  1. ROBACTORY BETA TESTING NOTES - Luke Burgess
  2.
  3. -It took me a while just to find the building menu. I would suggest making the tab used to pull it up brighter, larger, or in some way more noticable. Perhaps there could be a keyboard shortcut to open/close it.
  4.
  5. -Tooltips for the machines in addition to pictograms would, I think, speed up the building and learning process for players.
  6.
  7. -When the player is placing a machine, it would be helplful to include not just information about the machine's size and orientation in the green box that appears at the mouse cursor, but also information about the location and orientation of the I/O doors on that machine.
  8.
  9. -It may also be helpful to include arrows, or the words "Input" and "output" (or just the letters I and O) on the machines to clear up confusion about which color (green or yellow) is the input and which is the output, because I had them mixed up for a few minutes.

  11. The interface for the machines themselves, unfortunately, is still rather cryptic to me. I understand the inventory system at the bottom-right and the build menu at the top left, but the other fields are mysterious. I concluded that the one at the bottom where the player selects the name of another component on the grid was for selecting the destination for the materials. I was able to gather that some machines required a certain number of parts in their inventories to make certain items. Beyond that, I was mostly lost. Again, if I had more time, I think I could work it out without a tutorial.

  13. I am a huge fan of the launcher and the 3D modeling. Your work on this game is very impressive.
