act the ether emanated from the creature and began to flow in the direction of the claw, before invading the circuits that were around the brain.
- As expected.
- The filaments invisible to the naked eye, which carried the mana produced by the 'node' and made the use of magic possible. These that were normally filled by the magi's mana, were now filled by the pure occultic energy of the demon's.
- Terrible.
- And the effects? It was stinging.. burning to some extent, not extreme, but what would affect it most was the mind - for the occult drives mortals insane and here, she could suffer some of the effects.
- As this was the pure energy, one coming from a demon.
- "As my kin said, coins don't matter. Neither do objects.. We don't need it, we never will - what matters here is what we can achieve.
- The research.. that I'm doing being of great importance, more than anything that you or anyone could offer.." He added, but was she listening to him? Probably not right now.
- It didn't matter.. He kept going, studying first how the circuits in the brain worked - something that even if he tried, he couldn't do it during the combats in the forests.
- "Intriguing." Said commenting, while the process continued.
- (Sak'noth)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:02] Sak'noth's voice (to Cimeris): Do not touch the subject. Only, observe.
- [18:05] Yes, they spoke the truth. What use had they for the possessions of mortals? Why would they release a prisoner? Foolish questions.
- "Research for Sak'noth, whatever it is that your hunter will desire. And for me? I want Ariamis Caewynn."
- The one who had roused the ire of many with a simple action. A single life that impacted so many..
- (Balar)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:10] The contents of Fritz's soul?
- A propensity for violence, reckless ambition, a thirst for glory and riches.
- More blood; pain put on display for the watching demons.
- The situation was only getting worse.
- It was inconvenient that things would end so soon.
- (Fritz Caewynn)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:14] Vortissax reads the message the Ravens delivered through the witches power a slight glance back into the cage where the captured Caewynn was stored.
- (Vortissax)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:14] Omen says, "... a moment."
- [18:14] Vortissax says, "As expected of mortals. Merciless and yet they pretend we are the only monsters of Meranthe."
- [18:15] Cimeris would stand at the side of the room, his gaze focusing mostly onto Sak'noth than the prisioner standing in front of them, seemingly, this one would've been the one to attack his master onto the past.
- Truly the destiny would prove to be quite funny at times, which would result with Cimeris smiling to himself.
- Only if briefly.
- As one of his claws would touch the woman's forehead, Cimeris would observe such thing witch caution, the sudden flicks from her body making it more than apparent that Sak'noth mana would be being forced onto her.
- Something in which most if not all mortals would be able to endure.
- "What have you discovered?" A raise of a eyebrow followed as the Cambion would hear the comment from Sak'noth, it were a shame that he could not feel the mana mapping the circuits of her.
- If Cimeris hoped to learn something onto that experiment.
- He had to hope that Sak'noth would explain it to him.
- (Cimeris)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:22] The mana flowed through the brain and then to the spine, circling and circling before then proceeding to the heart - yet, what did he find in his search across the body? The functionality, how instrictly these filaments were with the organs..
- How the one depended on the other in a magi's body!
- In addition to how modable these filaments were.
- "Innumerable things, Cambion." The being answered, but now it would make it clearer what it was about, "Functionalities and other differences, which are not seen in our race - the fragility and malleability.
- Yes, that.. It will help, it will help a lot in the research - it will serve to produce what I mentioned in the past to you." The being said, but did not give more details since there were others there.
- For the most part, he had what he needed in order and with that, his hand was taken away. The claw removed, however the mana remained - this would be 'purified' by her circuitry over time, just as a disease was by the immune system.
- Yes, it wouldn't be a problem.
- "We're done for.. Now." He brought his head closer to the woman, his eyes darting to the side to stare right at her - "Enjoy your time well here, mortal.
- For the future is not bright.. And..
- Helheim is not a very welcoming place for your kind." With that, he walked away, turned and left the cell at last.
- He had gotten what he wanted, it had been an excellent day.
- (Sak'noth)
