- Entering the residence, XC who now that no longer kept his body fully covered by a cloak and his face by a mask, would guide Harbinger to the table.
- He had requested a moment to talk earlier, a few weeks before, but only now got it! Perfect, but first - "Question, do you rather prefer we focus on the questions straight away or a more casual approach?" Tilting his head to the side the Empyrean would then change the way he spoke, formally he began, "Harbinger, how's your day? Hoping it was exemplary." They had two ways to go.
- Both led to the same topic, one took longer than the other.
- And it would depend on DI to decide.
- (Stolas)
- The Harbinger would follow after Stolas to the table. For DI there is no removal of a mask, nor cloak. The Harbinger is himself whether in public or in private.
- "I do tend to go more direct. Maybe I can make more time now, however. Ussually, as Harbinger, I attempt to stay out and accessiable to any who need to speak, so I try to make meetings brief. However, if Pascha is now one, I can make more time."
- "My day was well. Your own? And Either way is fine with me."
- (DI)
- Nodding, the empyrean would continue.
- "Similar to many other days recently, aside of a few encounters outside - nothing that was too relevant. At least I attended the ceremony, even if nothing was said since I didn't get to know Locus." Well, while the others went to Sarea.. XC remained to work alongside his Harbinger.
- As such, he never had the opportunity to speak with his brother face to face, now.. Not even having such a possibility anymore, unfortunately.
- "Have you heard about When's situation, about what happened? You see, when this happened, I ended up getting there at the end of it.. So many problems lately." Details, conversation.. Before then, "Now, I've been asking questions to others around the settlement, some more personal and some more focused.
- But it all comes back to you in the end.. As you do seem to be the one who have the informations here." His metallic hand was used to gesture to the other Empyrean, "So, I wanted to know a few things. Such, as how is the creation of an Empyrean done? The complete process.
- Every detail.
- As much as my knowledge of this is existent, it only extends to knowing some things that are necessary - such as building the model and using the heart.
- Nothing else." Too much to talk about, so much to cover.
- Let's see if he can get everything he needs at once.
- "Secondly, I wanted to know more about the origin of our 'sister', Songbird. How was she was create, the entire process and the reason.. And everything else, of course." Adding that question, he finally relapsed into silence.
- (Stolas)
- "IT is a shame what happened to Locus. What needed to be done, needed to be done, but I do wish that it wasn't required. Still, this is better then the world suffering Karrador. He made a tough choice."
- DI gave a singular nod, pausing then.
- "Which situation do you mean with When exactly? There's a lot of situations that happen. As for your question,"
- "It would be incorrect to assume that anyone knows the full ins and outs of how Empyreans are created."
- "Our souls come from the Emerald Heart. However, if our brother, the Arbiter, is to be believed, the Heart is one who ferries and cleanses souls from the realm of Nevanerro to the living. From there, the shell is created, by the hands of humans, or other Empyreans, not the Heart itself."
- "The soul is put into the shell, and you have a new Empyrean." It may not have been as eye opening as Stolas hoped.
- "Songbird was created on Sarea. Her soul comes from the Emerald Heart. Past that, her shell was created by myself, Volkner, and Alexandra. You may want to be more specific past that."
- "As for the reason; When the Heart is ready, it brings forth a soul. The Heart was simply ready."
- (DI)
- "A sacrifice for the good of all, understandable.. But unfortunate considering that whoever had to effect such a thing - was one of us." Shaking his head, the answer to DI's question would come, "When, the person who is going on dates with the Harbinger Pascha, accompanied the Chimera demon to their extraplanar plane after an argument, with the apparent intention of going to see Chiriel.
- Rather problematic in my opinion." His explanation was offered, the same one that had been given to others before.
- That is, for some adept.
- Regardless, the details regarding the creation apparently weren't entirely.. specific. Therefore, he would apparently have to work on something himself - but what was said by DI, would be remembered.
- "Intriguing, that being so.. One more question. Is it possible to turn mortals into Empyreans?" It was a possibility, at least in his mind, but he had to be reassured, "I've been thinking about this topic for some time now." Another nod before giving him time to respond.
- Now, one more thing.
- "Also, could you teach me how to create a new model? A new empyrean." Of course, that's what he wanted to get to, "Aside from that, it is not necessary to continue this topic, you've already answered my doubts.. From what you said about her, I can conclude on my own.
- Thank you." Now, he awaited for his time to speak once again.
- (Stolas)
- "It is. But Locus would trust no one else with it. The man's mind was unable to be broken, always forging forward for what he believed in. Never hesitating." DI would note.
- "And that does sound problematic. Did they return? And did they willingly go with Chirmera?" The Harbinger briefly inquired, before moving onto the question.
- "If you hold the Arbiter's theory to be true, if you wanted to turn someone into an Empyrean, you could throw them into the Emerald Heart. It would cause a process known as a death, but it may allow for their soul to be transfered after the Heart is done with it."
- "Of course, doing so would leave behind no memory, leaving behind what is effectively a new being. So while it may be possible, it would not allow the retaining of who that indivisual is."
- "As for creating a new model, I can teach you. It is... suprisingly easy to be able to create a new Empyrean model, I believe. The hard part tends to be working with the soul."
- "And you're welcome."
- (DI)
- Now XC could regret a few more days for not having had the chance to properly get to know his brother. Oh no.
- But.. Focus, priorities here.
- "Yes, as said an argument took place.. I didn't get all the details, but in the end an agreement in which if she accompanied him, she would see Chiriel and be brought back later.
