Also PopcornTime and these sites all download the movie. Streaming is also downloading the movie. Popcorntime however uses the bittorrent protocol which requires you to 'Upload' when you 'Download' any type of content. Uploading copyrighted content is illegal in many countries and because Bittorrent is 'NOT' anonymous, your ip address can get tracked out of the list of people downloading/uploading. This tracking of IP Adresses can result in a fine proposal mailed to your name. Streaming with sites similar to the onces i mentioned above, only download from a video file locker. There is never any uploading required, which makes it nearly impossible for copyright companies to track what you're watching.
