Massive world MS latency issues spikes all the way to 8k+ I tried everything on my end. I don't know what else I should do. It's been like this since this morning.

I am getting the exact same issue. I just logged on and my World MS is 10k+. Done everything on my end and its not my isp

Same here but I don't dc. I have received loot from bosses that on my screen was still at 30% because of how hard I am lagging.

Google Charter outage map and you'll see that the Carolina's and Alabama are having an outage. It appears to be state wide.

Why is it only affecting Blizzard websites and games, though?

All the rest of the internet is great for me. Streaming, speed tests, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc...it's all running smooth and fast with no hiccups at all.

Maybe because you notice packet loss more with a game than other sites, IDK. Im in the same boat as you. I am not having any issues anywhere other than WOW. But we all know that unless 3/4 of the WOW population has an issue, they are going to do nothing but tell people to run trace route tests and reset your modem. Either way we are screwed.

No, I'm 100% sure it's not me "noticing the packet loss with a game," more. Their website (this very page you're on right now reading this comment) is laggy as hell. It takes over 30 seconds to fully load any Blizzard website page. And 12,000 MS lag in WoW (12 seconds of lag) is substantial, not slight. I'm not lagging or slow in the slightest elsewhere, and can even stream 4k videos with zero buffering or issues. My internet speed tests are also coming up with near max amounts of both download and upload.

There are no problems with anything but Blizzard services and games. This includes Hearthstone, Diablo 3, Overwatch and WoW...as well as their websites.

I don't know how to be any more clear than I am at this point. Taking 4 people with Charter and drawing a conclusion that it must be an internet outrage is like pulling 4 green M&Ms out of a bag in a row without peeking first and assuming the entire bag must be only green M&Ms.

My question is: If there's a supposed Charter outage in NC, why is my internet still perfect with zero lag for everything except Blizzard stuff. That is what I want explained.

Yea. My world ms was just fine until I joined to kill the world boss, then it jumped up to like 10000ms. Its a Blizz issue, but they are not gonna do anything about it to 3/4 of the WOW population has the exact issue.

You might want to learn how traceroute works. That time out on the second hop has nothing to do with latency or connection issues.