- I still don't know if she returned and I have doubts about the veracity of that entity's words. Of this whole deal, being honest." He doesn't trust demons at all, nor mortals, both are greed..
- And can be corrupted, the latter mainly.
- Now.. Throwing the person into the Emerald Heart would make them face deatj.. But then, transcend into a new form - giving them a better life and superior to the previous one.
- Oh, that made sense.
- "Oh, probably a lot of mortals would love that, being able to 'start over again'. Ah, it makes me wonder so many things.. And well, it's not like we need the memories, just ensure ther functionality, a path for them to follow and this should do.
- Yes.. Mhmhm.." Now, it was possible to see the Empyrean power.. Too much, about that.
- Oh no.
- "Really? Great, we can start soon then and as far as the soul subject goes, we can deal with that later - once I learn to develop appropriate models." He could think of some models right now, his own ideas.
- New Empyreans, coming from him.
- Fabulous.
- "Finally, I just have one more thing to ask from you." Not mentioning at the start, a standard tactic for extending a conversation - to raise curiosity.
- (Stolas)
- "I also don't trust demons, and mortals are so eeasily tempted now in days as well." The Harbinger admitted, giving a faint disapproving shake of his head.
- "I hope she was able to return uncorupted. I imagine either way I will be hearing it soon. However, past that,"
- "Don't throw people into the Emerald Heart. At least, not the unwilling. Maybe there are some mortals who would like to start over, but such a will does not guarentee they will. It is perhaps a gamble. They may simply die, and be condemned to Nevanerro to suffer for eternity." He stated simply.
- "And we can go over it in the future then. Really, it's not that difficult to create an Empyrean. Shells are easy, mainly just needing to be shaped into what is desired. It's like blacksmithing."
- "What is the final topic?"
- (DI)
- "So we wait, still I fear for what the Harbinger's reaction will be." He didn't know this person, he had no ties to them.. But one of his leaders, Pascha, was involved with this one.
- A relationship.
- If something happened to her and this lead to him acting stupidly because of emotions, it would affect everyone in the Settlement and Stolas, wouldn't be willing to allow that to happen - but what a simple Empyrean could do.. Oh such a situation.
- "Ahh.. Of course, this will not happen." His own voice as he said this, remained the same, robotic and apathetic - devoid of any expression as always.
- And so.. For now there was only one guarantee, that he would learn how to make new Empyrean models.
- "Sure. I want to know what is your opinion about Empyreans having feelings, building bonds with other beings - this question does come from the fact that our brother has a wife." He could only be talking about XVI here, Drahcir.
- Because well.. he was still confused and wondering, the usefulness of it. It was a problematic situation.
- (Stolas)
- "It shouldn't be too bad. Should it truly handicap Pascha, I will handle the situation myself." The Harbinger would state simply. He did seem to at least make it seem like he could handle it.
- There is a slight nod then. "It's happened before but different results at different times. Not to mention Mother, herself, is sentient. If she does not want someone to return, she will simply not return them." However, the topic then does shift to Empyreans having feelings.
- "One must make sure that said feelings do not impact the mission. In the past, I too had a wife;"
- "The mission required secrecy at the time. She did not believe in keeping secrets. The mission took priority, and the marriage ended."
- "That said, I think Drahcir leans a little too into his emotions. I don't believe Empyreans were created to serve beings such as Amada. But as long as he continues to face our foes, I don't object."
- (DI)
- He listens, in addition to receiving an assurance that apparently DI would handle the situation if something problematic happened - apparently, XC could trust his exemplary Kin's judgment.. Since this one even prioritized the mission over a relationship.
- Perfect.
- And now, the opinion of Stolas, "Do you know why that question was made? Simple, you must have already noticed because of the way I speak and also what was said.
- Well, I don't see emotions as something positive, they enter into our focused vision and affect the productivity of our work. We were created with a purpose, a function.. Not for this.
- Since such, may diverge that primary focus." Centered as ever, he didn't change his tone, "But well, as long as everything continues working well.. Maybe it's not so necessary to act, to fix it." And here was his decision, after asking and discussing the matter with some people..
- So that would conclude their conversation.
- "Very well, thank you Harbinger DI for your cooperation, assistance and also moment to speak - this conversation has helped a lot and the future looks promising.
- Let's get back to Square." Rising from his seat, he would approach the other Empyrean and then gesture to the door.
- (Stolas)
- There is pause actually.
- "While I do agree with you that emotions can often be negative, and surpurfluous, to the point of endangering the mission, there is one part of what you said which is inncorrect."
- The Harbinger would voice.
- "I, too, was intially under the same impression you are. I have such learned otherwise. I've spoken with Mother often, with the Emerald Heart."
- "We are not created with purpose. We are created without it. We are given free will."
- "Our purpose is technically our own to decide. That said, an Empyrean should be loyal to the Empire all the same. It is what created us, gave us life."
- "Past that, however, I am in agreement with you. The mission and what we choose comes first."
- A simple nod.
- "You are welcome Stolas. Should you ever wish to speak more on this topic, feel free to approach me."
- If Stolas desired to go, DI would go with them.
- (DI)
- XC would remain still, waiting for the conversation to end the moment he said for them to return to the square.. But the opposite happened, DI offered even more things for him to ponder.
- Oh my.
- Something else to 'bubble up' in the Empyrean's mind, who had already considered so many more things since he arrived in Sarea - since while in the capital he always focused on work.. He didn't consider these things.
- Well, it didn't matter.
- "Ah.. All this will be.. Considered and thought about. Again, thank you DI.." It was what he could offer for now to the Harbinger, before then going on.. Move outside.
- (Stolas)
