  1. This couldn't wait.
  2.
  3. For while the meteorite landing the other day was something that could be seen as an entirely different issue, the truth is, ever since he's heard that the cycle would likely just repeat, he couldn't get that out of his head.
  4.
  5. "Ever since we obtained Leonaus Grimoire, there's something great that I unveiled. I'm unsure if you've heard of the ritual hosted within Alabastre, but it unveiled the symphony of the Universe to us."
  6.
  7. "One, if we learn to listen to, could lead us to wisdom and making of decisions that could very well end this threat of witches."
  8.
  9. "Once and for all."
  10.
  11. Perhaps, there's a way to cut off their connection to Dark Lord. Perhaps, there's a way to seal Dark Lord.. or maybe a way to ward off Esshar against the influence of such spiritual being in the first place.
  12.
  13. There are a thousand answers. All of them are theories, but nothing confirmed.
  14.
  15. "After we discussed the potential of getting rid of them permanently, I realized one thing.."
  16.
  17. "We cannot know the exact outcome of our actions, but with foresight of the stars, imbued with spiritual strength, we could." And thankfully, both Rhoynish and Teraphim are spiritually attuned unlike any other.
  18.
  19. "It's why I come here to ask aid in building the Eye of Alabastre, one that could provide such necessary insight, and help us in solving problems like these."
  20.
  21. Though, with a pause, he adds.
  22.
  23. "I don't expect you to take decision quick."
  24.
  25. "So if you have questions, ask them."
  26. (Basil)
  27.
  28. The High Lord appeared far more tired that usual, or as if he had a cold of some sort. He hadn't been present at the meteor's falling, but it appeared as though Myllenoris understood why and where he had gone. Something was different, as could be noted by a splitting line of crystal that arched up the side of Finn's neck and across his cheek where gem had replaced skin and likely tissue and muscle underneath.
  29.
  30. But still he stood with the Crown of Aschea atop his head and addressed Basil's project.
  31.
  32. "I'd heard some news of it, yes. Though mostly just talk, no real explanations or in depth knowledge of your work." The Teraphim's eyelids lowered as he listened, his focus never faltering even if it seemed to relax some, even at the mention of defeating the Coven for good.
  33.
  34. "The Eye of Alabastre.." he repeated as Basil called it that. "If you've found something that could see us end the blight of Esshar then you'll have my support. In terms of ridding ourselves of witches, the ends justify the means, so there's little else to wonder or question." A gamble of a statement but one that spoke of the High Lord's hatred for the abhorrent nature of his foe.
  35.
  36. "Of course I'd like to learn more. Perhaps we can visit together soon on the subject?"
  37.
  38. His dilated gaze shifted to Agate and Tieru, a small nod offered to them for heeding his call.
  39.
  40. "..though today I have some matters to tend to in my home, I am more than willing to travel to Alabastre or Ilburg when it's convenient for you." he said back to Basil.
  41. (Finn Ghede)
  42.
  43. The talk of Festivals is strange. Especially in the wake of so much death and destruction- which only brings up the question of whether or not it would be wise to do such a thing when there is an issue with mimics and more within their vicinity. For the moment, the woman remains silent, hands tucked behind her back as she speaks. "The Eye of Alabastre is nothing more than an Avatar of my connection to my star." She'd add while waving a hand. "-The sun. It'll gather the knowledge that we need in order to beat back anything decadent. Not just the witches, but the dopplegangers...Or even ways to prevent more 'meteors' from showing up should it ever happen again." A shrug of her shoulders. A nod.
  44.
  45. "There's...A lot more to say as well, but I find that I'd be taking up your time so, yes...We'll just have you come to Alabastre when you can and explain the rest to you...Besides, I don't think you've visited our city at all. It'd be a pleasure to host you."
  46.
  47. A wave. A smile.
  48. (Mars)
  49.
  50. A brief note is taken upon the appearance of Finn.
  51.
