  14. For decades, we've been working with the concept of non-standard DE energy, testing the applications, limitations, and many other facets of this mysterious energy. There was just so much to learn, and even as of 2145, we were constantly learning new things from associated research, even though we hadn't gone much further beyond Warmongers and the understanding of how they truly worked.

  16. But everything changed when Gamera showed up. After I was psychically linked to Atlantis's creation, I gained access to the ancient civilization's vast reserves of knowledge, stuff we never even knew about until I was connected to their world.

  18. We were introduced to Mana, a form of energy that was similar to NSDEE, yet different at the same time. It was what the Atlanteans used in the creation of their biological and mechanical miracles, the ultimate source of power. I just knew that there was a relationship between the two forms of energy somewhere, and I was gonna find it.

  20. With the help of one of the leading experts in the field of non-standard DE energy and my good friend, Dr. Anna Maximoff, we set out on a mission: determine the link between Mana and NSDEE.

  22. Obviously, I turned towards the archives of Atlantis to uncover what they had known about the situation. Apparently, they knew about what we call non-standard DE energy all along! According to translations, this form of energy was what inspired the basis for Chi or Ki, being an energy state that existed within every single living organism, albeit inaccessible under normal circumstances.

  24. This was very exciting for me and Anna! From what I could gather, Atlantis's top researchers believed that this Ki was merely the byproduct of the system of Mana permeating throughout the Earth itself. We knew already that Mana was organized into some kind of organized system of energy, but these findings helped to really push our understanding of the state of everything around us!

  26. If what they theorized is true, we could have a whole new debate on the existence of being!

  37. We once again dig into some of the more supernatural aspects that Atlantis held in such high esteem. Specifically, the idea of being able to create an actual deity.

  39. And I don't just mean extremely strong individuals who happen to be able to destroy and/or create worlds. I mean actual "omniscient and fundamental aspects of the universe" kind of deities.

  41. Yeah...... this is some pretty heavy stuff. I don't buy into it exactly, but after everything that's happened so far....... I wouldn't put it past me for this sort of thing to have some sort of real-world basis.

  43. We know that Mana, and its derivative Ki, are able to alter the laws of physics that we once held dear as irrefutable facets of existence itself. That was obviously the first step to towards my understanding of this whole ordeal. So, the Atlanteans believed that, although tapping into Mana was an act that created the basic physical equivalent to a 'god', it wasn't quite enough.

  45. They believed that Mana represented the very essence of a fundamental aspect of the universe, and I'm inclined to agree. It's found in all manner of objects, be them animate or not. So, being able to access it, or even Ki for that matter, at all is nothing short of miraculous in and of itself. But, like all things in existence, Atlantis had to find out more, experiment more, understand more.

  47. Although such plans ultimately never came to fruition, Atlantis's greatest minds did begin preliminary research on the idea of infusing a living creature into a fundamental aspect of existence itself.

  49. They never did come up with any viable means. The furthest they got was knowing that it would take an extremely high amount of energy, a Mana Derivation Complex, and some third factor. Maybe one day I'll live long enough to see such a process come to bear fruit. I've seen plenty of miraculous things already. Why not one more?
