▌PERSONALITY:
 Akemi will seem shy at first, but will eventually open up. She is very bubbly and joyful. She enjoys making people smile and laugh and has a kind, caring heart. But she seems to be oblivious to a lot of things. She is very clumsy and seems to always trip over nothing. But that doesn't stop her from being very comfortable and confident on stage or in front of others. Though she may seem very cute, her demeanor can change in an instant depending on the song she's dancing or performing to.
▌BACKGROUND:
Akemi was born and raised in East Honolulu with her older brother.
She grew up speaking multiple languages (English, Japanese & Korean) because of her grandparents (both sides) and mother not speaking very much English.
She started doing Hula at the age of 5 and Tahitian dance at 7 which is how she figured out that she liked performing.
She stopped all activities when she was 10 due to personal reasons.
She gained interest in Kpop around the age of 12 where she started copying the dances and taking dance again, this time with Hip Hop, Modern and Creative along with a bit of Jazz.
Her parents allowed her to audition online for Korean Entertainment companies including JYP, Pledis and YG to name a few. Her parents didn't think she would actually get in for auditions so they promised that if she did, they would let her go.
She was accepted as a trainee into  an entertainment company in October 2015 (she was 13).

▌Q1: What does a trainee mean to you? explain

To me, a trainee is someone working or training to become or do something. That person is practicing hard to be successful doing whatever they are training for. Whether it be practicing suturing to become a surgeon, or practicing dance to become an idol. They are still practicing to improve so they can be and do the best they can in their field of work.

▌Q2: When you think of the word TRAINEE what do you think of first.

When I think of the word "trainee", the first thing that usually comes to mind is the trainees from entertainment companies. I am one, and that's what we are referred to as. Which is probably the reason I think of entertainment company trainees when I hear the word "trainee".

▌Q3: What would completely break your character?

Something that would make Akemi break down and cry would be if someone were to insult or bully her to her face. If the insults aren't to her face, she does a pretty good job of ignoring them or keeping a strong face. She has had bad experiences with bullies in the past, so she learned to ignore the things said indirectly. But if it is to her face, she just can't handle it and will either break down on the spot or run and hide.

▌Q4: Why did your character join MISSION IDOL.

Akemi joined MISSION IDOL to prove to herself, her family, and the world that she has what it takes to become idol. Her parents let her audition and promised that if she got in, they would let her move so she could become a trainee. They didn't think she would actually get in. So this is partially to prove to them and the rest if her family that she IS talented and that making it into a company, wasn't a fluke. Akemi is also seeking confirmation that the world also thinks she is talented. Which would prove to herself that this is still worth pursuing, whether she makes it into the final line up or not.

▌Q5: What do you consider the most valuable memory that influenced you to do what you do today?

As previously mentioned, Akemi had bad experiences with bullies in the past. It drove her into a horrible depression. Then, one of her friends introduced her to kpop. She started covering the dances and rediscovered her passion for dance and performing. This dug her out of her hole of depression and -hopefully- sealed it away for good.

▌Q6: In general how well do u treat others? politely,rudely,passive aggressively?

Akemi is a very respectful person. Being a victim of bullying, she knows she doesn't like people who are rude and mean. Which is why she treats everyone with respect, even those who are a bit rude to her. She believes everyone deserves to be respected.

▌Q7: If someone in your team were being rude or greedy how would you react?

Akemi is a bit timid. She usually wouldn't say anything, unless she felt it directly involved her. Even then, she wouldn't get in their face about it. Akemi would either go to someone who will handle it or will handle it calmly to the best of her ability. But if the person were to get or keep getting in her face about the situation, Akemi would shrink back and not say anything more.

▌Q8: Are you Confident with yourself?

Akemi is what you would probably call, semi-confident. She is confident while performing in front of people and it makes her seem like she's confident about everything. But that is not the case. Akemi isn't confident with her weight. She thinks she would be better off a bit lighter. When Akemi sees other female idols that she looks up to who are the same height as her, they are usually lighter than she is. Akemi sometimes compares herself to other idols. Which, sadly, damages her self image.