  52. These signs.. was the High Lord of Myllenoris running short on time, or was it the fact that he remained somewhat damaged after the event with meteorite? For while the Rhoynish King remains silent upon such observation for a moment, eventually he speaks out.
  53.
  54. "I anticipate it to be a difficult endeavour."
  55.
  56. "For while Leonaus Grimoire provides the necessary technique to actually complete something like this, and I already travelled to far reaches of Esshar to obtain them.."
  57.
  58. "It's actually organizing and fuelling this process which would be most difficult."
  59.
  60. And there's a particular reason why he actually came to the Teraphim. There's a very specific reason why he speaks to Finn about it now.
  61.
  62. "...And I expect it to be linked to spiritual realm to seek out all that we need, as well as predict events before they happen."
  63.
  64. Such foresight.. is it actually seeing into the future, and its potential events, or merely calculating the probability of something - based on all the knowledge that stars possess, based on all the wisdom that they gathered across thousands of years?
  65.
  66. Likely the latter.
  67.
  68. "If you'd prefer to discuss it later, we could."
  69. (Basil)
  70.
  71. It almost sounded to good to be true, but so did many such concepts in their own time. Mar's explanation garnered a little more curious interest from the High Lord, now not only because she spoke of a way to beat back the witches, but to avoid catastrophic stars falling from the heavens should such a thing ever threaten Esshar again. It was something he couldn't rightly pass up on.
  72.
  73. "It's true, my visits there were usually with Asta, as brief as they were." Finn said in regards to his lack of travel out west. Often he quietly mourned the loss of days where he roamed freely without responsibility rooting him to his home.
  74.
  75. "It all sounds.. promising." Finn continued, hearing Basil's explanations next. "I've my own arrangements to be making as the Valeborne prepares for another dive into the depths of our grove, but I'm sure I can lend a hand in something of this nature as well. It'd only be fitting for the Teraphim to continue doing what they can to fend off our rivals."
  76.
  77. The idea of predicting the future with the will of the spirits was something that didn't come without a cost however. "You should expect a sacrifice for such power." Finn started, a bit blunt. As if to quickly correct the sort of image that might give, he went on, "..and a sacrifice can be anything. The Coven use souls and essence to fuel theirs due to the potency, but given we aren't of their sort, we can give up much more. I'd expect I can explain this concept more when we meet, but it's something to keep in mind should you truly wish to seek a connection to the spirits in this."
  78.
  79. "I'll be sure to stop by soon, so long as I'm not kept busy with.." he waved his hand, gesturing to pretty much everything around him within the borders of Myllenoris. "..and even then I'll find the time."
  80. (Finn Ghede)
  81.
  82. The sacrifice is something that he expected.
  83.
  84. And truthfully, it is something that he could be more than willing to give up, if only due to the fact that it could be something that would ensure their prosperity and the ward against the witches, as well as their actions. For while they cannot be there to prevent actions of every single witch..
  85.
  86. Perhaps something else can warn them of it before it happens.
  87.
  88. "The Leonaus Grimoire provides techniques to make such bonds, and wire new circuitry altogether. With that, the power of sacrifice could be channelled somewhere in particular."
  89.
  90. "It also provides the way to establish link to the stars, to turn them into celestial engine of sort.. but that's another matter." A pause, to which he adds- something more concrete about the way how they would do it.
  91.
  92. "I would expect to link several stars, use Chiron as well and construct the place for the Eye itself. But-"
  93.
  94. "Linking it to spiritual realm, as well as the sacrifice part - that is where I need help."
  95.
  96. "That is why I came to you."
  97.
  98. The Eye of Alabastre was an ambitious project, one that wasn't even limited to Alabastre itself - but the entirety of Esshar, as well as its well-being. And while Basil possessed the celestial knowledge..
  99.
  100. He lacked in spiritual prowess in comparison. It is why it must become the joint effort.
  101.
  102. "We'll continue speaking of it on the later date."
  103.
  104. "For now.. best of luck in your own business."
  105. (Basil)
